Chapter 126 - 126

The rocket-propelled grenade, still clutched, continued its flight until it ran out of fuel and plummeted from mid-air.

It landed on the roof of a civilian house where someone was hiding. Seeing the rocket fall on his position, he cursed under his breath. Before he could dodge, he felt himself being blown away.

This figure was Nikolai, who had come to collect combat data. Several companies had contacted him, wanting firsthand combat information. This was his chance to get rich; he only believed in money.

He had just arrived and witnessed an exciting scene when he was accidentally injured by the shrapnel. It seemed that before he fainted, he felt his male dignity being "cut off" by the shrapnel!

Thanatos Tyrant activated. Its ability to catch a rocket-propelled grenade with bare hands was incredibly astonishing. How much arm strength would it take to do something so powerful?

Nemesis also clearly sensed something unusual. Everything it saw was transmitted to Umbrella's server room.

Sergei was also in Spencer's villa, watching this grand battle scene between Tyrants. This Nemesis was not his clone, but rather used a death row inmate as a base body.

Spencer wasn't concerned about that; he was more interested in how much money these things could sell for. The traditional arms business was monopolized by other corporations, so he had to find an alternative. Besides, the barrier to entry for firearms wasn't high; it was just that there were sales restrictions. You couldn't just buy planes and tanks even if you wanted to; others might not even sell them to you.

"Sergei, who do you think will win?" Spencer's expression was playful. He had been in a good mood recently; the medicine that would revive him was currently being researched. That child, Alex, had never disappointed him. What a good daughter!

"Nemesis, without a doubt." Sergei continued to gesture with his knives, completely unrestrained. Respect was one thing, but other matters were another.

"I'm old now; you'll have to handle these things. The T-Virus will make you live for a very, very long time. This is your era," Spencer sneered.

"We still obey you. You are the master of this world. Building a new world still presents great difficulties, and we need your talent to lead us," Sergei said respectfully. He wasn't interested in human evolution, but he was very interested in leading troops into battle.

Chapter 211: The Veteran's Granddaughter, Marry

Thanatos Tyrant's rapid claw attack, covering a distance of twenty meters, reached Nemesis in less than two seconds, swatting a rocket-propelled grenade away.

Thump! Nemesis directly kicked Thanatos Tyrant flying and began to chase after it.

The two Tyrants began indiscriminate attacks. One punch sent a car blocking the way flying, and one kick demolished a wall. The battle between two top-tier biological weapons was a brutal exchange of blows.

The situation was extremely bizarre; no one would have imagined a showdown between two different series of Tyrants. Both possessed incredibly abnormal regenerative abilities and were unable to dodge each other's attacks, relying solely on their formidable physiques to withstand the blows.

There were no zombies near either of them; all had been affected by the shockwaves of the battle, either dead or crippled.

"Oh, God, did I just see two monsters fighting?" Sienna was somewhat incredulous. If this intelligence could be sold, wouldn't she make a fortune?

"That's not the scariest thing. The scary thing is that we don't know how many more monsters are in this city." Caroline frowned, somewhat worried about the safety of her benefactor, Eddie.

"Alright, leave this to Dr. Mueller's artwork. Let's go restore power to the substation," Jeddingham called out to his team to complete the mission.

On the other side, Eddie led Claire and the others toward the police station. At this moment, a large number of Lickers and Hunters appeared around them. The tracks of these monsters seemed to be heading towards the precinct, consciously hunting the survivors there?

There were indeed quite a few survivors in the precinct. Many people would think of seeking refuge in the precinct when danger struck.

There were also many wandering zombies on the road, and the screams of fleeing people.

In front of a Western restaurant, the main door was blocked, and a large number of zombies were banging on it from outside. Claire pointed to the restaurant and said, "Eddie, there might be people inside. Should we save them?"

"Not for now. Police officers will come to save them. All police officers are currently concentrated on Raccoon City Street to resist. That's the main road, with a large number of zombies attacking. Only by eliminating the zombies will these residents be safe. Zombies are the source; saving them is just a drop in the ocean." Eddie shook his head and refused. He wasn't a soft-hearted person and didn't want to save people.

"Survivors in the vicinity, please proceed to the rooftop parking lot of the Rone Building. A rescue helicopter will pick you up there." A helicopter flew slowly across the sky, and the announcer repeatedly broadcast the previous message through a loudspeaker.

The road ahead was already piled high with zombies, so they had to take a detour. Only Tyrants would be so fierce as to forcefully charge into a zombie horde, as zombies don't bite Tyrants after all.

"Claire, we need to change direction and go via the Rone Building. This place is full of monsters," Eddie analyzed.

"No problem, I'll listen to you." Claire nodded, picked up her pistol, and her expression was resolute. Even seeing a large number of zombies, she didn't panic; her psychological resilience was very strong.

