Chapter 293 - 293

It wasn't until the bullet hit a mass of air that a monster even larger than a Hunter was struck out of it. This Hunter was more robust and massive than the ordinary model, with an incredibly ferocious face. Its crimson eyes indicated that it was already out of control; this was a berserk monster!

Eddie's eyes flashed with a look of 'just as expected.' This was the product of a Hunter mixed with t-abyss, a brand new species: the 'Severely Wounded'! It was a Hunter with a fish-like appearance, and its special ability was to change its cells, allowing it to merge with its surroundings and become transparent.

"Dr. Eddie, we should retreat," a guard said as he walked over.

Excella still stood beside the man like a goddess, her high heels clicking, her arm linked with his. Don't forget, she was his lawfully wedded wife, a woman whose name was on the household register.

"No, you let the other representatives and Senators retreat first. I can provide good help here, go ahead." Eddie waved his hand and took out a cigarette. Excella snapped her fingers, helping the man light his cigarette.

"Wife, you go first. Go back to Command and take charge; they need you there," Eddie turned and said.

"Okay, husband, please be careful. I'll worry about you." Excella gently tidied the man's slightly disheveled collar.

"I'm fine, don't worry. It seems a new virus has appeared. I have to help develop a vaccine; it's what I should do, isn't it?" Eddie said righteously.

Click, the flash went off. Alyssa walked over in high heels, holding a camera. "Alright, today's headline is Dr. Eddie bravely researching a vaccine in Terragrigia amidst the rampant virus!"

Chapter 481: Magnetic Field Cheat, Stylish Retreat

The United Nations immediately took action, dispatching other BSAA members to Terragrigia to assist with the panic.

This greatly displeased General Morgan. He had gone through great pains to expand the power of the Federal Anti-Terrorism Committee. Now that the BSAA was coming, wouldn't they take away his credit?

Refusal was impossible, but General Morgan secured the highest Command authority. He demanded that all troops obey his Command, and he himself would conduct on-site Command in the city.

As the helicopters took off, the first transport helicopter was shot down mid-flight by a Stinger missile. The ferocious Nemesis appeared again; this was one of the few remaining products.

Compared to the Talos Tyrant, the Nemesis was more like an agent performing assassination missions, or a weakened version.

After shooting down the helicopter with one shot, the Nemesis hid in a civilian house, using its tentacles to kill the residents. It infected them, turning them into zombies to continue spreading panic.

Using the Nemesis for harassment rather than direct confrontation was the correct approach. An unseen shadow could cause greater panic.

Another helicopter ascended, and a rocket launcher once again blew the helicopter into wreckage.

The regional representatives inside were already dead, which caused most people to panic. The city was sealed off! They couldn't escape, even with helicopter support, they would be shot down.

The most terrifying thing was that they couldn't pinpoint the enemy's location at all. Where was the enemy? Who was the enemy?

Excella elegantly walked to the rooftop in high heels, where her dedicated armed helicopter was parked. The cockpit was empty; this was an unmanned aircraft developed by Alexia, controlled by artificial intelligence.

The regional representatives present looked at Excella cruelly. Two helicopters had already been shot down; did she still dare to leave by plane? Truly courting death!

Excella's lips curled into a disdainful smile as she looked at these men, none of whom had any courage. How many of those who came as representatives were important? Everyone knew this was just another Federation investment symposium.

Excella had no doubts about Eddie's instructions. She knew the man wouldn't let anything happen to her; he was very protective. Thinking of what Eddie had done in the past, Excella couldn't help but smile happily. Dangerous? Not dangerous at all.

Eddie used his magnetic field ability to quickly lift the helicopter and send it flying into the distance.

Then an exaggerated scene appeared: the helicopter Excella was on hadn't even gotten its propellers up to speed for takeoff. The helicopter inexplicably flew diagonally away, at an incredibly fast speed, so fast that even pants couldn't keep up.

A Stinger missile followed like a shadow, but halfway there, it exploded on its own. It couldn't hit the helicopter Excella was in; everything was futile.

