Chapter 118 - Chapter 118 External Combat Instructor

The Principal's office (though Masamichi Yaga was currently only a homeroom teacher, he already enjoyed the privilege of having his own office).

The atmosphere was a bit delicate.

Masamichi Yaga sat behind his desk, holding a document that had just spat out of the fax machine.

It was a background check on Yoru.

"Both parents deceased, raised in the deep mountains since childhood following a reclusive martial artist, only recently descended to enter the secular world..."

Masamichi Yaga read the (system-forged) file aloud, his brow twitching slightly.

"This resume is almost as clean as a blank sheet of paper."

"The people at General Headquarters didn't find any issues, did they?"

Yoru, sitting on the sofa, was leisurely sipping his tea.

"Of course not."

"I really have been training in the deep mountains (meaning the other world) all this time, and I only recently came down."

This was an absolute disguise produced by the system; even Master Tengen couldn't find a flaw.

Masamichi Yaga set the file down, laced his fingers together, and looked at Yoru with piercing eyes.

"Yoru. I've witnessed your strength with my own eyes."

"That kind of pure physical destructive power even surpasses most Grade 1 jujutsu sorcerers."

"However, the regulations of Jujutsu High are strict. Since you have no cursed energy, you cannot become an official sorcerer."

"Therefore, after discussing it with the Principal..."

Masamichi Yaga pulled a letter of appointment from his drawer and pushed it toward Yoru.

"We have decided to hire you as an External Combat Instructor for Tokyo Jujutsu High."

"You will primarily be responsible for strengthening the students' physical training and providing necessary military support during certain special missions."

"Your salary and benefits will be based on the standards of a Grade 1 sorcerer."

"What do you think?"

An External Combat Instructor?

Yoru looked at the appointment letter, a slight smirk playing on his lips. This identity was absolutely perfect.

Not only would he avoid the strict control of General Headquarters like official sorcerers, but he could also stay at Jujutsu High legitimately and intervene in Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto's missions at any time.

He even got paid.

"An incredibly reasonable arrangement."

Yoru signed his name on the appointment letter without hesitation.

"It's a pleasure doing business with you, Mr. Yaga."

"Likewise."

Masamichi Yaga also breathed a sigh of relief.

With this human nuclear bomb around, if those two punks, Satoru and Suguru, dared to act out again, at least there would be someone to keep them in check.

Half an hour later, at the Jujutsu High faculty dormitory area.

Yoru carried his simple luggage (which actually only consisted of a few changes of clothes and that guitar bag) and followed Masamichi Yaga to a small two-story building.

"This is your dormitory."

Masamichi Yaga said, pointing to a room on the second floor.

"Since there are few students at Jujutsu High, the faculty and student dorms are adjacent to each other."

"To your left is Suguru's room, and to your right is Satoru's."

"If anything comes up, you should look out for each other."

Yoru looked at these two familiar doors, feeling amused.

He had been dropped straight into the epicenter of the problem children.

Just then.

With a bang, the door on the right was kicked open.

Satoru Gojo walked out wearing loose pajamas, his white hair a messy nest.

He immediately spotted Yoru, who was about to open his door.

"Huh?"

"What are you doing here?"

"And why do you have keys?"

Satoru Gojo's eyes widened as he pointed at the set of keys in Yoru's hand.

Masamichi Yaga coughed lightly and said with a stern face:

"Satoru, watch your attitude."

"From today onward, Mr. Yoru is the External Combat Instructor for Jujutsu High, primarily responsible for teaching you physical combat."

"From now on, you are to address him as Instructor Yoru."

As soon as those words were spoken, Satoru Gojo instantly bristled.

"What?! Instructor?!"

"Mr. Yaga, do you have a fever?"

"I am the Divine Child of the Gojo family! The future strongest!"

"You want a guy who doesn't even have cursed energy to teach me physical combat? And I have to call him Instructor?"

"On what grounds!"

At that moment, the door on the left also opened.

Suguru Geto leaned out halfway, looking at his bristling best friend with a mischievous grin.

"Satoru, don't be like that."

"Instructor Yoru's Crimson Flash back at the training ground was so fast even you couldn't see the movement."

"Shut up, Suguru!"

