"Mr. Kizaru, what exactly does this trial involve?" Sasuke finally couldn't contain his curiosity and asked.
"A powerhouse no weaker than me will provide you with one-on-one special training," Roy said slowly.
Hearing this, Sasuke felt a surge of uncontrollable joy welling up inside him.
He knew well that Roy's strength was unfathomable, and a mentor who could stand shoulder to shoulder with such a level of powerhouse would undoubtedly be a crucial asset on his path to the pinnacle.
At that moment, it was as if he could already see his future of soaring strength, the flame of revenge burning even more fiercely in his heart.
Roy quickly led Uchiha Sasuke through a series of hallways, finally stopping before a tightly closed door.
The soldier standing at the door immediately straightened up and saluted as Roy approached.
"Is Vice Admiral Garp inside?"
"Yes," the soldier replied succinctly.
Roy nodded to the soldier in acknowledgment, then led Sasuke into the room.
Sasuke's heart was pounding with excitement. He imagined the formidable figure he was about to meet—perhaps a powerhouse with sharp eyes and an imposing aura, sitting upright in the center of the room, waiting for his arrival.
However, reality was drastically different from his fantasy.
Inside the room, a short-haired giant old man sat comfortably in a large chair, snoring loudly, a smile on his face, with even a glistening snot bubble hanging from his nose, looking utterly comical.
This scene shattered Sasuke's expectations in an instant, his eyes widening in disbelief.
"Vice Admiral Garp, I've brought him," Roy said with a hint of resignation, calling out several times to rouse Garp from his slumber.
After a bit of commotion, Garp finally opened his eyes slowly, still groggy, casually wiping the drool from the corner of his mouth with his hand and picking his nose, looking utterly unconcerned.
This casual, unpretentious demeanor was a far cry from the image of a lofty master that Sasuke had imagined.
But just then, Sasuke suddenly felt an indescribable pressure, as if an invisible mountain were pressing down on his heart, making it difficult to breathe.
He instinctively tried to sense Garp's presence, only to be left utterly stunned.
Despite Garp's seemingly easygoing nature, his body housed astonishing power—an aura as deep as the ocean and as majestic as a mountain—that left Sasuke feeling an unprecedented sense of awe.
He finally understood that this elderly man before him, though rough and unrestrained in appearance, was in truth a hidden, unparalleled master.
"Ahahaha, so it's this kid?" Garp finally shook off his brief stupor, laughing heartily as he looked at Sasuke standing before him, his eyes seemingly capable of peering into the secrets of one's heart.
"Yes," Roy nodded.
"Please guide me well, Mr. Garp," Sasuke said, immediately stepping forward and bowing deeply.
Garp carefully observed Sasuke before him, his gaze gradually sharpening.
In Sasuke, he did sense a strange aura, but Garp didn't pay it much heed.
After all, in this vast and boundless world, there were countless bizarre and wondrous things.
"Ahahaha, I've taught quite a few outstanding disciples in my life!"
Garp let out a booming laugh, looking at the curious Sasuke, feeling an urge to boast about his teaching abilities.
"Dra— Dragon, Ace, and Luffy..." Garp started to name some of his former prized pupils but awkwardly stopped mid-sentence.
Dragon was now seen as the biggest rebel by the World Government, while Ace and Luffy were pirates, blemishes he was ashamed to mention.
"Ahahaha, there is one disciple of mine who became a Navy Admiral, Aokiji!"
Fortunately, Garp remembered Aokiji in time, boasting loudly as he tried to use this exemplary member of the Navy to prove his teaching prowess.
Hearing this, Sasuke's eyes lit up with excitement.
An Admiral, a powerhouse on par with Roy!
His heart filled with even more respect and anticipation for Garp.
"You can't judge a book by its cover; perhaps this seemingly rough old man truly is a renowned master," Sasuke thought to himself, feeling eager for the upcoming training.
After a brief exchange among the three, Roy signaled for Garp to take Sasuke to the training ground.
Watching their receding figures, Roy couldn't help but smile inwardly.
Despite Garp's immense strength, he could sometimes be unreliable, often acting on a whim.
"I hope Sasuke survives under Garp's tutelage."
