"Kagome! Are you alright? Are you hurt? Where are the Thunder Beast Brothers?"

Inuyasha's figure rushed over quickly, his face full of urgency, with a panting Shippō following behind him.

"Yeah, yeah, Kagome!" Shippō ran to her side, his face full of guilt. "I'm sorry, I was too scared just now and ran away leaving you behind..." Saying that, he came before Kagome and knelt on the ground with his hands flat, a standard dogeza, apologizing sincerely.

"I'm fine. Luckily I ran into Retsu, and he saved me," Kagome said with a smile to comfort them. Seeing Inuyasha and Shippō, she felt a sense of relief; being with Retsu earlier had made her feel constantly tense.

She remembered the fox pelt in her hand and quickly handed it to Shippō. "Right, Shippō, this should belong to your father. Here."

"This is... Father..."

Shippō looked at the familiar yellow fox pelt, his eyes instantly turning red. He carefully took it and held it in his arms, tears welling up in his eyes as his voice choked. "Thank you, Kagome... Thank you..."

"Retsu? Who's that?" Inuyasha frowned, having no memory of the name.

Myoga, perched on his shoulder, immediately added a cutting remark: "Master Inuyasha, that's the man who beat you so badly last time that you couldn't even fight back!"

"Dammit! It's that bastard!" Inuyasha instantly bristled, clenching his fists and looking around. "Where is he? I want to fight him again!"

"He's already gone," Kagome said helplessly. "And I think he's a good person. Not only did he save me, but he also gave me a portion of the Thunder Beast Brothers' shards of the shikon jewel." As she spoke, she opened her palm, where three crystalline shards of the shikon jewel shimmered in the sunlight.

"I don't care who he is, stay away from him in the future!" Inuyasha said angrily, though he felt inexplicably annoyed deep down.

"Inuyasha, you couldn't be jealous, could you?" Kagome suddenly leaned in close to him, a sly smile playing on the corners of her mouth.

"Who—who's jealous!" Inuyasha paused, then said dismissively, "I would never be jealous over an ugly woman like you!"

"Inuyasha!! Sit boy!"

Kagome's roar instantly echoed through the courtyard, and with a loud 'boom,' Inuyasha slammed heavily into the ground.

Meanwhile, Retsu had already arrived at a deserted clearing.

He released the unconscious Thunder Beast Brothers from the Kamui Dimension. The two remained unconscious, slumped on the ground.

Retsu walked over to them and carefully searched for loot, only to find that both were penniless. Aside from Hiten's weapon, he found nothing of value.

"Tch, paupers!" Annoyed, he kicked the two aside and began to examine the two weapons he had obtained... or should they be called magical treasures?

After some study, Retsu found to his disappointment that whether it was the thing like a Wind-Fire Wheel or the weapon called the thunder strike blade, they seemed usable only by the Thunder Beast Clan.

He tried testing them with Chakra, but there was no special effect; they were just slightly harder weapons.

Furthermore, as a Ninja, aside from Uchiha Swordsmanship, he was not skilled with polearms like the thunder strike blade.

"What a waste, they're useless to me. I'll put them away for now." Retsu tossed the two weapons into the Kamui Dimension.

In Inuyasha's world, a demon's strength is often tied to their weapons and magical treasures. Just like Inuyasha, the difference in combat power with and without the tessaiga is like heaven and earth.

"Alright, these two are of no more use." He took out a Sealing Scroll from the Kamui Dimension and spread it out before them. "Finally, contribute your life force."

"Seal!"

With a low shout, the scroll erupted with powerful suction. The bodies of the Thunder Beast Brothers withered at a visible rate, eventually turning into two sets of dry bones.

Retsu put away the scroll, feeling the abundant life force within, a satisfied curve appearing on his lips.

He turned and left the clearing, his figure quickly vanishing into the dense forest.

---

"So boring..."

Retsu lay on the branch of a towering tree, a yellowed book covering his chest, staring listlessly at the cloudless blue sky.

Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, casting mottled shadows on his pale, cracked skin.

Several days had passed since he killed the Thunder Beast Brothers.

During this time, he had used the shards of the shikon jewel in his ninja tool pouch as 'bait' to kill many demons that came sniffing around.

As a result, the minor demons in the vicinity had either been wiped out or had heard the news and no longer dared to approach his range of activity.

This, in turn, left him completely idle, and even his goal of collecting life force had temporarily stalled.

"I need to find something to do. I'll go wander around a human Castle Town."

He raised his hand and stored the book into the Kamui Dimension. This book was loot he had scavenged after knocking out a blind Demon Slayer who had mistaken him for a demon and attacked him; it recorded information on many common demons in this world.

Fortunately, the writing in this world was Sengoku-era Japanese, which was very similar to the language and writing of the Naruto World. He could read it without any obstacles, and flipping through it when bored helped him understand more of this world's common knowledge.

Standing up, Retsu scanned the surroundings from his high vantage point and soon spotted a human Village at the foot of a nearby mountain.

"I'll go there and ask where the nearest Castle Town is."

Chakra gathered at the soles of his feet. He leaped from the treetop like a falling leaf, and with Chakra condensed beneath him, his figure darted through the forest, quickly reaching the edge of the Village.

To avoid unnecessary trouble, he used the Transformation Jutsu to turn into a wandering samurai wearing worn-out samurai robes with a katana at his waist, then strode into the Village.

"Did you hear? Kumakichi's house was robbed yesterday too."

Just as he was walking on the dirt road of the Village, preparing to stop two villagers carrying farm tools to ask for directions, Retsu overheard their conversation and couldn't help but pause.

"Sigh, that's the fifth house!" The other villager sighed, his voice full of resentment. "That thief is too hateful, stealing every bit of grain in the house. How are we supposed to survive?"

"May I ask what exactly is going on?"

Retsu became interested. Since he was idle anyway, catching a thief to relieve his boredom seemed like a good idea. He stepped forward and asked the two.

"Ah! Lord Samurai!"

The two caught a glimpse of the katana at his waist, and their faces immediately showed expressions of awe and respect as they hurried to stop.

One of them bowed and said, "It's not a big deal, it's just that a thief has come to the Village recently, and houses are always being visited."

"Tell me in detail." Retsu's gaze swept over their faces, his tone flat but carrying an unquestionable authority.
