Chapter 74 - 74

"Impossible, right? Only Veronica's serum would cause this. Jessica only used a Progenitor Virus variant; how could it boil?" Eddie observed carefully and found that it seemed the vaccine had diluted a portion of the virus in the blood.

"Why not choose to strengthen the T-Virus again, and at the same time enhance brain recovery, allowing her to try and regain her sanity?" A clear, cold voice came, and it was Christine Yamata, who had returned from Europe, a woman who could fly a fighter jet across the Atlantic Ocean! She possessed both the docility of an island nation woman and the fierceness expected of a strong woman.

"That makes sense!" Eddie nodded; it indeed made sense.

Jessica had successfully fused with the Progenitor Virus, but she wasn't as powerful as her daughter, Lisa. To survive for thirty years, she must have had extraordinary qualities; most people would have died in thirty years, yet she was still alive and well. There were too many secrets involved!

Chapter 119: Christine Yamata's Admiration

It's a good idea to strengthen her using the characteristics of her already fused Progenitor Virus. However, it's best not to use parasites; those things will have some side effects, and they're somewhat disgusting, just like the Uroboros Virus. Disgusting things also have very obvious drawbacks.

Eddie suddenly thought of an idea: add some brain-boosting nutrients with a trace amount of vaccine to prevent brain damage.

To solve the intellectual defect, there are currently only two known methods: one is to implant electronic chips and control them with a computer, and the other is to use Alpha Parasites to enhance brain intelligence. Neither of these methods met Eddie's requirements.

What Eddie needed was not to create a weapon, but to decipher the Progenitor Virus's mutation through experiments and ultimately find a way to enhance the power of his own serum. In this regard, he was different from the insane researchers at Umbrella.

"Karena told you?" Eddie suddenly turned and asked. Christine Yamata, without a gas mask, was indeed a beauty, possessing both the tall stature and fair skin of a European and the docility of an island nation person.

"Boss, she already told me. I am willing to pay any price." Christine Yamata didn't need any persuasion, nor was it due to any overwhelming charisma. She had witnessed Eddie's ideas in Europe and understood this man's ambition. Why not join while the sails were being set? Joining now would also secure a good position.

"All right, but you'll be third. We still need to go one by one. If you're tired, rest first. You just got back, and flying is very tiring. Once you're well-rested, I'll need your help. Get some good rest; this work requires a high degree of mental concentration, and you're not suitable right now." Eddie nodded.

"Understood, Boss, I'm leaving." Christine Yamata bowed respectfully, retreated three steps slowly before turning, fulfilling all the necessary etiquette. It was very polite and made people feel comfortable.

To cure Lisa, Jessica must first be cured, which was very difficult for Eddie.

For several days, Eddie stayed in the villa in the Arklay Mountains. SPECTRE, who had defected to Alex, was reporting to the butler Stewart, and Stewart was then passing the intelligence to Spencer.

Therefore, Spencer did not suspect Eddie's motives. Instead, he smiled knowingly about the fact that Eddie had taken several women to the villa. A man with several women, going to a villa to play, clearly indicated something improper.

In fact, Eddie had been doing research all along. He knew that most people would think this way, so he dug a pit for Spencer to fall into.

After all, Spencer trusted Alex greatly and would never have imagined that Alex had betrayed him long ago, and after Eddie sent her the specially modified serum, her trust reached its peak.

Alex understood that Eddie would not harm her; harming her would bring Eddie no benefit. Even under this premise, Alex still used the serum. She herself was a very talented researcher, and she knew clearly whether the serum had problems or was effective.

No one bothered him, and Umbrella's people wouldn't be so blind as to cause him trouble. The experiment progressed smoothly, but the medical process for Jessica was still somewhat slow.

As the cold air began to fill the entire laboratory, Rebecca stepped out of the freezing chamber. She felt very hungry, but also felt her body full of strength. "Eddie, I'm so hungry!"

"That's right. Go up and eat something; don't starve. After you've replenished your energy, Karena will take you for some tests. Then come back and share your new life with me!" Eddie smiled.

"Okay, thank you, Eddie!" Rebecca smiled sweetly.

"No problem, we're family. Alright, Bertha, it's your turn." Eddie nodded to Bertha, who was already preparing on the other side.

Bertha was filled with excitement; she was already a bit impatient, wanting to experience the miraculous serum. She had violent tendencies, but controlled them very well, only showing them when facing enemies.

Christine Yamata was helping to add nutrient solution and perform some auxiliary tasks. When she saw Rebecca emerge, a glint flashed in her beautiful eyes. She had already discovered a brand new way to use the virus; creating bioweapons was indeed the most foolish approach!

Eddie watched Bertha gradually fall asleep in the freezing chamber, and a bold idea suddenly flashed in his mind—no, it was a sudden inspiration. What if Jessica was also modified like the modified serum? Using the Tyrant production template as a blueprint, that should be able to repair Jessica's brain.

