Chapter 30 - Chapter 030: The Self-Proclaimed Sister Of The Sage Merlin

Leaving the cold, dark warehouse behind, they returned to the warm, brightly lit living room.

Taiga Fujimura had already gone to sleep, leaving only Shirou and the mysterious silver-haired beauty in the spacious room.

"Hehe, so this is where Master lives…"

The unnamed Servant sat seiza on the tatami, her gem-like eyes sparkling as she looked around with clear excitement.

"Here's some tea."

Shirou stepped into the room, set a steaming cup of green tea in front of her, then returned to his seat.

"Mm, it's good."

She took a sip, then revealed a smile so radiant it could entrance any living being.

"Hehe, thanks to Master, I've calmed down a bit.

But I really was surprised. I didn't expect the one who summoned me to be such a cute little brother~

Big sister's feeling very motivated now~ So, can you tell me your name?"

"Shirou."

"Shirou… can I call you Shirou-kun?"

Shirou replied flatly, "Just keep calling me Master."

The silver-haired beauty pressed a finger lightly to her lips and smiled.

"Looks like I haven't earned my Master's trust yet."

Shirou didn't respond directly.

"Sorry, but could you tell me your True Name as well?

It's a bit embarrassing to admit, but I still can't determine your Class or your parameters."

Normally, when a Master and Servant face each other, some level of information should be accessible.

Things like parameter ranks such as Strength and Endurance, as well as Personal Skills.

A Master needs to understand their Servant's capabilities in order to plan strategies and respond to the flow of battle.

But Shirou couldn't see anything.

Her status did appear in his mind, yet everything, from her six parameters to her Personal Skills, was shrouded in fog.

And it wasn't just his authority as a Master that had failed. Even the "Mystic Eyes of the End" showed no effect.

This was the first time something like this had happened. Shirou couldn't extract a single useful piece of information from her.

His gaze drifted across her long, elegant legs, her slender waist, her full chest, before finally settling on her breathtaking face.

"…Would it be more appropriate to call you a Caster?"

The mysterious woman smiled gently.

"My Class isn't Caster, nor am I one of the Seven Knights. It would be more accurate to say… hmm, you can call it an Extra."

Extra… an additional Class?

Shirou was stunned.

Hey! Makiri! You never told me about something like this!

Saber, a powerhouse with overwhelming Magic Resistance.

Lancer, a warrior known for agility and resilience.

Archer, specialists in long-range combat and Noble Phantasms.

Over the past few days, Shirou had been cramming everything he could about the Seven Classes.

After all that, you're telling me there's an Extra Class too!?

"What are the characteristics of the Extra Class?" Shirou asked.

The mysterious woman explained, "Extra isn't a single Class. It's more like a general category that stands alongside the Seven Classes. Do you follow?"

Shirou blinked in surprise.

"So that means Extra is divided into multiple Classes as well?"

She nodded seriously.

"Master, you catch on quickly. That really helps.

That's right. Extra is further divided into many types. As for me…"

She paused briefly, then smiled.

"I belong to the type that specializes in concealing my True Name and abilities.

If Assassin hides their presence on a physical level, then my Class hides things on the level of Magecraft.

Not only enemies, but even my own Master can't grasp my information."

"Oh, I get it!"

Shirou nodded, as if everything had suddenly clicked, and said happily,

"No wonder I couldn't see any of your stats at all! So that's how it works!"

Wow! She really is a kind and beautiful big sister!

Shirou thought to himself, delighted. Being able to summon such a gentle Servant really is great—though it would be even better if she lied a little less.

The silver-haired beauty continued,

"So, just like Assassin and Caster, I'm not the type suited for direct combat.

To be honest, there's really nothing to expect from my current combat ability. I'm sorry about that, and I hope you can understand."

Shirou quickly shook his head.

"No, no. The strong have their way of fighting, and the weak have theirs. In war, there's no such thing as absolute strength or weakness."

He firmly believed that with the right tactics, even a frail human could defeat a powerful fairy.

"Master said something quite impressive, hehe… Alright, now for the important part."

The mysterious woman nodded in satisfaction, then cleared her throat in an exaggerated manner.

"Although it's part of my nature as a Servant, if I hide everything from Master, it'll be hard for me to earn your trust.

And you wouldn't want to entrust your back to a suspicious stranger, would you?"

"Well…" Shirou nodded.

"So, I'll reveal my True Name."

"Oh!"

Shirou straightened up immediately.

He hadn't forgotten that the catalyst he used for the Summoning was the "Round Table."

That meant the woman before him had to be connected to the Knights of the Round Table.

Which knight could she be? It was surprisingly hard to guess.

Although his "Fae Round Table" also had its share of peerless beauties like her, there weren't really any Magus-type Knights of the Round Table… wait, actually, there might be one.

The mysterious woman spoke.

"Master, do you know Merlin, the court Magus of Camelot?"

Shirou's eyes widened as he nodded repeatedly.

Anyone familiar with the legend of King Arthur would know Merlin, the Magus of Flowers.

The court Magus of Britain, King Arthur's mentor and prophet.

Even before Arthur was born, he had already foretold the conflict between the Red Dragon and the White Dragon.

After Arthur's birth, he became the great teacher who imparted knowledge and guided him on the path of kingship.

But… wasn't Merlin supposed to be male?

Then again, for a legendary sage, changing one's gender wouldn't be that strange. Best to just generously overlook such an eccentric quirk.

Shirou's eyes lit up, and he swallowed nervously.

"You… no… could it be… are you Merlin-sama?"

The mysterious woman puffed out her chest proudly.

"I'm his little sister."

Shirou: "..."

The female Magus placed a slender finger against her chest, looking utterly pleased with herself.

"That's right, I am the younger sister of the legendary great Magus Merlin.

You may call me Lady Avalon, the flower Magus from paradise… huh? Master's gaze suddenly went cold! The sparkle's gone too!

Wah, what a drastic change! What happened!? Master! Get a hold of yourself, Master!!!"

Shirou lowered his head in despair.

How did I end up summoning some random roadside Servant…
