Rowena had just finished eating when the doorbell rang
" ding dong"
"I'll go get it mom" she screamed to her mom who was in another room
When she got to the door she saw liora
'Hi! I didn't think you'd come this early'
"Well, this is a first time that I've come early so your response is correct and Darion's coming now he texted me right before I came here"
Rowena was looking at the thing liora was eating
Liora, catching her eye told her "oh, I got this from the bakery near my house not the one you are always rambling about "
"Well, I have a good reason to be rambling about it they gave me burnt bread, twice….."
Liora zoned out while Rowena kept talking about the burnt bread
But then liora felt it- the feeling like she was being watched
" your not even listening " Rowena complained
" yes I am I've heard about the burnt bread a million times till now " liora says
Rowena was about to complain " well-"
"BOO!"
Rowena screamed and liora almost collided with the door
A hand came out of a bush near Rowena's house and steadied liora before Alden emerged from the bush looking like he invented fear himself
"That was totally evil" Rowena accusingly said
" it was predictable " liora says
" predictable !, I hid there for 15 whole minutes " Alden said looking offended
" 15 minutes! Why would you stay in a bush for that long?' Rowena said
" persistency " Alden said smugly
Liora rolled her eyes but hid her smile
Rowena cleared her throat " let's go inside "
They went to her room and closed the door
" where's your brother?" Darion asked Rowena
" in his room probably gaming with his friends, and anyway why would you need him?" Replied Rowena
" he's the only one with a sense o f h u m o r "
Rowena rolled her eyes " sense of humor? I don't think you have any sense "
Darion faked an offended look
" guys-" liora cut in " aren't we here to try and solve a mystery ? Why are you guys arguing?"
" she has a point why are you arguing?"
Someone knocked on Rowena's door,' did someone say my name?'
Rowena murmured 'talk of the devil and the devil comes' and opened the door
'What do you want' Rowena asked him
'Nothing I just wanted to see what my sister and her-' he looked around her room '-friends were up to
'You know what we are up to, don't act like you're clueless' Rowena said annoyed
'Woah, cranky much' Darion added from inside the room