Repairing memories seems very unscientific, but Marcus's use of the Leech Queen—no, the Leech Queen inheriting Marcus's memories—suggests it's very possible.

This proves that human memories always exist; they just need to be activated and remembered through some unique method.

Thinking of this, Eddie had a clue. If he simulated Marcus's resurrection method and then improved it, mainly by activating brain cells, preventing another Marcus from appearing, wouldn't it succeed?

It must be said, this idea was very bold, and it was the limit of what he could achieve so far.

Eddie had the G-Virus data in his hands. The G-Virus's controllability was too weak. And one hard-to-accept point was that the G-Virus would lead to the appearance of compound eyes; the multi-eyed monster's appearance was indeed a bit difficult to accept.

If it could be improved, then perhaps it would be a good choice. For now, it was definitely not possible. It was not as practical as the T-Virus, which was easy to handle and would not lead to uncontrollable situations.

"Boss, you looked so scary just now, like a bad guy!" Christine Yamata said weakly.

"I was never a good person! I am a bad person, don't think too highly of me. Besides, Kyoko, are you still afraid of bad guys? That's not like you!" Eddie said proudly. As a bad person, he was proud of not being a good person.

Christine Yamata shook her head and whispered, "No, I'm not afraid. On the contrary, I enjoy using my potions to bring some fun to those bad guys. It's just that your smile makes me a little flustered, perhaps because you are too strong."

This flattery came a bit unexpectedly. A beautiful woman's praise indeed makes people proud easily, especially a woman like Christine Yamata, who is talented, tall, and beautiful. Everyone would be very happy.

Chapter 120: Ada Returns Again

After some more time, Moira suddenly called and said, "Hi, Eddie, I joined the Raccoon City Police Department! I'm now a member of the newly formed Special Elite Agents Squad!"

Eddie was a bit confused, "What happened?"

"Don't you even watch the news? The S.T.A.R.S. has been disbanded, citing too many casualties. And a similar squad has been re-established to replace it. You're out of a job too!" Moira's tone had a hint of teasing.

"So that's how it is. I see. Congratulations." Eddie said indifferently. He wasn't concerned about what was happening in Raccoon City right now; he was more concerned about his experiment's progress.

"Hmph! Aren't you happy at all?" Moira was a bit displeased.

"I've been very busy lately. By the way, didn't Barry send you away?" Eddie was a bit puzzled. Why would Moira still be here? Raccoon City was quite dangerous.

What Eddie didn't know was that Barry had gone to Chief Brian and, using the reason that Moira was Eddie's good friend, found a good position for his daughter. His daughter was tough, and he wasn't worried because Eddie would look after her.

"What? I have a proper job, and I've grown up, hmph, Eddie, you're such a big idiot!" Moira said huffily.

"No, next time I go to Raccoon City, I'll treat you to a meal. I'm in the Arklay Mountains now; it's very safe here. I have a helicopter, don't worry. I still have something to do, so I'll hang up now." Eddie finished speaking and hung up the phone.

Moira, on the other side, was a bit annoyed. She picked up her gun and went to the firing range; she wanted to shoot targets to vent her frustration.

After hanging up the phone, Eddie started checking the news online. It turned out that Brian had already held a press conference, stating that the situation in the Arklay Mountains had been perfectly resolved, and even Captain Wesker had sacrificed himself. However, the mountain area would remain cordoned off until the cleanup was complete before being reopened.

And the S.T.A.R.S. had been disbanded, with its original members being reassigned to ordinary agents. Other agents would be selected and promoted to special operations members to replace the S.T.A.R.S..

Eddie knew this was Brian's decision after receiving large bribes from Umbrella. Money talks, and Brian was the one being swayed by it!

"Hiss!" With a sound of the freezing chamber door opening, the laboratory temperature dropped another notch, becoming close to zero degrees.

Bertha opened her eyes. She could feel a big difference; some old injuries had disappeared, her skin had become better, and her whole body was full of strength. After stepping out of the freezing chamber, her first words to Eddie were, "Thank you, Boss."

"We're family, don't be so polite. You can call me by my name; calling me 'Boss' always feels a bit strange." Eddie smiled.

"Alright, Eddie, then I won't be polite." Bertha nodded gracefully. She wasn't one of those young girls; this serum was pretty good, but it was just the beginning.

"Christine Yamata, it's your turn." Eddie continued to lower his head, mixing the vaccine. After the last enhancement was complete, he would need to treat Jessica.

A glint of excitement flashed in Christine Yamata's beautiful eyes. Personally experiencing the improved effects of the serum, from what she had seen so far, the effects seemed to be very good. "Okay, Boss!"

"We're family, just call me Eddie. Relax, don't be nervous, it's fine." Eddie waved his hand and began mixing the potion with Rebecca's help.

At the same time, in the Umbrella office building, several confidential documents lay on Sergei's desk. One was about the progress of the Nemesis project experiment transported from France, which was beginning mechanical weapon training. After training was complete, it could be put into testing as an experimental weapon.
