Chapter 120 - Chapter 120: Titans Rampant

Inside Abaddon's temporary flagship.

A Thousand Sons Sorcerer clad in mysterious blue power armor gazed at Abaddon.

As the Warmaster of Chaos, the Chaos Traitors under Abaddon's command were inherently composed of traitorous Warbands from various Chaos factions.

The Thousand Sons Sorcerer before him now was clearly acting under the direct orders of Tzeentch.

However, unlike the absolute obedience other Chaos Warbands showed toward their respective deities, Abaddon did not immediately respond after realizing Tzeentch's intentions.

He simply stood there, a look of contemplation in his eyes.

The Thousand Sons Sorcerer silently watched Abaddon. Unlike other Chaos factions, followers of Tzeentch were often surprisingly patient, and when faced with the reactions and actions of those around them, they always acted as if everything were within their grasp and expected.

Although many of their plans often failed, one should never ask why they still failed if Tzeentch knew everything.

Because as soon as you asked, they would shout about some 'Grand Plan,' as if losing were also part of their plan.

The Thousand Sons Sorcerer did not urge Abaddon. After pondering for a while, Abaddon did not immediately execute the order but instead countered with a question:

'What benefit is there for me in doing this?'

He was actually bargaining, yet the Thousand Sons Sorcerer, wearing an expression of 'I knew it would come to this,' simply raised his hand and opened a star map.

Gazing at the flickering light points on the star map, the Thousand Sons Sorcerer spoke:

'Here lies the item you have been searching for. As long as you complete Tzeentch's order, this coordinate will be yours.'

Abaddon's expression froze. Although he had never expected his plan with Vashtorr to truly remain hidden from the Chaos Gods / The Four Gods, having it brought up by Tzeentch now still made him wary.

Taking a serious look at the star map and pondering once more, Abaddon finally straightened up. As he walked toward the bridge, he said:

'Send me the coordinates.'

After arriving at the command station, facing the crew who looked at him, Abaddon's gaze remained fixed on the ground below:

'Stop the evacuation. Deploy landing forces to the surface. After clearing the ground defenses, immediately initiate surface extermination on the planet.'

...

Thundering artillery fire. The entire continental plate trembled, and even within the Forge World fortress located at the North Pole, the shaking of the buildings could still be felt.

In the command center, the high-ranking officials of the Imperial side were constantly formulating operational plans, while the remaining fleet in orbit hid within the protection zone of the ground fire.

Meanwhile, along the space elevator, reinforcements from nearby star systems were continuously pouring in.

Sith stood inside the command center, looking at the outside world through windows and monitors. At one defensive line that caught Sith's attention, the banners of the Astra Militarum had been changed seven times in just two days.

Compared to the defensive battle of humans at the North Pole, the war outside was even more terrifying. Even without looking through monitors, just by gazing into the distance with the naked eye, the entire Ustalii appeared as if it were an apocalypse.

Countless towering, crowded factory clusters filled the horizon, with the backdrop being mushroom clouds of various colors rising one after another from the relentless bombardment by Orks, Chaos, and Tyranids / Tyranid.

Even the Imperial side, desperately defending the North Pole, had been driven into a frenzy, dropping large-yield nuclear bombs on the occupied areas in massive quantities.

This directly resulted in vast swathes of Ustalii's land being blanketed in thick nuclear radiation. Apart from nuclear radiation, there was also Tyranid acid rain, Chaos corruption, and Ork scorching flames.

If one were to ask why they did not choose more powerful and cleaner hydrogen bombs, the Adeptus Mechanicus would reassure you, for the nuclear bombs they deployed not only had the power of hydrogen bombs but also the terrifying radiation of dirty bombs.
