Theo's POV
The morning light in our apartment always felt like a small miracle.
I woke up first, Jax's arm draped heavily over my waist, his warm breath tickling the back of my neck. For a few minutes I just lay there, listening to his steady breathing and feeling the solid weight of him behind me.
I turned slowly in his arms so I could face him. His face was relaxed in sleep. I traced a finger along his jaw, smiling when he stirred and pulled me closer without waking up fully.
"Morning already?" he mumbled, voice rough and sleepy.
"Morning," I whispered, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "We have the whole day free. No work. Just us."
Jax's eyes opened, a lazy smile spreading across his face. "Just us sounds perfect."
We stayed in bed for a while longer, trading lazy kisses and gentle touches. The simple joy of being able to touch each other openly, without looking over our shoulders.
