Chapter 307 - Secret Military Alliance

"Could it be the Takumi Village's secret top-tier forging techniques or rare materials? Or maybe I'll discover some incredibly powerful and cleverly designed special tools? Or perhaps meet some interesting people?"

With that curiosity in mind, two hours later, in front of Konoha's village gates…

"Everyone's here? Good!"

"Move out! Destination, the Land of Takumi, the Takumi Village!"

After more than half a year of experiencing the baptism of war and separation, Team 10 had finally reunited and embarked on their long-awaited mission.

At the same time, in the Land of Takumi, Takumi Village.

Inside a secret chamber, Seimei slowly opened his eyes.

Just now, the strange throbbing sensation in his heart had also grown increasingly intense.

He could not delay any longer! Tonight was the night!

He suddenly stood up, pushed open the door to the secret chamber, and coldly ordered a trusted subordinate waiting outside.

"Contact our people immediately! Notify all companions who support the new path to gather here at midnight tonight!"

"Yes! Seimei-sama!" Fanaticism flashed through the subordinate's eyes as he responded in a low voice before quickly vanishing.

After finishing everything, Seimei closed the door again, turned around, and walked deeper into the chamber. His gaze landed upon a specially made weapon rack in the center of the room.

There, four tools of different forms were quietly displayed.

These were the four great tools he had secretly forged over nearly ten years, combining the Takumi Village's hidden technique with his own genius ideas.

A strangely shaped long blade, entirely deep azure blue in color. The blade was a bizarre trident-like structure, filled with eerie beauty and reflecting ghostly blue light in the dim room.

Dark Sword!

This blade could freely extend and contract like a living creature, changing its length at will, and could even transform into a chakra dragon.

A strange weapon that looked like two swords skillfully fused together, its overall appearance luxurious and elegant, with a jade-green jewel embedded at the end of the hilt.

Weaknessless Soaring Shortswords!

This was an extremely special pair of twin swords. Not only did it possess both single-sword and dual-sword combat forms, but it could also reduce the consumption of wind nature chakra while greatly enhancing the power of Wind Style Jutsus.

A massive black greatsword with an ancient and heavy appearance.

Fire Sword!

The effects of this blade were similar to the Weaknessless Soaring Shortswords, except it specialized in Fire Style. While reducing the consumption of fire nature chakra, it also made Fire Style Jutsus far more violent and exponentially more powerful.

Finally, there was a set of blue armor that looked simple, even somewhat plain in appearance.

Infinite Armour!

The miraculous aspect of this armor was not only its ability to effectively absorb and disperse physical impacts, reducing injuries suffered by the wearer, but its core ability could also absorb the chakra of other people and Ninjutsu to a certain degree!

This was the foundation of his confidence in launching the coup and purging the village's internal factions!

And even more so, it was the confidence he needed to one day lead the Takumi Village in breaking free from its shackles and speaking to the Five Great Shinobi Countries as equals!

...

At the same time, Team 10 of Konoha was setting out toward the Land of Takumi, and Seimei was planning his coup. At the other side, in the Village Hidden in the Sand, Kazekage's office.

The fourth Kazekage, Rasa, also received an invitation letter sent by the Village Hidden in the Mist through a special channel.

Village Hidden in the Mist proposed forming a secret military alliance with the Village Hidden in the Sand against Konoha.

They invited the Village Hidden in the Sand to launch a simultaneous attack on the Land of Fire together with them, advancing from east and west to besiege Konoha, and, after the war, to jointly divide the fertile land and the enormous wealth of the Land of Fire.

The letter concluded that if Village Hidden in the Sand was interested, they could send a secret envoy to Village Hidden in the Mist for further discussion, or Village Hidden in the Mist could send representatives to secretly visit the Village Hidden in the Sand to jointly discuss detailed operational plans and schedules.

To Rasa, this invitation letter was nothing less than timely rain.

His original plan had been to use the past half year of recuperation and replenishment to launch a decisive offensive against Konoha while the Village Hidden in the Cloud and Konoha were locked in a fierce battle on the northeastern front, greatly tying down Konoha's military forces.

He intended to completely break the stalemate at Kikyo Pass in one stroke, directly push the front lines into the Land of Fire, seize tangible benefits, reverse the Village Hidden in the Sand's declining position since the start of the war, and secure more favorable bargaining chips for future negotiations.

However, the development of the situation had far exceeded Rasa's expectations.

Not only had Village Hidden in the Cloud failed to heavily damage or restrain Konoha's main forces as expected, but they instead suffered a crushing defeat on the northeastern front. Their logistics and medical systems suffered devastating blows, and their losses were even worse than those of the Village Hidden in the Sand.

Immediately afterward, the Village Hidden in the Stones suddenly declared war on the Village Hidden in the Cloud, completely dragging most of the Village Hidden in the Cloud's strength into the north.

This meant that the pressure on Konoha's northeastern front had drastically decreased, and a large number of Konoha elites who had originally been tied down by the Village Hidden in the Cloud would likely be reassigned to reinforce other fronts, including the southwestern battlefield!

As a result, the Village Hidden in the Sand's position became extremely awkward and passive.

If they followed the original plan and launched a major offensive against Konoha alone, they would very likely crash headfirst into the elite Konoha forces that had now freed themselves up, once again falling into a hard-fought battle with uncertain victory, or perhaps even suffering losses more devastating than before.

This was absolutely unacceptable to Rasa.

The Village Hidden in the Sand's overall strength had never matched Konoha's. That was an undeniable fact. The reason they had dared to proactively start the war was precisely that they had calculated that Konoha was trapped in a four-front war situation, forced to deal with multiple potential threats simultaneously, and therefore unable to focus all its strength against the Village Hidden in the Sand.

Once that premise was shaken, the Village Hidden in the Sand's offensive would very likely smash itself bloody against the wall.

But now, the Village Hidden in the Mist's invitation was like a ray of dawn breaking through the darkness.

"So even the Village Hidden in the Mist can no longer hold back and is preparing to officially enter the fray?" Rasa muttered softly to himself, his mind operating at high speed as he simulated every possible outcome.

If the Village Hidden in the Sand and Village Hidden in the Mist could reach a tacit understanding, advancing from east and west simultaneously and launching attacks against Konoha at the same time, then Konoha would truly fall into the most severe two-front war situation since the war began!

No, perhaps even pressure from three or four fronts. Konoha would still have to remain wary of possible developments from the Village Hidden in the Stones and the Village Hidden in the Cloud in the northeast and northwest.
