At the far edge of the village of Nildanga stood an old abandoned mansion, feared by everyone. Even during the day, people avoided that place, and after sunset, no one dared to go near it.
But Rudra was different. He was not afraid of the unknown. Instead, he felt strangely drawn toward it.
When he first saw the mansion, something about it caught his attention—the broken windows, the moss-covered walls, and the deep silence that surrounded it. It felt like the house was hiding countless untold stories.
One evening, as the sun slowly disappeared behind the horizon, Rudra decided to step inside...The moment he stepped inside, a cold breeze brushed past him. The air felt heavy, almost as if the house itself was watching him.
He looked around slowly. The walls were cracked, covered in moss, and the floor was filled with dust. Every step he took echoed through the empty halls.
Then suddenly, he heard something.
A soft, distant melody.
It was faint, almost like a whisper carried by the wind. Rudra stopped and listened carefully. The sound seemed to be coming from upstairs.
Curiosity pulled him forward.
He walked toward the staircase, his heartbeat growing louder with each step. As he reached the top, the melody became clearer.
And then… he saw her.
A girl stood near the window, bathed in pale moonlight. Her white dress moved gently, even though there was no wind.
She didn't look like someone from this world.
For a moment, Rudra couldn't move. He just stood there, staring.
Something about her felt unreal… yet strangely familiar. She slowly turned toward him.
Her eyes met his, and for a moment, everything felt still. There was no fear in her gaze, only a quiet sadness that seemed to have lived there for years.
Rudra felt his breath catch in his throat. He wanted to speak, to ask who she was, but the words wouldn't come out.
The girl took a small step forward. Her movements were slow, almost as if she was unsure of her own existence.
The faint melody that he had heard before—it was coming from her.
Rudra realized that she was the one singing.
But her lips were not moving.
A chill ran down his spine.
This wasn't normal. Nothing about this was normal.
And yet… he didn't want to run away.
Instead, he found himself taking a step closer.
The air grew colder.
"Who are you?" he finally whispered.
The girl didn't answer.
She only looked at him, as if she had been waiting for him for a very long time.
Outside, the wind howled softly, and the old mansion creaked as if it was alive.
Rudra felt it then—this place was hiding something.
And somehow… he had just become a part of it.But as he turned to leave, he heard it again—
The same melody.
Only this time, it was right behind him.
Rudra froze.
Slowly, he turned around.
The girl was gone.
The room was empty.
Yet the cold air still lingered… and the feeling that he was no longer alone.
Something had changed.
And deep inside, Rudra knew—
This was only the beginning.
