Chapter 233 - 233

Loyalty alone is not enough; one also needs ability and wisdom. Merely having a suitable constitution for a Tyrant cannot make one part of the senior management.

There aren't many people in the whole world who can become a Tyrant by adapting to the T-Virus, but Eddie knows a few: Morpheus from the Atlantic Ocean Branch, Sergei from Caucasus, Norman from the Grey Hound Organization, and Eustannar, the ultimate sycophant in Neo-Umbrella who worships Carla after she took on Ada's appearance, among others.

"It seems Spencer doesn't trust any of us. I wonder if it's because Albert betrayed him. He concealed the truth from all of us. He recently flew to Latin America to find the drug lord Javier to raise funds, preparing for the company's resurgence," Alexia explained.

"Since we've reached an agreement, then in two days, we'll go to your territory together. As long as you can satisfy me, I will satisfy you too." Christine leaned on the desk with both hands, her beautiful eyes slightly narrowed, a complete vixen-like image.

"Then, happy cooperation," Eddie extended his hand.

Christine shook hands with him, a brief touch.

Christine spent two days handling matters for the French Branch, and during this time, Eddie didn't investigate information about the French Branch but instead accompanied Alexia to explore the surroundings.

"Husband, why don't you look for things that might be useful to you instead of wasting time on me?" Alexia asked with a smile.

"You're my wife, so it's perfectly normal for me to be with you. I can look at data later; I just want to cherish this moment. We'll be reunited soon, I promise," Eddie said with a serious expression, not at all like he was lying.

Alexia was very touched. She was a woman, and even if she was strong, once married, she would have a soft spot. As long as her man treated her well, she would remain sufficiently loyal. "Husband, thank you. I'm very lucky to have met you."

"Meeting you is my luck too. Come on, while we have time, let's do something meaningful," Eddie said with a mischievous grin, picking up Alexia and heading into a nearby hotel.

Two days later, a helicopter took off from Dunkirk, flying towards the Atlantic Ocean, eventually reaching a certain island coordinate. This island was already covered in abnormally lush and prosperous vegetation, which was quite unusual.

On the island, Alexia was conducting laboratory modifications, wearing an evening gown, white gloves, and holding a cup of coffee. She walked leisurely, while the surrounding vines constantly waved, arranging equipment parts.

The elegant Alexia, after gaining control over plants with the Veronica Virus, became even more focused on this ability. If others saw her, they would surely be shocked.

Is this even a person? This is clearly a sorceress! How else could one explain such bizarre occurrences?

Christine looked at the unfamiliar yet beautiful woman, controlling the vines to work. This ability was far more advanced than that of a Tyrant; this was a true qualitative change.

Previous virus research only strengthened the body, but it hadn't achieved a qualitative change. The Veronica Virus was the true qualitative change! It truly deserved praise as a virus developed by the Queen.

Chapter 387: Big Brother Chris's New Job

"It's truly amazing. Aren't you going to introduce her? I feel like I've seen her somewhere before?" Christine looked at the charming and noble Alexia, a strange impression lingering in her mind.

"You'll know once you're done with your enhancement. Come on, follow me to the cruise ship," Eddie led the way. When they reached the beach, they could see Jill, Ada, and Svetlana sunbathing in bikinis, as leisurely as canaries.

The instruments on the cruise ship hadn't changed. Once the laboratory was fully set up, the supercomputer Red Queen would be moved to the island.

Here, Christine saw Annette, who was rumored to be dead. Annette was visibly pregnant, yet she wore high heels and looked relaxed, showing no signs of discomfort typical for a pregnant woman.

"You even abducted her? You really are something." Christine's beautiful eyes flashed with surprise, and at the same time, she felt a sense of danger about her own situation. She knew her beauty; if she hadn't been strong enough, too many suitors would have come by now. As for Henry? He was a complete waste.

Annette evidently recognized Christine, nodding to her. "I already guessed you'd be brought here. You truly did come. And rightly so, women can't refuse such a temptation."

"When I was in Raccoon City, I owe a lot to Annette's care. Because of her, I didn't become a monster and achieved what I have today. She is my wife and one of my very important relatives," Eddie said with a smile to Annette, also explaining to Christine.

Annette smiled sweetly at her husband, then her beautiful eyes looked at her daughter, Sherry, in the cryo-pod. Her attention was currently focused on her daughter; the process of virus fusion was going well, without too many mutations interfering.

"It seems I'll also be in great danger in the future. Aren't you going to show me how you do it now?" Christine quickly adjusted her mindset. What was meant to come would come, and so many strong women and geniuses joining Eddie's team proved that her judgment was not bad either.

After all, a good-for-nothing does not earn respect, and no woman would follow a good-for-nothing.

Eddie took Christine's hair and skin cells for a specialized diluted T-Virus enhancement, a unique method of his that no one else had thought of.

It wasn't that ordinary people couldn't do it, but the dosage was too large, and everyone's cellular tolerance was different. Too much would turn them into zombies, too little would have no effect and would even lower immunity.

