Ichino Takeru, The Special Case, had been imprisoned in one of The Chairman's pocket dimensions for around 2 weeks at this point. After what happened to Katsuragi Kohei, The Chairman determined that it would be too dangerous to keep Takeru operating as a SOMA agent and instead, locked him away using his unique ability. The one that Takeru was locked away in was a duplicate of a comic book store called Animate Tachikawa located in the Tachikawa ward, Tokyo placed in a pocket dimension placed in the real Animate Tachikawa.
Takeru could not leave this pocket dimension and had just stayed there for 2 weeks reading manga trying to get his mind off certain things. Every day, one of SOMA's helpers would come and deliver him food 3 times.
Once again, Takeru sat there reading a random manga called "The God of Lemons" and after reading it for a while, he smiled faintly. "Kaito would love this one. Maybe, he's already reading it." Sometimes, this would happen. His attempts to distract himself would work and he would drift into happy thoughts but sooner or later, reality would hit and that faint smile would disappear as fast as it arrived.
Among the groups of The SOMA Tokyo Team, there was one known to be the most ruthless. Group 1 consisted of Yoshikawa Yoru, Ryuzaki Rin and Sato Shiori.
An alternate was running through the roads of Kamata located in the Ota ward gasping for air and shaking in fear. Suddenly, his body stopped in shock. Yoshikawa Yoru had appeared right before him.
"You... Ho- How did you...? How did you fi- find me!? YOU ACCURSED HUMA-"
"Silence."
With a single swing, the alternate had been turned to paste.
The wards that Group 1 patrolled over were Ota, Meguro, Shinagawa, Minato, Chiyoda and Chuo. Rin and Shiori were currently enjoying tea together at Kamata Café located in Kamata, a lively local district located at the southern part of the Ota ward.
"Ah! You've returned, Yoyo-kun.", Shiori said with a pleasant smile on her face.
"Please stop calling me that, senpai.", Yoru replied as he adjusted his glasses. Rin chuckled. "But it's so cute though, hehe!" Taking the "Yo" from Yoshikawa and the "Yo" from Yoru, you get Yoyo which had become a nickname for the ruthless SOMA agent.
"Stop it."
"I think he's going through his rebellious phase, Rin-chan.", Shiori whispered.
"I'm right here, I can hear you perfectly fine, senpai."
"You're right, Shiori-san! Isn't he adorable?", Rin replied with a smug look on her face.
"..."
Yoru quietly sat down and ordered his tea. Shiori and Rin both started to laugh hysterically. "Don't actually get mad at us, Yoru-kun. We're only goofing around, you know?"
"Yeah, exactly. Learn to lighten up a little, Yoru."
"I have no intention of that."
Rin looked over at Shiori and whispered, "He's being such a tsundere, isn't he?"
"..."
"..."
"I'm not being a tsundere.", Yoru replied in a comically serious tone.
Rin burst into laughter again and said, "You're such a little tsundere!"
Yoru suddenly stood up in frustration. "I do not need to lighten up, Ryuzaki-chan. In fact, it is you who needs to start taking things more seriously."
Shiori got genuinely surprised. "Woah woah woah! Calm down, Yo-"
"And with all due respect, you need to do that as well, senpai. You two didn't even bother coming to the mission I dealt with just now. What if something happened to me or if I made some mistake that cost someone their life?"
"We know you wouldn't mess up, Yoru-kun. You're you after all.", Shiori replied.
Upon hearing that, Yoru did feel happy but he hid it. "I'm frustrated with you two. I'm leaving, I'll ask Chairman-sama to switch my group tomorrow."
"Yoru, stop! Let's talk, you're not thinking straight.", Shiori said trying to change Yoru's mind but he stormed out of the café looking frustrated.
"What a top tier tsundere...", Rin said with a smug look on her face while sipping on her tea.
"This is serious, Rin-chan! Yoyo seems genuinely upset. He might actually switch groups."
"Would Chairman-sama even allow that and besides, you don't have to worry, Shiori-san. He'll come crawling back to us cause he likes us too much, even me! It's just hard for him to admit that sometimes."
"Are you sure, Rin-chan?", Shiori replied with a concerned voice.
"Of course, my beloved senpai! Just sit here and enjoy the tea with me, will you?", Rin replied in a relaxed manner.
"Well... I guess so... and it would be a waste to not drink this tea since we already paid for it and Yoyo is probably too far away already for me to chase after anyway."
"That's the spirit! Let's order some croque monsieur as well!"
Yoru began walking through Kamata all alone lost in thought. He pondered over which group would be the best for him to switch to.
"All the members of Group 2 seem really close so I doubt they would want to switch and as admirable as Kagura-san's strength may be, he's not the type of person I want to be team members with. Group 3... is still missing. I do hope they're okay wherever they are.
Group 4... I shouldn't. They recently lost one of their members and it would be awkward if I tried to replace him. I wouldn't be able to handle that emotional baggage anyway. Group 5... They recently got a new member and I don't know much about him but Ikari-san is really admirable. She's strong, takes responsibility over the care of her teammates and she seems to take being a SOMA agent very seriously but that guy Takahashi-kun seems like he doesn't... Maybe I could switch with him but then again, he and Ikari-san seem really close so they probably won't want to be in separate groups... My best bet is to probably try and switch with the new foreign member but then again, he probably won't agree. He just got into this life and his world has changed completely and just when he was getting used to the life and his team, I ask him to change it up again... Probably won't work...
Wait... Maybe... Just maybe, I can form a new group...One with Ichino Takeru."
