"Haha. You really are interesting. I often use that excuse," Sienna teased, patting his shoulder with a familiar air.
"Alright everyone, let's have tea sometime. For now, everyone go home," Eddie waved his hand and headed to his pharmaceutical company's headquarters.
In the heart of Havverville City, there stood a skyscraper, home to an emerging pharmaceutical company. Its affordable leukemia and AIDS drugs were widely popular.
Curtis was still very busy, responsible for the business in the Northern Federation's Oceania state, which only had two regions, making it relatively less demanding.
Eddie got off the plane, and the military pilot responsible for transport began flying back.
At the airport, a blonde beauty with a beauty mark on the left side of her chin, dressed in casual clothes, was waiting. Upon seeing the person she was waiting for, she stood up and waved, "Eddie, over here, over here."
Chapter 352: Suppressing Alexia
"Hi, long time no see. You've gotten even prettier," Eddie said with a smile, giving her a friendly greeting.
"Thank you, I'm here to pick you up. This way, please," Angela said with a smile.
The three got into a decent sports car. Angela drove the car through the suburbs, as airports are usually not located in the city center but are isolated by a considerable distance to prevent any incidents from affecting nearby residents.
"The city is quite bustling. Just take us to the company. We still have things to do. Let's have dinner together next time," Eddie said from the back seat. He had to go back and deal with Alexia's matter first; once she went berserk, it would be very difficult to handle.
"Alright, you're a busy man. Thank you very much for your medicine. Because it can inhibit AIDS, crime here has been greatly reduced," Angela said with a smile. As a SWAT officer, she could clearly perceive the issue of crime rates.
"To stop them from giving up on themselves? I just want to make money, I'm not that great. Didn't they say raw material prices went up recently? How does your brother plan to handle it?" Eddie looked at Angela's profile. This woman was still very charming.
"Hire local residents and cultivate it ourselves. Don't we still have the news department? Put out an advertisement stating which company isn't cooperating. Now those raw material companies have been surrounded by patients, causing trouble every day. Alyssa said this move was taught to her by you?" Angela said with a smile, her tone a bit teasing.
This was diverting trouble. Not cooperating? That's fine, just turn hostile and say others won't sell raw materials, insisting on raising prices. Let the customers deal with it. Cutting off their medicine is like murder; it would be strange if it didn't cause a huge uproar.
"They are despicable and shameless, and I don't need to be polite. I just want to make money. If someone doesn't want me to make money, then I won't let him make money either. By the way, do you have a boyfriend?" Eddie said coldly, seemingly sensing the atmosphere was a bit strange, and immediately changed the subject.
Angela shook her head, "No, I don't want to find one. There isn't a suitable one."
"Haha, you wouldn't be looking for someone like me, would you? That would indeed be a bit difficult," Eddie teased.
"It would be great if he were half as outstanding as you. I'm not in a hurry now; it's better to be free," Angela wasn't embarrassed. In the Western Federation, flirting was very normal. She had encountered many flirtations, but she had never been impressed.
"Let's have coffee sometime. Remember to bring your ID!" Eddie said with a mischievous smile.
Angela rolled her eyes. The joke was a bit vulgar but down-to-earth. Sometimes, when people say vulgar, it's actually easier to understand. High-and-mighty British gentlemen are the hardest to understand. "Alright, I suppose I'll bring my ID and have a drink with you then."
It wasn't until early morning that Eddie returned to the cruise ship, where a submarine was docked. This was a submarine that had been salvaged. He wondered if Wesker would be scolded by Glory Pharmaceutical for it. A good submarine costs at least several hundred million, much more expensive than a helicopter.
Jill didn't come out to greet him; she had already gone to rest. Pregnant women are always very sleepy.
In the laboratory, Alexia sat in a chair, browsing the news on the computer. She was trying to catch up. After being frozen for fifteen years, her understanding of this world was still stuck in the past.
"Eddie!" Christine looked at her boss returning with a smile.
"You've worked hard. Go rest first. Monica, get me something to eat," Eddie said with a smile, turning to shout at another beauty who was doing odd jobs there.
Monica, feeling a bit wronged, walked to the kitchen in her high heels. Eddie didn't treat her too well, nor too badly. His faint authority made her a bit afraid, so she could only work carefully. "I understand."
Christine walked to the door, "Work hard, Eddie likes obedient women. Anyway, you can't leave, so face your man with a smile!"
Monica nodded, "Thank you, I know what to do."
Alexia didn't even lift her head, "You're quite imposing. When did you get my Veronica Virus? To be able to develop a vaccine to counteract me, and without letting me collapse and die, you've got some skills."
