Riya had always loved noise.
Whether it was the TV playing at home, the sound of traffic outside, or music on her phone—she felt like something was missing if there was silence. Silence scared her.
But life slowly pushed her into it.
One day, without any warning, everything in Riya's life began to slow down. She couldn't focus on her studies, nor did she feel like doing anything. She became quiet. There was a strange heaviness inside her, as if something was breaking, but she didn't know what.
People said, "Stay busy, and everything will be fine."
But the more she tried to stay busy, the emptier she felt inside.
One night, the electricity went out.
The whole house was covered in darkness. Her phone battery was almost dead too. Riya kept her phone aside, and for the first time, she experienced herself without any distractions.
Silence.
The same silence she had always run away from.
Her heart started beating fast. She closed her eyes, but her thoughts wouldn't stop.
"Why am I so restless?"
"What do I really want?"
"Why does it feel like something is missing?"
That night, she found no answers.
But something changed.
The next morning, Riya made a strange decision—
she would sit in silence for 10 minutes.
No phone, no music, no talking.
Just her… and her breath.
The first two minutes were very difficult. Her mind kept running—thinking about the past, worrying about the future. But slowly, her breathing became calm.
And then…
She felt a slight sense of peace inside her.
It was new
The next day, she tried again. Then the next day.
10 minutes turned into 15… then 20.
Now silence didn't scare her anymore…
instead, it started to attract her.
One day, while she was sitting with her eyes closed, a thought appeared within her—
"When you turn everything off… that's when I speak."
Riya opened her eyes.
"Who said that?" she whispered.
There was no one in the house.
But her heart felt calm.
For the first time, she realized—
maybe that voice wasn't coming from outside…
it was coming from within.
From that day on, Riya made silence a part of her life.
Now she didn't just sit quietly…
she started to feel.
Sometimes her breath, sometimes her thoughts, sometimes a strange presence.
As if someone was always with her, unseen.
One day, she wrote in her diary:
"Maybe God is not found in noise, but in silence."
Days passed.
Riya was still living the same life—same home, same routine…
but something inside her had changed.
Whenever she felt confused, she no longer ran away.
She simply closed her eyes… and entered silence.
And every time, she found clarity.
Sometimes it came as a simple thought, sometimes as a feeling…
but it was always enough to take the next step.
Once, she was deeply stressed about her future and career.
Her mind was full of confusion.
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath… and sat quietly.
After a few minutes, a thought came to her—
"You won't get all the answers at once… but you will always get the next step."
She opened her eyes… and smiled.
"That's enough," she said softly.
Riya finally understood—
life is not about controlling everything…
sometimes, it's about pausing, listening, and trusting.
She was no longer the girl who searched for herself in noise.
Now she had found herself in silence.
And the most important thing—
she no longer felt alone.
Because she knew—
whenever she is silent… she is never truly alone.
👉Sometimes we search for answers in the world…
but the real answers come when we pause and listen to the voice within—
where God has always been.
