Chapter 112 - 112

Returning to Raccoon City, Eddie finally relaxed a bit, "I'm finally back. I almost didn't make it."

"With me, you'll definitely make it back." Svetlana snorted. Was he questioning her competence?

After resting for a while, Eddie felt fully revitalized. If Raccoon City wasn't already terminally ill, living here would actually be quite nice.

Eddie got up and grabbed the coffee on the table to perk himself up. Wolf Mother Ruper walked in, clacking her high-heeled sandals. "Your phone rang. Yoko needs you. Are you hungry? I'll have Jessica make you something to eat."

Eddie took the phone and chuckled, "Why don't you make a loving meal?"

"I only kill people, I don't cook!" Wolf Mother declared proudly, then turned and left.

"Hello, Yoko, is something wrong?" Eddie yawned. He was still a bit sleepy, but a little coffee should help a lot.

"Eddie, I found out that William Birkin isn't dead. He previously created a clone of himself in the Raccoon City underground lab and controlled it with a chip. He himself left through a secret passage with a man wearing sunglasses. I haven't been able to trace his current whereabouts." Suzuki Yoko said sweetly.

"What! That son of a bitch William isn't dead yet?" Eddie exclaimed in surprise. He thought everything was going according to his plan, but it wasn't. That bastard William actually cloned himself to replace him. That's a pretty slick move!

"Yes, I'll send you the video to watch." Suzuki Yoko confirmed.

Watching the video on his phone, he could see Wesker taking William through the ventilation duct. They must have gone to join some mysterious organization. He wondered if it was Tricell? Or a department under Tricell? Other companies hadn't reached the point of having private armed forces. It should be said that the qualifications are more fitting!

"Alright, it seems things are getting more and more interesting, heh heh. Is Monica behaving?" Eddie suddenly asked.

"She's very well-behaved. She doesn't ask anything, just quietly looks out from the train car. We didn't give her anything that could contact the outside world." Suzuki Yoko looked at Monica in the car again, making sure she was within her surveillance range.

"Very good. You all head to our cruise ship now. That will temporarily be our base. Once everything goes smoothly, I'll build a big house, and then we can have a home." Eddie joked. A family? That's a bold idea.

"It's okay, I'll support you. Let's go now!" Suzuki Yoko nodded. No matter what Eddie said, she always carried it out unconditionally.

Having dealt with Monica's follow-up procedures, Eddie put away his phone and went to the restaurant to feast.

Jill and Alyssa were still compiling evidence of Umbrella's crimes. This was driven by their sense of justice; Umbrella could not be allowed to escape justice.

Jessica and Lisa were hiding in the room, whispering, while Wolf Mother taught them the essential skills of special forces operatives.

Meanwhile, Sergei, sensing that something was wrong, began organizing armed personnel to re-enter the Raccoon City underground lab for reconnaissance and retrieval.

"Sir, Alpha Team has been out of contact with us for twenty-four hours. Their mission has likely failed." An intelligence officer reported to Sergei.

"Don't worry about them. Organize everyone to clear the path to the underground lab, no matter the cost. I will lead the team personally. Have Brian suppress all negative news related to the company to buy us enough time!" Sergei said coldly.

Retrieving the Red Queen computer was imperative, but Sergei's left eyelid kept twitching wildly, as if something bad was about to happen.

Chapter 186: Successful Framing, Wesker Takes the Blame

When Sergei personally led his team to the underground lab's server room, he found that the Red Queen's motherboard was gone! This meant that all the biological weapon research data developed here was gone, and everything would have to start from scratch. Furthermore, if some of the data involved were released, it would be fatal for Umbrella, and as Umbrella's chief executive chairman, he might be caught in a storm of public opinion and sued!

Sergei furiously punched, directly smashing through a computer. "Who the hell did this!"

The Ivan-type Tyrant remained standing silently, wearing a pure white restraint suit and shoes. Its tall stature would not make anyone suspect that it was just a tall and strong bodyguard.

Sergei suddenly noticed a knife-carved mark. After smearing it with blood, he could see the writing, "I will get revenge on Umbrella. The next time we meet will be your death, Sergei!"

These words were without beginning or end, and it seemed like they were carved by a researcher who had already defected.

Sergei began to search the surveillance footage, entering a series of codes. This was a privilege only high-ranking personnel had, allowing them to view hidden cameras. Finally, in a hidden corner, he discovered a fleeting figure.

Sergei pressed the pause button. He saw a man in black, wearing sunglasses and with slicked-back hair. This attire belonged to his sworn enemy, Wesker.

"Albert Wesker! You're not dead yet, huh. It seems you used some little tricks. Hmph, when I find you, I'll kill you!" Sergei fiercely slashed his hand with a knife, a large amount of blood spilled out, then healed very quickly. He had a self-harming habit and an extreme love for pain, perhaps some peculiar habits brought on by T-Virus adaptation.

