I froze.
My hand stopped moving, and my heart start beating faster.
Slowly.... I turned around.
But there was no one.
The room was empty.
Just me... And the silence.
I late out a nervous breath and Shook my head.
" I am just over thinking", I whispered to myself.
Trying to ignore the strange feeling, I looked back at my diary.
And that's when I noticed it.
There was something new on the page.
Something I didn't write.
My breath got stuck in my throat.
Right below my last line-
"How did you forget me so easily".
There was another line written in different handwriting.
My fingers started trembling as I read it.
"I didn't forget you"
I stared at does words ,unable to move.
This was not possible.
I clearly remember writing alone.
no one came into my room.
Then who...?
My heart founded loudly in my chest.
With second hands, I touched the ink.
It was fresh.
Age if it had just been written.
Tears filled my eyes ,but fear slowly took over.
Because only one person used to write like that.
Only one person made his "t" slightly titled.
Only one person.
Him.
I quickly grabbed my phone and checked his chat.
Still the same.
Last message: "Take care".
No new text.
No sign of him.
I slowly looked back at the diary.
My mind was screaming that this was not real.
But my heart....
My heart already knew.
Suddenly the lights in my room flickered.
Once.
Twice.
And then-
My phone vibrates in my hand.
A new message
From him
My eyes widened as I opened it.
The screen felt have in my hands.
And then I read-
"I told you... I never left"
