Chapter 175 - 175

Wesker was so amused he laughed. It was the first time he'd heard someone tell him he was an impostor. Did people still like to impersonate others these days?

"I am the genuine Wesker, no fakes. Listen, Umbrella is preparing new bioweapon experiments, and we need to stop them. Once Umbrella is dealt with, then it's time for us to settle our scores."

In the past, Wesker would never have done this. He would have hidden behind the scenes, secretly acquiring the necessary resources, not wasting time on such matters.

But now he couldn't. He had to unite everyone he could to weaken Umbrella's influence to the extreme. Otherwise, finding Spencer and confronting him would be utterly unrealistic.

"What evidence do you have?" Chris clearly didn't trust Wesker. He had been greatly provoked by the other's betrayal, leading two teams to their deaths just to test the practical power of those bioweapons. Such a thing was intolerable.

"Do you still need evidence? Do you know what Umbrella does? It researches bioweapons to sell to unstable regions and private armed groups. If you weren't investigating Umbrella, what would you be doing in France?" Wesker sneered.

"Can't we be here for tourism?" Joseph grumbled, annoyed. Every time he remembered how this guy almost got him killed, he'd get furious.

"Suit yourselves. At this address is Umbrella's ultimate research facility. You can go and see." Wesker dropped a note and turned to leave.

Chris was about to refuse, but when he looked up, Wesker was already gone, as if he'd seen a ghost. "Where did that guy run off to?"

"I don't know, Chris. Do you think we need to investigate this place?" Joseph was indecisive.

"Yes, why not? Although I still have a score to settle with that guy Wesker, he's right. Our goal is the same: to investigate Umbrella's criminal evidence." Chris's tone was firm. Looking at the address on the note, he made up his mind that he would make Umbrella pay.

Two days later, Eddie had prepared the compatible T-Virus, allowing Ms. Yaxi to prepare for medical recovery.

It was the first time Ms. Yaxi had encountered such a thing, and she was still a bit unaccustomed to it. After a moment of hesitation, she decided to go through with it. If she were to die due to a matter of pride, Jack would certainly be very sad, and she couldn't let her child be without a mother.

"Relax. I've done this experiment many times; there won't be any major problems." Eddie took a sip of coffee. He couldn't smoke in the lab, so he chose to drink coffee.

"No, I know it's my first time, so I'm a bit nervous." After preparing, Ms. Yaxi stepped into the cryogenic chamber.

"You'd best rely on your conviction; willpower is very helpful for the treatment. If your willpower is strong, this thing can help you overcome the illness." Eddie reminded her. Whether it was the T-Virus or the G-Virus, willpower had a significant impact.

Chapter 291: The Pharmaceutical Association's Invitation

The world would never lack war and turmoil, and bioweapons became a new option. Especially with the events in the Middle East, bordering Eastern Europe, the situation here was the most volatile. And the African continent was also a very suitable place for selling bioweapons.

Wolf Mom Lupo recently switched to intelligence work. Due to her pregnancy, she had to give up fighting on the front lines. At thirty-eight, she was technically at risk for an advanced maternal age pregnancy, but the virus's enhancement made her look only in her early thirties, and her improved physical fitness also averted the risk of difficult labor.

Tap, tap, tap. Wolf Mother walked in, clacking her high-heeled sandals. Even while doing intelligence work, she always carried weapons and daggers. "Eddie, the Federation of Pharmaceutical Companies has invited you to a meeting to address the accusations against Umbrella and its future developments."

Eddie was busy at the computer. "Do you think I should go?"

"It wouldn't hurt to go. It's a good chance to openly crush them, lest they resort to underhanded tactics against us. You already have the strength; there's no need to hide. My child's father is a man of courage." Wolf Mom Lupo proudly tilted her chin, her pretty face beaming with pride.

"Do you think I'm weak?" Eddie raised an eyebrow.

"Of course not. It's just that those guys bully the weak and fear the strong. Your style is good, but sometimes you need to change it up. Using the right method for the right person will yield better results." Wolf Mother smiled and refilled the man's coffee, her beautiful eyes full of amusement.

"When is it?" Eddie continued to adjust the data that Rebecca had sent him.

Rebecca had a great talent for virology and understood various characteristics very well. She was currently working on deciphering the G-Virus, and once successful, she would be able to extract a serum with minor or even no side effects.

This was very helpful for his evolutionary path. It was wise to have spent so much effort recruiting Rebecca in the first place.

"A week from now. Also, we received intelligence that Wesker was seen in Europe. He has already defected to the Travis Family. If the intelligence is correct, then William must have also defected to the Travis Family," Wolf Mother analyzed.

"What are they doing in Europe?" Eddie held his coffee. Coffee poured by someone else always tasted better.

"What else could they be doing? Naturally, investigating Umbrella's criminal evidence. Currently, Umbrella is already packaging assets for sale and doesn't seem to intend to continue." Karena said, opening the data on her tablet.

