Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Bellis Perennis

"err...." I suddenly feel dizzy during my shift that my coffee eventually slip through my hands.

Everything starts to blur.

'I feel like I'm going to pass out.'

. . .

—thud—

as I adjust my eyes, a beam flashes through.

"Where am I?"

'I have no words to describe what I'm seeing right now...'

"What in the world!?!, so grand, everything looks like gold!!"

'I see a huge chandeliers with real gems!!, and a window seat tha—'

My vision darkens.

—rattles—

—blinks—

My body feels sore, as well as my left eye and I'm starting to feel numb. It feels like I'm being carried around by a trolley.

—rattles, thud—

"Wait... This isn't gold, this is the underground, a cave... a dungeon?"

"Wait no—... Wait what?"

—blinks—

—slaps—

"H-HOW DARE YOU!"

An unfamiliar woman appears in front of me. She's wearing such an elegant dress and a crown, she seems to be a Queen.

As I adjust my eyes, I notice that I'm holding a man's vest on my right and a flower on my left.

"What's happening, who—?"

"DON'T ACT SO CONFUSED!"

The sting of the slap lingers, burning against my cheek.

Everything starts to blur again.

This isn't a dream.

I finally realize what was happening I was able to recognize what flower I'm holding.

Nightshade, a small, bell-shaped flowers hang from thin stems, their petals is a soft purple that darkens at the edges.

"VELORA! What have you done?!"

'Are they talking to me..?'

"But I'm not Velora, I'm—"

Saki Hanamura, I work as a company worker. I have been trying to reach my ends meet.

I've been working for over 2 years now since my boss was the one who helped me with my financials as a kid to adjust with the big city life.

—stares—

"Are you interested in this too?" a female co-worker stare at me back.

"Do you read Medieval Fantasy too??" another female co-worker gasp.

I didn't realize I stared too much so I remained flustered.

They were flaunting about hoping a prince will save them from working too hard and live-in luxury that they recommended me a book to read hoping they'll have a male friend that would love a Medieval Fantasy story.

From that point I didn't realize I start to like it that I stumble upon reading a book myself, it's called "The Flowers are actually Fairies".

'Flowers are actually Fairies: The main character always win' is the full title of the story, sounds like a cliché, long girly fantasy romance, that you obviously know how it'll end but I eventually got hooked.

It started of as a brutal war for people driven by greed, lots of fire and destruction.

In order to obtain not only to get contract with the fairies but also their blood, that's where the Female Lead that has the power to control the flowers steps in, she is known as the one who'll save the fairies from harm.

She's able to create medical herbs that eventually help the nation's trades and eventually saved the fairies, additionally, flowers are the main source of the fairies which is why she has this OP mc buff.

Fairies have tons of abilities depending on what fairy comes to sign a contract with and, nobody actually knows what type of fairy you'll get.

As I read through the chapters every time I get home, I caught my eye looking for the villainess here whom only wanted to be together with the Crown Prince after being dump by the Duke from were she clung for power since no fairy wanted her and cause out of all the villains that died in the near ending of the chapters, the most tragic one would be her.

The villainess also has the same power as the female lead but cannot control her own powers well but for every poisonous flower she holds doubles its dosage, that's why she's considered to be a threat to the nation.

Since she's the daughter of the Duke Ferdinand, she was told to be secluded.

All I know is that she tried to poison the Crown prince and also the Queen by using the Nightshade and seen meeting the enemies secretly several times, she was then beheaded in front of the capital as punishment.

A power she probably didn't want and had no other choice.

'Only wanting to feel love.'

'After all the other villains actually got an easy way out by being stabbed by the chest and not humiliated, If I were her, I would've just ran away somewhere and not follow some random man.'

—knock, knock, knock—

—blinks—

"A-A dream?" I rub my eyes as I yawn.

"I read too much FAF (short for Flowers are actually Fairies) that I actually thought I was the villainess." as I stand up to grab a water, I'm really confused my water dispenser disappeared.

". . .?" I see myself wearing a long, flowing nightgown.

"Huh—" I stare so hard that I look for a mirror.

I see an unfamiliar face, a red haired girl with a delicate milk skin, with red eyes.

"Isn't this the face of the villainess Velora." as I try to hold the mirror I stumble when I realize its my own hand.

"I'm sorry but ME THE VILLAINESS IN THIS FANTASY STORY!?"

"Wait no, no, no. This must've been a dream."

—bonk—

I hit my head with a silver plater.

"Ouch!!"

"IT'S NOT WORKING!!!" a phase back and forth in panic.

'IS THIS WHAT THEY MEAN BY BE CAREFUL ON WHAT YOU WISH FOR!?'

"Wait hold up, which part of the story am I?" I pause myself for a moment.

"Do I really just have to accept the fact I'm now her!!?" I stare at 'my?' reflection again.

'Wait, aren't I forgetting something...'

...

"I'M A DUDE!!!"

—knock, knock, knock—

'Hiik!'

"Lady Velora, someone's looking for you." an unfamiliar muffled voice can be heard on the other side of the door.

"Yieees I just woke up so I'll come out in a sec..." I pinch my tone like a little chimpmunk hoping whoever's at the door knows its Velora.

"Lady? Are you oka—"

"Open the door!" ruffling sounds can be heard at the other side of the door, it seems to be another girl arguing.

'I F*cked up...' I start to sweat not knowing what to do.

'Should I just pretend to be dead? I don't know if the vision I saw is going to happen later on or whatever part of the chapter I am.'

'Sayonara familia.' I close my eyes as I accept my faith.
