The smile on Logan's face slowly disappeared.

The moment those words reached his ears, the world around him seemed to become strangely quiet.
Even time itself appeared to slow.
Ethan frowned.
"Huh?"
He turned toward Logan.
"Who's she talking to?"
Logan didn't answer.
His gaze remained fixed on the silver-haired woman.
The woman tilted her head ever so slightly.
"I won't take much of your time."
Her voice was gentle.
Warm.
Almost impossible to refuse.
Logan opened the car door before anyone could stop him.

His feet landed softly on the road.

He walked toward her.
Behind him, Ethan stared blankly.
"Logan?"
No response.
Luna's brows knitted together.
For the first time since meeting him, she couldn't understand what she was seeing.
It was as though Logan had entered a completely different world.
One that existed separately from everyone else.
The woman watched him approach before giving a small nod.
