"Why don't you try it first?" Alexander suggested warmly.
He had even bought a tub of popcorn before gently taking her hand to guide her toward the theater entrance.
This was the second time the two of them had gone to the movies together. This time around, Alexander had chosen an action blockbuster starring her brother, George Sin.
Taking two seats in the middle of the back row, they settled in, waiting for the trailers to end and the film to begin.
"How are things back at your office?" Evelyn asked softly, the first time she had ever inquired about his Company affairs.
Alexander smiled slightly, surprised by her question. "Everything is manageable... just the usual endless busywork." As for the messy political intrigue and power struggles, he saw no reason to burden her with those details.
Evelyn nodded silently, taking a piece of popcorn and chewing it slowly.
"I'll go back with you this afternoon."