The helicopter flew very fast, and two more Stinger missiles came from different directions. These small missiles had tracking devices and could accurately lock onto targets.

Boom! The two missiles deviated impossibly, colliding directly and causing a tragic sympathetic detonation.

This scene left everyone puzzled. Such an unscientific event had occurred; it seemed something was disturbing the missiles' flight paths.

Eddie kept the helicopter under control until it safely landed on a building thirty kilometers away, then he released his control.

After releasing the ability, he felt a bit dizzy; the energy consumption was too great.

"That's truly incredible, Dr. Eddie, what do you think?" A charming female voice came. Turning to look, it was indeed Ye Minzhi, the Shén Yà Pharmaceutical representative, in high heels and a cheongsam!

"It's normal. The helicopter has a device to disrupt missile flight. My wife's safety is definitely the top priority, isn't that normal?" Eddie said proudly.

"Then you should send a plane over to escort us out!" A Senator in strange clothes jumped out and shouted.

Eddie blew a smoke ring at the other party, his tone extremely dismissive, "Who do you think you are? Escort you? Do you want me to send you an alarm clock?"

"You! How dare you! I am Jieding, the Senator representative from South India. How dare you disregard our Great Indian Empire, you're courting death!" This Senator was like a comical clown.

"Oh, you're so amazing. Why don't you ask your region to send a fleet to pick you up? I won't accompany you. If you want to die, I can send you to your death anytime, right here and now!" Eddie scoffed.

"You!" Jieding hesitated to speak, the other party's gaze was too fierce. He felt as if he saw mountains of corpses and seas of blood, with countless monsters surrounding him.

The other party's abnormal reaction made Eddie a little puzzled. It seemed that he had inadvertently sensed some of the other party's thoughts; the other party was extremely fearful.

Was this an ability gained after his brain domain expanded to near its limit? It was somewhat unexplainable by science; could he instill fearful thoughts into an enemy's brain domain?

Eddie blew a smoke ring and returned to the operations meeting room. Ye Minzhi also followed, with her ever-present bodyguard, Alvara, HUNK's sister, behind her.

"Why are you following me?" Eddie raised an eyebrow.

Ye Minzhi hooked a charming smile. "It's safer to follow you."

"You're quite smart. Aren't you afraid I'll do something unfavorable to you?" Eddie grinned suggestively.

Ye Minzhi brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "I can't stop you. If you want, I won't object. The strong can dominate everything, can't they?"

This woman was very clever; instead of being coy, it was better to be straightforward. Said like that, Eddie lost interest; she should at least resist a little.

The Command room was originally a conference room, now serving as the temporary Command of the Federal Anti-Terrorism Committee.

General Morgan was assigning personnel to suppress riots in various areas and evacuate citizens. These were political assets; too many deaths would not benefit him.

After evacuating the citizens, then using the solar matrix satellite to raze the city to the ground, that would be the perfect plan.

"Dr. Eddie, we need you to develop a vaccine. This is for the sake of the broad citizenry, please don't refuse," General Morgan said after saluting.

"Of course, I can't do this work alone, and also, this costs money, remember to have someone transfer money to me." Eddie flicked his cigarette ash.

"That's natural, I will gather representatives to raise funds." General Morgan nodded. This was an opportunity to gain benefits, and he wouldn't miss it; even a landlord needs surplus grain.

Chapter 482: Queen of Balls Rachel as Bodyguard

In less than an hour, BSAA members arrived led by Chris. They needed to cooperate with the Federation Command to evacuate and rescue civilians.

Accompanying Chris was OBrien, known for his strategic mind, who came to assist General Morgan in formulating plans.

The entire Terragrigia was engulfed in panic. The city's area was not small, similar to a typical large city. It covered three hundred hectares, stretching endlessly into the distance.

The city's population was nearly seven hundred thousand, some of whom were fortunate displaced persons, but most were citizens from Europe and America. Many were elites and people of some means.

These citizens absolutely had to be rescued, otherwise the impact would be too great. Losing these elites all at once would severely hit economic development.
