Chapter 241 - 241

This was nothing more than a dream; the dissolution of Tsarist Russia was a collapse entirely due to economic pressure. The desire for revival was merely wishful thinking, though they could achieve the revival of a small Eastern European country, using it as a springboard. At the same time, they would launch their revenge against the Western Federation, for it was the Western Federation that caused the collapse of Tsarist Russia.

Almost all large and medium-sized economic regions received a secret email from Spencer, inviting them to participate in an auction on a cruise ship. On-site transactions would only accept cash, eliminating trouble for these regions and avoiding tracking.

Nikolai had also begun preparations earlier, constantly arranging matters on the cruise ship, acting as the overall commander this time.

General Morgan also received the news and dispatched his capable subordinates, Parker and Sheila, along with several agents, to gather intelligence. Ace agent Rachel was on maternity leave; no one knew who Rachel's husband was, nor had Rachel registered her marriage, or even been seen with any man.

They were curious about the child's father but didn't delve deeper; it was a woman's private matter, and being too gossipy was not a good thing.

Some chose not to participate, while others did. Some were disdainful, others curious. Umbrella seemed to have run out of options and was now selling biochemical weapons. Whether one bought or not, it was always worth going to take a look.

Thus, a large number of non-key Senators, accompanied by a few bodyguards, attended the meeting, prepared to see what on earth Umbrella was selling.

In the consultant's office of the Federation Security Defense Department, Oriana, who had been promoted to a department agent, knocked on the office door. "Mr. Consultant, what do you need me for?"

"Take Carla to the European branch; this is the location coordinate. Afterward, subject her to an experiment, incorporating these gene fragments. I want to reshape her into someone who obeys me. If you do this well, I will give you countless benefits." Simmons handed over a gene fragment.

"Received." Oriana responded coolly after taking the test tube.

"If you don't do well, Morpheus will die." Simmons suddenly said as Oriana was about to leave.

"Who is Morpheus? A demon from hell?" Oriana asked, puzzled.

"Heh heh, don't pretend. You were Umbrella's former research director; do you think I don't know? I don't care what your relatives do, just do what I tell you, and I guarantee you'll be fine. Otherwise, hmph. I'll let you know the consequences of betraying me." Simmons's expression turned incredibly grim.

Oriana paused. "Why don't you do it yourself?"

"I told you to do it, so go do it, no more nonsense." Simmons waved his hand, impatiently ushering her out.

Leaving the office building, Oriana looked at the test tube in her hand, a cold smile playing on her lips. "Want to create a perfect Ada? Just like the intelligence said, he's beyond saving. Simp, simp, simping until you have nothing left."

Soon, Carla, under Simmons's instructions, arrived at the secret laboratory of the European branch. This was Simmons's private laboratory, known to very few personnel.

He found it inconvenient to travel himself, and it was not feasible within the Federation homeland either. If the experiment failed, the consequences would cause him to lose everything.

On the plane, Oriana toyed with the test tube in her hand. Only she and Carla, who was observing a tablet computer, were on the plane.

"What do you think of Simmons?" Oriana suddenly asked.

"An ugly, disgusting, greasy middle-aged man." Carla said without looking up. She had no interest in Simmons whatsoever; it was merely a superior-subordinate relationship.

"If you had the chance to become even more beautiful, would you do it?" Oriana continued to toy with the test tube.

"No, it's meaningless." Carla frowned. "Why are you asking me these pointless questions today? What are you trying to do?"

"Simmons likes Ada, a female spy named Ada. That female spy disappeared a long time ago; her traces are almost impossible to find in the agent roster." Oriana smiled.

"Get to the point." Carla closed her laptop, staring at the other party with an unfriendly gaze.

"As far as I know, Eddie also has some entanglement with a woman named Ada. This woman happens to be the reason for the antagonism between Eddie and Simmons. The real Ada is said to have not escaped Raccoon City. If someone impersonates Ada and wanders around, it will definitely draw Eddie out." Oriana revealed her plan.

Eddie had been silent for almost half a year, as if he had vanished into thin air.

This made Carla somewhat suspicious, wondering if he was plotting something. "What exactly are you trying to say?"

Oriana suddenly lit a cigarette. "Do you trust me?"

"Somewhat." Carla's answer was simple.

"If I had a way to turn you into Ada, you would be able to play both sides, using Simmons's obsession with Ada to demand more resources. When necessary, you could also deliver a fatal blow to Eddie." Oriana smiled eerily.

Carla frowned. "Are you talking about the Pupa Virus? It's not perfected yet, and the risks are high."

"This is just cosmetic surgery; it doesn't significantly enhance abilities, so there won't be too many problems. It's a very suitable tool for cosmetic purposes, though the cost is a bit high. I've checked, and your genes are somewhat similar to Ada's, with a 95% success rate." Oriana decided to betray Simmons as well.