This was just Eddie's trick, deliberately leaving some inconspicuous traces, a despicable method that might be seen through. But it didn't matter, no one knew he did it, and even if they knew someone was framed, they wouldn't suspect him. As long as he could annoy Wesker and not let him live too well, that was enough.

At the Southern Precinct, Brian kept nodding after receiving the call. After hanging up, he sneered. Umbrella continued to treat him like a dog, as always. In front of the powerful Umbrella, let alone a small chief like him, even Raccoon City's Mayor Warren was just an insignificant pawn in Spencer's hands, calling him a dog was not an exaggeration.

"Want to suppress the newspapers in Raccoon City? That's no problem, but should I leave a little evidence? Ben might be a useful target. Hmph, Eddie, I won't let you control me for nothing either." Brian's eyes flickered constantly, a little crazed.

Eddie was preparing his firearms, intending to leave Raccoon City during the period when it was out of control and Umbrella couldn't spare any attention for him. As long as he could leave Raccoon City, he would be free as a bird in the vast sky. At that time, it wouldn't be Umbrella looking for people to deal with him, but facing the jackals ready to carve up Umbrella.

"Hey, Eddie, haha, it's Kevin. Although I'm interrupting you, I still need to tell you something. Can you help develop some corresponding vaccines?" Kevin's voice sounded a bit embarrassed, after all, it was a troublesome request.

"The vaccine needs updating. I'll give it to you tomorrow. Not many, only three bottles. You, Leon, and Marvin can use them." Eddie agreed without thinking. Eddie said.

"Thank you so much. I'll buy you a drink sometime. I have things to do here, those thugs are starting again. Sorry, I have to hang up." Kevin apologized and hung up the phone. The reason he trusted Eddie was because the serum from their last operation was indeed very effective.

Eddie, after hanging up the phone, walked to the window. He could vaguely see some fires in the north. The local hospitals had been doing very well recently, and the general hospital had taken in many patients suffering from the cannibal disease.

At the Waste Disposal Plant, Daniel, who had escaped the lab, brought his subordinates here to retrieve a special biochemical weapon he had developed, a weapon called the Night Goddess!

This goddess was not a person, just like Nemesis, it was just a codename. In reality, it was miles away from the word 'goddess'.

In the sulfuric acid pool, the macrophages, degraded and weakened, were loaded into containers under the control of the staff, to be escorted by mercenaries to the dock for transport.

This cell nucleus was the latest invention, theoretically capable of devouring all monsters, and still had huge potential for improvement. It was a weapon worth continued research, and Raccoon City didn't seem safe right now. Even the underground lab had seen a large number of zombies due to the serum leak.

For safety reasons, this precious biological weapon had to be transported away first.

During the time Eddie and Jill were having dinner, Sergei and his men repaired the tram and traveled from the underground lab to the underground Mother Hive, only to find it also in chaos, with traces of combat everywhere.

With an uneasy mind, Sergei came to the hidden server room in the dormitory area and discovered that the motherboard here had also been stolen!

Bang! Sergei punched and shattered the wall, endless rage filling his brain. He felt like he was going crazy; the two most important computer motherboards had been stolen. They contained a large amount of Umbrella's research data, all experimental evidence from the Raccoon City branch. If others got hold of it, it would be a disaster!

An enraged Sergei led his men to sweep through the underground Mother Hive. In the lab William usually used for experiments, Sergei discovered a special agent, an agent he was very familiar with!

This was used on clones, for stabilizing cell tissues.

Logically speaking, using this agent for human experiments was quite normal. But Sergei suspected William had secretly cloned something, so he continued to investigate.

He then discovered that William had cloned himself. What was the point of a scientist cloning a defenseless scientist? "Could it be that the William I encountered wasn't the real William, but a clone William? Wesker, hmph, I understand now. Using a clone to create proof of his own death? Naive. You took the Red Queen and still think you can run?"

William would never have imagined that his trick had been seen through by Sergei. Even if he knew, he wouldn't care, because he was currently on a plane to Europe. The Travis Family had promised him the highest treatment! Better treatment than he had at Umbrella!

Chapter 187: The Outbreak Begins, Jill's Company

Ada arrived abruptly during dinner, graceful in her high heels. Aunt Wang, no, Sister Wang, was indeed very charming.

"You must be Jill, pleased to meet you." Ada sat down at the dining table uninvited.

Jill raised an eyebrow, "That's right, you're Ada? Thank you for taking care of Eddie for me before. As Eddie's wife, I'm very grateful."

Jill's words made it clear. She was Eddie's wife. If the other party had any ideas, they should discard them consciously and not do anything pointless.

"Heh heh, you're welcome. Eddie and I are good friends, it's only right for me to take care of him." Ada also smiled charmingly, as if there was really something going on, but there was absolutely nothing going on!

"Cough cough, alright, long time no see, Ada. Is there something going on this time?" Eddie coughed. He was genuinely worried that these two strong women would start a fight, which would be troublesome.