"What is that old guy Spencer thinking?" Eddie felt a bit strange. He was increasingly unable to grasp the future direction, and some subtle changes might lead to misjudgments.

"Who's accompanying me this time?" Eddie looked at Jessica and Lisa, who were still in the cryogenic chamber.

"You can have anyone you want as your assistant. How about Michaela Schneider? She's never been out. Let her accompany you on a trip to see the world. Christine needs to stay behind to help Rebecca continue the research and improvement of the G-Virus; there's no time to waste on these matters." Wolf Mother quickly made the decision for the man.

"If you've decided, that's fine. I'll have Cindy come with me then." Eddie yawned, seemingly a bit sleepy.

"Cindy was pulled away by Claire to help. The relief organization is very busy right now. Plus, she's doing relief work in Idonia, which is very helpful for our subsequent factory establishment plan." Wolf Mother chuckled playfully. She liked seeing the young man frustrated.

"Then I'll take Alyssa. Surely not everyone is busy." Eddie raised an eyebrow, a sign of displeasure.

"She certainly has time. Being unhappy is useless. Do you have any objections?" Wolf Mother said, hands on her hips, her strong woman aura emerging.

Eddie wouldn't argue with Karena over such trivial things. After all, she was pregnant, and pregnant women had more say.

Three days later, in the city of Petersburg, Europe, the headquarters of the Federation of Pharmaceutical Companies was located. Almost all famous pharmaceutical companies in the world were here, and all of them had cooperated with Umbrella.

The research of bioweapons required many raw materials. These pharmaceutical companies were responsible for processing for Umbrella, and more or less participated in the research of bioweapons, the difference being whether they were aware or not.

Eddie got off the plane, and German officials came to pick him up. As a top genius who had developed treatments for AIDS and leukemia, he would be flattered wherever he went.

Angering this great figure might lead to a lack of drug supply in the region, leaving patients to die.

Eddie, however, was also very cunning. He would use the influence of journalists like Alyssa to spread the word that because someone had slighted him in some matter, he had decided to increase the sales price of exclusive drugs in that region by five hundred times.

Making money was definitely a must. For ordinary people, it was a hundred yuan per pill, but if Eddie was offended, people in that region would pay five hundred thousand per pill. If you had money, buy it. As for opposing it? The merchants responsible for sales would be eager to publicly raise prices.

Bringing Michaela Schneider and Alyssa to the hotel, this was the lodging for the conference attendees.

As soon as they put down their belongings, someone knocked on the door. Michaela Schneider went to open the room door, and a fat man appeared, who was Senator Lorne David of the Western Federation.

"I just arrived at the hotel, and you're already rushing over. There must be something. Speak up; let's not waste time." Eddie took out a medicinal cigarette. Alyssa next to him rolled her eyes, took a match to light the man's cigarette, and then unceremoniously took one for herself.

"You need to help me, help me secure vaccine promotion. I want WilPharma Corporation to smoothly obtain the rights to promote the vaccine. The T-Virus will continue to spread. If it's not stopped, it could trigger a global disaster." Senator David's expression was grave.

The T-Virus leak caused by Umbrella resulted in the Western Federation having to pay for it. Such an event, capable of turning normal people into zombies, if not prevented by a vaccine, could potentially lead to a world full of zombies.

Thus, vaccine development was put on the agenda, and it also required periodic observation. The Western Federation bore the brunt of the cost, while other regions contributed smaller amounts. This was why the Western Federation wanted to kill that damn Umbrella, a son of a bitch. Being forced to use missiles to wipe out a city for no reason, and then having to pay compensation—perhaps this was just how high society operated.

Chapter 292: Excella's Jealousy

"And then died?" Senator David asked, puzzled.

"Nonsense, how is that possible? If it died, it wouldn't be called a vaccine. I remember Kaplan didn't find a doctor named George to help develop the vaccine, did he?" Eddie flicked his cigarette ash.

"It was that guy Morgan Lansdale who recruited Doctor George. He also partnered with the Federation of Pharmaceutical Companies to jointly develop a new counter-vaccine."

"Moreover, what I want is the South India authority. My company is in South India, a region with weak military power. As long as I find Kaplan and have him exert pressure, South India will obediently allow me to conduct drug trials. There are many people there, and no one will know if some die." Senator David sneered. Human lives? In the face of money, human lives were utterly insignificant.

"Then you should go find Kaplan, not me. Finding me is useless." Eddie snorted. This was either looking for the wrong person or showing off his superiority.

"I want you to help me develop the vaccine. You know a lot about the T-Virus; you can definitely help me. Afterwards, when it's done, I'll give you a million." Senator David's expression showed a bit of heartache. It seemed a million would pain him for a long time.

"A million? Are you trying to get rid of a beggar? You don't need to rely on me. You can rely on Frederick. He used to work at Umbrella and has considerable research in this area. And what you need to do is to get him to favor you." Eddie reminded him.

"Him? He's not in charge of this work now. He's researching the G-Virus vaccine." David felt very confused.
