Jay's POV
Morning sunlight hit my eyes, warm and blinding. I groaned softly and turned over — straight into Keifer. He was curled up beside me, one arm tucked under his head, messy hair falling over his forehead. For a second, I just stared. His face looked so peaceful, lips soft enough to make my fingers twitch. Without thinking, I reached out and brushed my fingertips over them.
"Wifey," he murmured, his voice low, teasing. "If you're gonna kiss me, just do it."
My eyes widened. "Gago! You were awake this whole time?"
"Profanity," he said with a grin, shifting closer until he hovered above me, his smile dangerous.
"Keifer, not now—"
The sound of my phone cut through the moment, loud and sharp. I groaned, reaching for it. THE DEMON (Kuya Angelo) flashed across the screen. Great.
"Good morning, Jay!" Kuya's voice was already raised. "Where are you? You should be at home — you're still healing!"
I winced, holding the phone away from my ear. "I'm sorry, Kuya. I'm at Keifer's place."
There was a pause. Then his tone dropped dangerously low. "Okay. Come home. But if that idiot touched you—"
"He didn't!" I interrupted. "I'll come home. Promise."
"Good. I will kill him."
He hung up, and I sighed, tossing the phone aside. I started to get up, but Keifer caught my wrist and tugged me back — right onto his lap.
"Keifer!" I scolded, pressing my palm against his chest.
"We're not done yet," he said, smirking before capturing my lips. What was supposed to be a quick kiss turned into something deeper, hungrier, our breaths tangling, fingers pulling. When we finally broke apart, we were both flushed and speechless.
"You're unbelievable," I muttered, hiding my red face as I slipped out of his arms and headed straight to the bathroom.
After showering, I realized my clothes weren't there. "Perfect," I whispered under my breath before calling out, "Keifer? Can you bring me something to wear?"
His voice came through the half‑open door, smug as ever. "Need help, wifey?"
"Just clothes!" I snapped.
He led me to his wardrobe — and when he opened it, I froze. One entire section was filled with women's clothes. My size. My style. All new, perfectly folded. Even undergarments neatly organized.
"What the hell, Keifer?" I asked, staring.
"Clothes," he said innocently.
"You bought these?"
"Obviously. You needed clothes," he said, looking far too proud of himself.
"How do you even know my size?"
He leaned closer, smirk darkening. "I have my ways."
I scoffed, snatching a a crop top and cargos before escaping his gaze. ( A/N check comments)
A few minutes later, we were in his car, heading to my house. The drive was quiet but comfortable — his hand resting on mine the entire time.
When we reached the mansion gates, I expected him to drop me off. Instead, he parked and got out too.
"Keifer, you don't have to—"
"I'm not letting you face The Demon alone," he said casually, walking around to open my door.
I tried not to smile, but the corners of my mouth betrayed me.
Together, we climbed the steps to my house. Kuya's car was already there, parked crookedly like he'd sprinted in. I took a deep breath, heart pounding, and turned to Keifer.
"You ready for this?" I asked, half nervous, half amused.
He grinned. "Always, wifey."
And just like that, he laced his fingers through mine and walked inside with me.
The warmth of his hand made me forget the tension waiting behind that door
