'…Anything? Really?' Doubtful, he decided to check it and searched up a few things he deemed impossible to buy.

His mouth fell wide open once again, '…Damn, that's fucking crazy.' Then he seemed to get an idea,

'There's a chance I can return to Earth! But… why would I return?' His life on Earth was boring, and with this system, life here would never be boring, so he technically didn't have a reason to go back to Earth, 'But it is my home world after all… No, no, no, why am I thinking about this now? I don't even have any SP.' Shaking the thought off his head, he decided to focus on the present. 'A quest, please.' He asked the system.

After a year, he started to walk and talk, seeing this, Eleanor and Leon decided it was time to gift him his spirit egg.
"Ash, take care of it well, alright? Spirit eggs might as well be a lifelong companion for elves." Why can't an elf have two, you ask? It's because most elves only have enough mental strength to bond with one, and only extremely rare geniuses can have two or more.
"Thanks, father." Ash was extremely excited about the new egg that he didn't notice his parents being surprised.
"How did he learn to talk so formally?" Eleanor looked at her husband, confused.
"Don't know, but I guess we should be grateful for such a polite son," Leon said, looking at his excited son affectionately.
"Yes, I agree."
Meanwhile, Asher was oblivious to his parents' reaction and asked the system in his mind, 'System, what's this?'
[It is a spirit egg. Host can use System Points to hatch it.
SP needed to hatch: 100
Available SP: 87]
'…Just a bit more.' Ash thought, 'But the progress is a bit slow.' Yes, after a whole year, he had only managed to gather 87 SP. 'Is there any faster way to gather SP?' He asked the system,
[Bloodline quests can give a huge amount of SP depending on the level.]
'Bloodline quests, huh.' It has been a long time since he paid it any attention. 'Raw blood, raw blood, how am I supposed to get it?' He kept his thoughts fixated on the vampire quest.
For some unknown reason, ever since he first saw it, he was attracted to it more than the others, so he decided to upgrade the elf and vampire bloodline to the max first before any others.
Then he got an idea. Since he could walk now, why not sneak into the kitchen and steal some blood? Of course, he had to be careful not to be found out, else he would be viewed on weirdly by everyone.
That night, when everyone was asleep, Ash quietly crept into the kitchen. Opening what seemed like a 'fridge', he saw only chopped meat inside, all drained of blood. 'I wonder where the raw animals are.'
Finding nothing after searching around for a while, he finally gave up and headed back to sleep.
The next day,
"Father, where does our meat come from?" Ash suddenly asked his father when he was in the middle of work.
"When did you get this good at talking?" Leon was surprised by Ash's skill once again. "Anyways, we have soldiers specialized in hunting our meat. Why?" He asked back.
"Nothing, just curious." Then he suddenly got an idea. "Father, can I have a pet?"
"Don't you already have the spirit egg?"
"But it's not hatching though…" Ash made a disappointed pouting face so cute that the 22-year-old Joshua himself felt so embarrassed.
"Alright, what animal do you want?" Leon conceded to that cute face of his.
"A bunny! I heard they're cute!" Ash said excitedly. A rabbit should have the blood he needed.
"Seriously? You're a boy!" Leon replied jokingly. "Alright, alright, if you pass the test I'll be giving you in a week, I'll get you one."
"What test is it, father?" Ash asked innocently.
"General studies, you can access the library if you want. I'll have someone lead you there."
"Alright, let's go right now!" Ash said as he excitedly ran out of the room.
"…Does he even know how to read?" Leon looked hopelessly at the boy running, then shortly continued doing his work afterward.
As for Asher, he was able to read as an additional function of the system. It was something he realized when his adoptive mother read storybooks together with him. He couldn't understand the words if he just looked at them; however, if he tried to read them, the system would automatically translate them for him. The same thing goes for listening and speaking.
He was led to the library by a servant. And when he arrived there, he took any book he found and read it. The notable information he found was this: In this world, every child, as long as they had enough talent, could enter an academy at the age of 5. There, talent is more important than status, meaning strength is power. The system academies use is grades. Every year, the academies will hold annual examinations to assess whether the students are eligible to pass to the next grade or not. However, with enough funds, one can take the special mid-annual test to undergo acceleration, meaning that in a year's time, a student is able to pass two grades. When students graduate at the age of 15, they can choose to enter the army, with their scores affecting their future position.
