Chapter 98 - The Anambra Outreach

We didn't go back to the office immediately upon returning to Lagos. Instead, Alexandra and I spent the morning at the first shipping hub for the Obinna Foundation.

"The first shipment of medical supplies just cleared customs," Alexandra said, showing me the digital manifest on her tablet. "It's heading straight to the clinic near your mother's house."

"My grandfather would have liked this," I said, watching the trucks roll out. "He always said the 'Master Key' wasn't for opening safes, but for opening doors for others."

As we walked toward our car, a man in a worn-out uniform stepped out from behind one of the containers. I recognized him instantly—it was Officer Tunde, the man who had helped me track the Senator's ghost shipments weeks ago.

"Mr. Obinna," Tunde said, tipping his cap. "I heard you were running things now. I wanted to warn you. Okoro's men didn't just disappear when you fired them. They've moved to the outskirts of the city. They're calling themselves the 'Displaced Board,' and they're looking for a way to freeze your Swiss accounts."

Alexandra stepped forward, her jaw set. "They can't touch those accounts without Xavier's DNA. We made sure of that in Zurich."

"They know that," Tunde whispered. "Which is why they aren't going after the money. They're going after the source. They're looking for the original 365-day contract, Xavier. They want to prove the marriage was a fraud to invalidate your inheritance."

I looked at Alexandra. The secret we had guarded so carefully was under threat again. "They won't find it," I said firmly. "Because that contract doesn't represent us anymore. We are far beyond 365 days."