The four turned and walked towards the building. By this time, the Western restaurant had already been breached by zombies. The wooden door simply couldn't withstand the zombies' scratching. Unfeeling zombies, even if crippled, would constantly search for food to gnaw on, driven by instinct.

Bang! Eddie solved a approaching zombie with a single pistol shot. The front was already blocked by more than a dozen abandoned cars. In the middle was an abandoned bus, and a large number of zombies could still be seen lurking on the bus. The passengers had turned into zombies, making it somewhat unrealistic to cross this street.

"Hey, wait for us up ahead!" Four people jumped out from the second floor of the Western restaurant, dodged the zombies, and quickly ran over.

There were three men and one woman: two black men, an old man, and a white girl.

"You haven't been bitten by those things, have you?" Eddie asked cautiously, raising his gun.

"No, we were customers in the restaurant. The attack suddenly broke out earlier, and everyone turned into those terrifying man-eating monsters. Are you going to the evacuation point? Please take us with you," the bald black man pleaded.

"I hope you can keep up, and quickly. Those guys are going to treat us as food." Eddie finished speaking and ran quickly, leaping nimbly onto the three-meter-high bus.

Claire also ran quickly, stepping onto the bus, trying to jump up. Eddie appropriately offered a helping hand and pulled Claire up. "Thanks, Eddie."

"We're friends, no need to be so polite." Eddie smiled. He was always happy to help beautiful women, but for men, he'd pass.

Svetlana and Jessica also easily jumped onto the three-meter-high bus roof. They didn't even need a running start. The visual effect looked very impressive. Impressive women, wearing high heels, made it even more difficult.

"You guys hurry up and follow, if you miss the time, the helicopter might leave," Eddie called out.

"Okay, please lend me a hand, comrade!" The old man was clearly a veteran, using a military term to address him.

Eddie pulled the old man up. The other party wasn't a burden, but a veteran who still had courage! "You're not bad. Did you participate in the Peninsula War?"

"That's right, my name is Bill." The old man nodded and said, then turned to help his other companions get up. The two black men got on the roof first, while the white girl was last.

"Hurry, Marry, no time! We have a plane to catch," Bill said, extending his hand.

Just then, a nearby vehicle suddenly exploded, blowing Marry away. She was too disoriented to get up for a moment.

"Marry!" Bill shouted.

"What is she to you?" Eddie asked curiously.

"My granddaughter. Her parents both died in Raccoon City and turned into monsters. I personally shot and killed them," Bill said, suppressing his grief. "Can you save her? She's just a college student; she still has a bright future."

"Alright, it's no trouble at all." Eddie nodded. If Claire wasn't watching from behind, he wouldn't have done it just to gain some brownie points. He had to appear cold, but also with a touch of kindness, not being a pushover, so that Claire's impression of him would get better and better.

Whoosh! Eddie leaped off the bus, kicking away approaching zombies with a spinning kick using his martial arts. Kicking a large number of zombies was very strenuous, but not overly troublesome. His formidable strength, when faced with such a situation, manifested as a violent aesthetic akin to a one-man army!

Chapter 212: Arsonist of Hearts

After repelling the surrounding zombies, Eddie pulled up next to Marry and looked closely. This college student was indeed quite stunning, very pretty, with very fair skin. Perhaps this is what a white person truly is? Fair skin covers three flaws. "Beautiful lady, how are you? Can you still walk? This is no place to rest; you'll become zombie food."

"Let me die. My parents are gone. They turned into monsters, and they wanted to eat me. I don't know what to do, boo hoo hoo!" Marry shook her head, crying helplessly.

Slap! Slap! Eddie didn't hold back, directly giving her two slaps to wake her up, showing no pity for her beauty. "Wake up! You're alive, you're not dead. Damn it, don't you have a boyfriend? Think about your significant other. Love is worth living for!"

"I don't have a boyfriend!" Marry shook her head. "Am I very pathetic?"

"Whether you're pathetic or not has nothing to do with you being alive. Get up now; don't play dead here. I saved you once; you owe me a thousand dollars, and you have to pay it back! Get up quickly, live well, go to work to earn money, and pay me back!" Eddie was speechless. Are all college students so psychologically fragile now?

He scooped Marry onto his back, then took a few quick steps and jumped onto the bus. "Let's go, head that way. Try not to shoot. Zombies are very sensitive to sound. Sometimes they see you but don't necessarily come, but if they hear you, they'll definitely come."

They passed through the bus street. The zombies here were trapped inside the vehicles, with many of them banging on the windows, wanting to come out and hunt.

Eddie, even with someone on his back, could still constantly kick zombies away with his martial arts. Close-range attacks were very effective, but also very dangerous, as it was easy to get scratched.