Satoru Gojo pointed at Suguru Geto in a huff.

"Whose side are you on anyway?!"

Yoru watched this chaotic daily scene.

He suddenly felt that returning to 2006 might actually be quite interesting.

He turned around and looked at the defiant Satoru Gojo, not putting on any instructor airs.

Instead, he spoke with extreme composure.

"You want to know on what grounds?"

"It's simple."

"Because I'm stronger than you."

Silence.

Even Masamichi Yaga sucked in a breath of cold air as he looked at Yoru in disbelief.

This guy... he really dared to say it!

In this world, aside from Suguru Geto who could barely fight Satoru Gojo to a draw, no one had ever dared to say 'I'm stronger than you' to Satoru's face!

Sure enough, Satoru Gojo's expression darkened instantly.

Within those azure Six Eyes, a highly aggressive light erupted.

"You're stronger than me?"

Satoru Gojo suddenly laughed—a cold, arrogant sound.

"Hahahaha..."

"Fine!"

"Since you're so confident, let's head to the training ground and practice right now!"

"I want to see exactly how many of my Blues you can take, you 'Instructor' without any cursed energy!"

Satoru Gojo moved to grab Yoru as he spoke.

But Yoru lightly stepped aside, avoiding his hand.

"Not today."

Yoru pointed at the night sky and yawned.

"It's late. I need my rest."

"Besides, a true powerhouse doesn't lose their cool over a couple of provocations."

Yoru glanced at Suguru Geto, who was watching the show, a slight smile forming.

"If you really want to challenge me, see me tomorrow morning."

"But I have one condition."

Satoru Gojo raised an eyebrow. "What condition?"

"You and Suguru Geto. Both of you, together."

Yoru's tone was as casual as if he were saying 'I'm having buns for breakfast tomorrow.'

"If you win, I'll pack my bags and leave immediately. If you lose..."

"From then on, you will behave and follow my instructions in physical combat class."

"Do you dare to bet?"

As soon as he said that.

Not just Satoru Gojo, but even Suguru Geto's eyes changed.

Arrogant!

Far too arrogant!

Taking on both of them alone? And without using cursed energy?

"Fine!"

Satoru Gojo agreed through gritted teeth.

"You asked for it!"

"Suguru, let's beat him up together tomorrow morning! I'll show him exactly what for!"

Suguru Geto smiled slightly, his eyes burning with fighting spirit.

"My pleasure."

Looking at these two teenagers whose fighting spirits had been thoroughly ignited, Yoru nodded with satisfaction.

"This is how youth is supposed to look."

"Then I'll see you tomorrow."

Yoru waved with a smile and pushed his door open to go inside.

Outside, the faint sound of Satoru Gojo whispering to Suguru Geto could still be heard.

"Suguru, in tomorrow's combat practice, I'm going to use my secret weapon to crush him! In that field, I'm invincible!"

"Are you serious, Satoru? Mr. Yaga will be furious..."

Masamichi Yaga stood not far away, watching this scene with a wave of emotion.

Perhaps this young man named Yoru really could change these two problem children.

Late at night, everything was silent.

Yoru lay on his dorm bed, but he wasn't asleep.

He maintained Total Concentration: Constant, feeling the surging power within his young body.

Suddenly, his eyes snapped open.

'Transparent World!'

His vision pierced through walls and trees, reaching the edge of the barrier surrounding Jujutsu High.

In that direction.

There was an extremely subtle yet malicious gaze spying on Jujutsu High from the shadows!

'Is it Master Tengen?'

Yoru frowned slightly.

No.

Though Master Tengen had been hiding away in the Tombs of the Star Corridor, their aura wasn't this cold.

This feeling was more like a poisonous snake lurking in the sewers.

'Kenjaku... or is it that man?'

In Yoru's mind flashed the image of a wild man with a scar on his lip and eyes like a beast.

The Sorcerer Killer, Toji Fushiguro!

"It seems a storm is brewing."

Yoru clenched his fist, his knuckles letting out a crisp crack.

"No matter who you are."

"If you dare to destroy this peace..."

"My blade will surely sever your head!"

That night.

Undercurrents surged.

And the combat practice tomorrow morning was destined to completely overturn the common knowledge of the entire jujutsu world!