Carla nodded, seemingly finding this suggestion quite good. Using the resources of the simp Simmons to deal with Eddie, her enemy who had humiliated her. "Are you suggesting I sell my body to please Simmons? Such a disgusting thing, why don't you do it yourself!"

Oriana shook her purple-dark skinned lacquered finger. "No, no, no, it's not selling yourself. I have a lot of experience dealing with simps. If you need it, I can teach you a few tricks to ensure Simmons obeys you." Her tone was filled with strong confidence, the kind of confidence beautiful women possess.

Chapter 401: Invitation to the Biochemical Weapon Auction

Carla also seemed to have opened a whole new door, listening to Oriana impart her experience on how to toy with men without putting herself in a desperate situation.

"Although the Pupa Virus cannot turn you into a superhuman, it can make you a bit stronger than ordinary people. I will implant some combat skill memories into you, and at the same time, you can back up a copy of your memories, along with some cues to trigger your memory's resurgence. Simmons is an old dog; he won't be so easily outwitted by us." Oriana, for safety's sake, still had Carla make extra preparations.

Eddie's Mysterious Pharmaceutical also received an email from Spencer, inviting him to the cruise ship banquet.

Looking at the email, Eddie's expression was strange. "Do you think I should go? A yacht banquet a month from now, I always feel it's not a good thing."

"Whether you go or not doesn't matter. I'm not optimistic about this auction. Biochemical weapons are only suitable for specific places. They are not suitable for large-scale deployment and do not conform to humanitarian principles; they are bound to face resistance and suppression." Ada, with her pregnant belly, sat in the boss's chair, swirling a glass of red wine in her right hand, a glint of shrewdness in her beautiful eyes.

"Then I won't go." Eddie looked at Alexia in the cryo-chamber. This time, it was his turn to protect this queen.

"That won't do; you have to go. You might gain something by looking. The Caucasus branch must have produced something to hold this auction. It's beneficial for you to go and see, but next time, you should research something that allows underwater breathing, so even if you fall into the sea, you won't have to worry about not being able to breathe." Ada said with a smile.

Eddie looked at the cryo-chamber. "Wait until she comes out; I'll take her with me this time."

"Suit yourself. You've been cooped up at home for too long. Go out and get some fresh air. Don't worry about the temptations of the outside world; it's not that exaggerated. Don't fall behind the times, kid!" Ada finished her red wine, waved her hand, and left. She had been very sleepy lately, and the little one in her belly was always very active.

Ada actually advised her husband to go out and about, which wasn't unreasonable. Hermit-like research was fine, but only for an appropriate amount of time. Too long, and it wasn't just being a homebody, but falling behind.

In the cryo-chamber, Jill, Annette, and three members of Wolf Team—Karena, Christine, and Michaela Schneider—were all undergoing secondary reinforcement.

Two days later, the awakened Jill, after eating and drinking her fill, greeted her daughter Kailie. After making sure her daughter finished her meal, she re-entered the cryo-chamber for the third stage of reinforcement.

After the reinforcement was complete, she could choose to continue raising her child on the island or go out and continue her career fighting biochemical terrorism; everything was her own choice.

The third stage of reinforcement would take a relatively long time, involving complete restructuring. This restructuring would also grant them an additional ability: underwater breathing. The qualitative change in their muscles would allow them to dive to a depth of eight hundred meters without any equipment.

The limit for ordinary people is roughly between twenty and thirty meters; the deeper one goes, the greater the water pressure. The ears are a very fragile area, and forcefully descending could rupture eardrums, leading to deafness.

This shows the contrast between before and after reinforcement.

As for the difference from marine creatures, swimming speed had not increased; it remained at the human limit. It still couldn't reach the speed of an underwater motor. This was a biological structural issue; unless they became fish, it would be difficult to surpass the speed of fish in water.

Sienna and Caroline, who were originally collecting intelligence, also rushed back. What awaited them was the third stage of reinforcement. The women working outside this time had higher reinforcement sequences, also due to time constraints.

Eddie was a bit bored, fiddling with his fingers, occasionally discharging electricity. A faint electric glow could be seen flowing between his fingers, and the current could even attract small metallic objects.

This gave Eddie a new discovery: if he mastered the electrical properties well, wouldn't he be able to create a magnetic field? Electricity and magnetism are inseparable; wherever there is an electric current, a magnetic field will appear, differing only in strength.

Jessica was still playing the violin in the laboratory, her melodious music making one feel as if they were in a high-end restaurant.

Lisa, meanwhile, was looking at computer data, learning what a bodyguard should master, besides giving birth. She needed to understand some technical things, and currently, she was studying how to pilot airplanes and cruise ships.

One person couldn't control them, but with the help of tentacles, coupled with Veronica's control vine effect, it would be different.