As Christine took off her high heels and stepped barefoot into the cryo-pod, her mood became anxious. There was both curiosity about the unknown and worry about the danger, all of which fell into a deep sleep as the temperature dropped.

Watching Christine enveloped in the solution, Annette walked over in her high heels. "She's very good. The Nemesis Project was her idea. The Nemesis Project has always been a top experimental project within Umbrella. Her attainments in virology are not low, similar to Excella's."

Meaning that Christine, like Excella, was a versatile woman, only lacking a stage.

After Excella married Eddie, she gained most of the company's power, and Eddie didn't inquire much about her affairs. After initial exploration, Excella now managed the Europe Branch in an orderly manner, handling every troublesome matter perfectly.

Even if Eddie handled it himself, he might not have managed it so well.

"So I'm under a lot of pressure. The women around me are both beautiful and smart. I really feel a bit stressed. If I weren't so smart, something would probably go wrong," Eddie quipped.

Annette gently stroked her bulging pregnant belly. "When I first followed you, you had nothing. No matter what you become, as long as I'm in your heart, I will always support you."

"Haha, I promise, we will all live well. After you give birth, I'll help you with an enhancement. You've worked hard; pregnancy must be very difficult." Eddie looked at the docile Annette, a hint of smugness flashing in his heart. Others' always seemed best. Thinking of William Birkin, who was being cuckolded, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.

On Inglan Island, the BSAA's combat units officially completed their training. Starting today, they would be dispatched to areas with bio-weapons for assistance.

As Chris was about to depart, he stepped out the door and saw a gloomy middle-aged man approaching, accompanied by OBrien.

"Chris, this is Mr. Kaplan from the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission. He will assist us in global counter-terrorism exercises. Recently, there have been rumors of bio-monsters appearing in the Amazon jungle in Latin America. Prepare yourselves; once the agents send intelligence, you will depart," OBrien introduced.

"Hello, Chris. I've heard much about you. It's a pleasure to see the hero who left Raccoon City," Kaplan began to speak more civilly. He had given his wife to Eddie as a gift in exchange for the opportunity to join the BSAA, so he had to seize it.

"I am just a survivor, an ordinary person determined to fight bio-weapons. I'm no hero; you've got the wrong person," Chris shook his head, a hint of sarcasm in his tone.

"Listen, we must expand the BSAA's influence. Current bio-terrorism counter-operations require local approval to enter. We face significant restrictions; even if we make discoveries, we cannot deploy weapons, which carries great risks," Kaplan expressed his concerns.

"So, what's your suggestion?" Chris nodded. He also knew this point. The Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission had begun to take over most counter-terrorism attacks, and the aggressive style of its head, Morgan, had caused resistance in many regions.

"To expand influence, I will use my past connections to apply to the United Nations. When the time is right, we can be taken over by the United Nations, which would make us an official team with better benefits and ample safeguards when entering operational areas," Kaplan said with a smile, his expression still gloomy.

This was a method Eddie had told him. By then, he would transform into a member of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Council. What annoyed Kaplan, however, was hearing his wife's voice when he spoke to Eddie on the phone, which was very strange.

Chapter 388: A Team of Strong Women

The BSAA's operational scope was limited to conflict zones like the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Europe and North America were not their territory; Europe didn't need them, and North America was the Federal Bio-Terrorism Commission's domain.

Three days later, Christine awoke from the cryo-pod. She didn't feel cold, but an intense sense of nausea, like the symptoms of T-Virus infection.

"There's food over there. You'll feel much better after you eat," Eddie's voice sounded appropriately. He was conducting an experiment in front of a culture tank.

Christine disregarded her image and began to eat ravenously. Even she was incredibly surprised that she could consume nearly forty pounds of food. "How long was I asleep?"

"Three days. You had some old hidden injuries, and the T-Virus will repair them, including internal organ ailments. That's why it took an extra day. Normally, it's two days, and for some excellent individuals, it's three days," Eddie explained with a smile.

"What about your wife? How long did it take her?" Christine put on her high heels, resuming the elegant and composed image of a noblewoman.

"Alexia? It took her a month. She's different from you. Her genes have defects, leading to illness. She needed gene sequence recombination to fill in the missing parts, and then enhancement," Eddie explained.

"Supplementing gene sequences? What genes did you give her?" Christine's expression became playful. If he supplemented her with genes from other animals, that would be amusing.

Eddie took a sip of coffee. "She's my wife. I gave her the best genes currently available: the reverse transcriptase gene from the Progenitor Virus. This gene can transform her from defective to perfect."

"Aren't you afraid of something big happening? Retroviruses are no joke; she might turn into a strange creature," Christine frowned. This guy was too audacious.

"Of course not. I've made thorough calculations. Do you know why I had you enter the cryo-pod?" Eddie's expression was incredibly playful. Doing so certainly wasn't just for a feast for the eyes.
