(Guess where the missing "Wedding in Progress Part 4" went?)
In the morning, Shun was awakened by the soft sunlight coming through the window. Last night, he had hurriedly carried Ana to bed, so he had forgotten to draw the curtains, allowing the first rays of morning sunlight to shine directly on them.
Shun gently turned his head, his gaze falling on the sleeping Ana beside him. Yesterday, they had walked into the hall of marriage together and made vows to support each other for a lifetime. He quietly gazed at Ana. Her face still carried a trace of fatigue, the mark left by yesterday's busyness.
Carefully, Shun gently pulled up the blanket and tenderly covered Ana's exposed back. Although with Ana's physical condition she wouldn't catch a cold or anything, she would still feel cold.
After doing this, Shun activated the Cosmic Juggernaut and quietly got out of bed. He drew the curtains in the master bedroom. After confirming that Ana was still sleeping soundly, Shun used the Cosmic Juggernaut again to teleport outside the room.
The moment Shun stepped out the door, he unexpectedly ran into Friedrich. Shun looked energetic and full of spring breeze, while Friedrich had his hand on his waist, looking somewhat exhausted. Their expressions formed a stark contrast.
As if thinking of something, a playful expression appeared on his face. At some point, a few melon seeds had appeared in his hand.
Leaning one hand on Friedrich's shoulder, he asked, "Dad, thinking of opening a small account?"
Friedrich gave Shun a displeased look. Of course he understood the teasing in Shun's tone and knew what "opening a small account" meant.
"It's not that I want to open one." After saying that, he slowly headed to the dining room, planning to make coffee. It seemed his mother-in-law wanted to open a small account.
Shun followed Friedrich into the dining room. Someone was preparing breakfast inside. As expected, it was Elena.
After Shun walked into the dining room, Elena happened to look back. When they saw each other's expressions, a tacit understanding that needed no words seemed to be established at that moment.
Last night, weakling Ana had already been defeated by him in bed. Weakling father-in-law had probably also been conquered by Mother-in-law, that powerful woman.
Sure enough, they were the two strongest people in this family. This was a feeling he had from the first time they met. Now it seemed his initial thought had been correct.
Elena glanced at the clock hand pointing to 11 and said to Shun, "Little Shun, Ana probably hasn't woken up yet. Later, after you finish eating, remember to bring some food up for me and let Ana have it for lunch."
"Mm, okay." Shun agreed and sat down at the dining table, next to Friedrich.
"By the way, Ana's body isn't as good as yours. You should pay more attention," Elena said, as if suddenly remembering how fierce Shun's physical condition was that could knock out a Valkyrie.
"Mm…" Shun ate his meal in silence. Actually, nothing much had happened last night. It was their first time, and Shun hadn't gone overboard or anything. It was simply that they had stayed up too late yesterday and were tired.
"By the way, Mom, when is your flight?" Shun suddenly remembered that Friedrich and Elena had said they planned to return to their hometown in Germany after the wedding.
"What? You want to drive us away already so you and Ana can enjoy your couple time?"
Shun, who had been given such a big hat, almost choked and coughed several times before hurriedly explaining, "No, no. You can stay in the Far East as long as you want. I'm just asking about the time in advance so Ana and I can see you off."
"Tonight," Friedrich said quietly.
"So sudden? Why not stay a little longer?" Actually, Shun still liked the atmosphere of the whole family living together.
This house felt lively with four people living in it. With just two people, it would feel somewhat cold and empty.
"Of course we don't want to disturb your couple's world. St. Freya Academy happens to be on winter break. You and Ana happen to have almost a month to enjoy your honeymoon time to the fullest. Of course we two don't want to disturb you at this time."
Elena explained. If possible, she wouldn't want to be so far from her children so soon either. But she knew that at this time, it was best to let these two children enjoy their sweetest honeymoon period by themselves.
"If you miss us, come home next Oktoberfest and drink with me. I brewed some myself last year," Friedrich appropriately spoke up at this moment.
"Alright. This year's Oktoberfest, Ana and I will come back to see you." After confirming the time, Shun quickly finished his lunch and took the tray upstairs to find Ana.
Shun squatted beside Ana's bed, looking at his wife's peaceful sleeping face, and unconsciously revealed a smile.
This is nice. He gently kissed Ana's forehead, then sat on the floor and read a book he hadn't finished long ago by the bedroom's breathing light.
"Mm…" Ana's cute muffled hum spread out. Shun immediately dropped the book and moved closer.
"Awake?" Shun asked softly. At the same time, he lightly touched the electric curtain switch. The curtains slowly opened, and the soft winter sunlight immediately poured into the room. Through the glass's adjustment, the light became bright but not glaring, adding a touch of warmth and comfort to the room.
"Shun… what time is it now?" Ana's drowsiness hadn't completely left. She was still opening her hazy sleepy eyes and asked Shun weakly.
"It's already noon, so Mom asked me to bring lunch up for you. If you still hadn't woken up after a while, I would have considered waking you with kisses."
"Mm, then let me keep sleeping." Ana laughed once and closed her eyes again.
Shun felt helpless. He knew this was Ana acting spoiled, but this was his own wife. Shun cooperatively leaned down and gently kissed Ana on the lips.
Then he said, "Actually, I already secretly kissed you while you were sleeping."
"That won't do. I have to give it back." Ana had opened her eyes at some point. She hugged Shun's neck and said she was going to take the initiative.
At this moment, the lunch on the plate: "I knew I should have stayed rotten in the pot."
After being affectionate for a good while, Shun finally carried Ana to the bathroom in the bedroom to wash up. After all, he felt sorry for his wife. Ana said she felt uncomfortable getting out of bed, so he had no choice but to carry her the whole time.
"Feed me." After lying back on the bed, Ana opened her mouth and said to Shun.
"Okay, okay, okay. I'll listen to you, I'll listen to you." Shun had originally planned to feed Ana at this time.
Lunch: "I really should have stayed rotten in the pot."
But Shun and Ana didn't care about the lunch's opinion. Newlyweds that they were, their eyes now only had each other.
