Chapter 5 - Tianzun's past Chapter 5: Bonds, Promises, and Growth

The next morning—

The house felt different.

Warmer.

Livelier.

Inside the parlour—

Tianzun sat comfortably on the sofa, surrounded by the other children. Laughter filled the air as they chatted freely, their earlier awkwardness completely gone.

They were… hitting it off.

Well—

Almost all of them.

Mo Rongyan was nowhere to be seen.

And honestly—

No one seemed to care.

Even the usually quiet "glasses duo" were present, joining in the conversation. Compared to their older sister, Tianzun was simply… more fun to be around.

Mo Li leaned forward excitedly.

"So—what do you like?"

"What games do you play?"

"Where have you been before?"

His eyes sparkled with curiosity.

Tianzun paused for a moment, then answered honestly.

"I've been to Disneyland… in the States."

"I celebrated my birthday in the Maldives…"

"And a few other places…"

His tone was calm.

"And a few other places…"

His tone was calm.

Casual.

As if it was all normal.

Silence.

The kids stared at him.

Wide-eyed.

Before they could respond—

A voice cut in.

"Well, of course."

Mo Beihan walked into the room, interrupting them.

"For someone whose family owns hundreds of cars, thousands of properties, and tens of jets and helicopters…"

"…and whose main source of wealth is technology…"

He smiled lightly.

"It's only natural he's been to places you've never even heard of."

The atmosphere shifted slightly.

Then—

He turned to Tianzun.

"Hello," he said. "My name is Mo Beihan."

"I'm your uncle."

"You can call me Uncle Han."

His eyes slanted while introduction it gave tianzun chills running down his spine every sense of being telling him he was evil and has blood on his hand.

He was dressed casually—black jeans and a blue T-shirt—but his presence still carried weight.

And he asked are you in the police and he answered you want to know nice try but am a doctor an anatomists to be specified he replied while smiling

But his smile creeps tianzun out.

So he asked what are you telling my children

Tianzun understanding the meaning behind

''No'', he said his voice turn into a whisper as his face flushed red like a tomato clearly embarrassed

"I'm not boasting!" he said quickly.

"I was only answering what they asked… so we can understand each other better."

Mo Beihan blinked.

Surprised.

The child…

Had understood the hidden meaning behind his words.

How sharp…

"How smart is this kid…?" he thought.

But outwardly, he simply smiled.

"Alright then."

"I'll be off. See you all later."

And just like that—

He left.

The children resumed their conversation.

Mo Li's eyes shone even brighter now.

"I want to go to those places!"

Tianzun smiled slightly.

"Don't worry."

"Leave it to me."

"I'll ask my aunt to contact my dad's managing director."

"He'll help us go there."

Tch.

A faint sound echoed.

A tongue clicking.

"If you're not boasting… what do you call that?"

Mo Rongyan's voice.

She had appeared.

Leaning casually nearby.

Tianzun looked at her.

His expression—

Unbothered.

Almost lazy.

Then he replied calmly—

"Don't worry."

"We'll go someday."

"…But you won't be coming with us."

Silence.

The mood shifted instantly.

Mo Li—

Was thrilled.

But the others…

Hesitated.

"…Sorry," they said slowly. "We can't go if she isn't coming."

Tianzun nodded.

"Okay."

Then he turned to Mo Li.

"What about you?"

Mo Li didn't hesitate.

"I'll go."

That answer—

Made Tianzun genuinely happy.

Without thinking—

He hugged Mo Li tightly.

From that day onward—

The two became inseparable.

Best friends.

Time passed.

A month went by quickly.

Tianzun grew closer—

Not only to Mo Li—

But also to his grandfather, Mo Yuwen.

Life began to settle.

Things felt… normal.

He started school.

And by coincidence—

He was placed in the same class as Mo Li.

The two spent their days together—

Studying.

Playing.

Laughing.

Even arguing sometimes.

But always together.

Occasionally—

Discussions about Tianzun would resurface among the adults.

Plans.

Intentions.

Concerns.

But those talks never lasted long.

Because—

Tianzun already knew.

At one point—

He took his aunt's phone.

And called his father's managing director.

Calmly.

Clearly.

He explained everything.

The situation.

The problems.

What needed to be fixed.

And within days—

Everything was resolved.

Even the temple—

Was not left behind.

People came to check on him regularly.

To ensure his well-being.

To understand his needs.

And Tianzun—

Did not hesitate.

He voiced everything.

Every concern.

Every idea.

Every demand.

And they listened.

Work began immediately.

Day after day.

Month after month.

Everything he asked for—

Was fulfilled.

One year passed.

So much had changed.

So many events had unfolded.

Including—

The promise he made to Mo Li.

During summer—

The two of them traveled together.

Visited places.

Experienced the world.

Just like Tianzun had promised.

And yet—

Despite everything—

Tianzun remained exceptional.

His grades—

Excellent.

His performance in sports—

Outstanding.

His discipline—

Unmatched.

Without even trying—

But beneath that perfection…

Something was quietly growing.

Something deeper.

Something that had begun—

The day he will he lose everything.

And it was only the beginning of tumultuous journey.