"We're allies, after all. I also don't want to cooperate with a monster. Besides, while your Veronica Virus was top-notch back then, it's a bit outdated now. Do you want to hear my plan?" Eddie snapped his fingers.
Jessica, very sensible and virtuous, walked over with two cups of coffee and placed them on the coffee table.
Alexia also sat over, stirring with a spoon in her delicate hand. "Tell me, what's the plan?"
"Immortality! Eternal life while maintaining youth. How about it? Isn't that a crazy and foolish idea?" Eddie picked up his coffee, took a sip, his tone very calm.
"You've already told them this, haven't you?" Alexia sneered, her beautiful eyes scanning Jessica and Monica, who was pushing in a hamburger.
Monica didn't leave but massaged Eddie's shoulders, looking demure and doing what she was supposed to do.
"No, it's very normal, not crazy at all. What's so fun about eternal life? Ruling this world, then extracting more resources to build what you want, isn't that good?" Alexia snorted.
"And then the whole world turns into those low-intellect monsters? What would they do? Nothing. I advise you not to have such thoughts of ruling the world; facts have proven that such ideas only lead to failure, not success." Eddie wasn't that foolish. Whether it was ruling the world or transforming it, both were equally stupid.
Alexia obviously thought of this and couldn't help but say angrily, "Then why did you bring me back? What exactly do you want to do?"
"Can't I bring you back to be my bandit queen?" Eddie snorted. This woman couldn't be indulged; her arrogance had to be suppressed, at least so she knew not to act on her whims when facing him.
"You!" Alexia suddenly gave a ghostly smile, "If you have the guts, come and try!"
"I'm not stupid. I don't like the feeling of being on fire. Alright, let's talk business. My goal is to strengthen our bodies through viruses, and then maintain youth and achieve immortality by studying the characteristics of immortal jellyfish and cancer cells." Eddie laid out his cards.
Chapter 353: The Queen's Test to Join
Alexia suddenly stroked her long golden hair, tucking it behind her ear, exuding a unique feminine charm. "You probably don't know how terrifying I am. If you cooperate with me, hehe, your women won't agree." Her smile was somewhat self-mocking and ferocious.
"I know. You are the twin created by Alexander to defeat Spencer and regain the Ashford Family's leadership over Umbrella. You always thought you were a replica of the first family head, Veronica, or Alexander's tool?" Eddie said very calmly.
Alexia's beautiful eyes turned icy cold. This was the last thing she wanted to remember: was she human or a replica?
"Many people have suffered the same fate as you. You know Lisa, right? The test subject imprisoned in the Mansion. She endured thirty-two years of inhuman torture, treated as a virus host. Her pain was more intense than anyone's. She's still alive and well. Umbrella's research facility treated her as a monster. But I only treat her as a person, my family," Eddie said, holding Lisa's cold little hand.
Lisa recalled her past experiences, and her eyes instantly turned crimson, a manifestation of extreme anger. At this moment, Lisa's combat power was incredibly exaggerated; even a fifty-ton main battle tank would be overturned and penetrated by her.
After Eddie held her delicate hand, Lisa quickly calmed down, smiled sweetly at Eddie, and then looked at her mother, Jessica. "Thank you, I'm fine!" After speaking, she also squeezed Eddie's hand tightly.
Alexia looked at the tall, blonde beauty with some surprise, "Is she Lisa? She looks much better than her former inhuman, ghostly appearance."
Lisa's heart was devoid of joy or sorrow, but her beautiful eyes held a chill when she looked at Alexia. If it weren't for Eddie, she would have killed this woman right now.
"Can't you consider other people's feelings when you speak? High IQ doesn't mean high EQ. If you were a bit more tactful, you wouldn't have been manipulated by your father," Eddie said coldly.
"What do you mean?" Alexia's beautiful eyes were icy cold.
Eddie played a video showing Alexander's surrender. "I've long known that my daughter would discover this secret. Her extremely high IQ and low EQ will destroy her. If you see this video, whether you are an enemy of Umbrella or an Umbrella employee, please help me give her peace."
And then the video showed the particle cannon, something that could inflict maximum damage on bio-weapons immune to firearms.
Alexia felt a wave of fear after seeing this. That damned Alexander had still schemed against her. "Damn it, why, why!"
Knowing the truth, Alexia was somewhat frantic. She was a bit scared, and also somewhat grateful to Eddie. What followed was despair; her arrogance had been shattered. The thought that her Veronica Virus could still be suppressed by willpower made her very unhappy.
Her proudest aspect had been shattered, and this cruel reality left her feeling confused.
"If you feel lost and don't know what to do, you can follow me. Your IQ is very high, even higher than mine. That's enough for a scientist, but as a manager, you still need emotional intelligence."
