When we arrived at the hospital, the doctor barely touched my leg before I screamed in agony. White-hot pain shot through me, ripping a cry from my throat as tears pricked my eyes.
"Well that's no good," the asshole doctor muttered in a bored tone, completely unfazed. "Can I safely assume your pain is at a ten?"
I could barely nod. If I opened my mouth, I'd either vomit, curse him, puke—or maybe all three at once.
"Let's get him into X-ray immediately."

After the X-ray, they shot me up with something that dulled the pain and left me drowsy. I drifted in and out of consciousness before fully coming to in a private VIP hospital room.
When I inhaled deeply, I noticed it didn't hurt as much anymore.

I turned my head to the right and saw Lucas sitting there, scrolling on his phone.
Where's Lance?
"Hey." I croaked.
Lucas's head shot up instantly. "Little Shaman! How are you feeling?" He threw his phone on the side table and leaned closer to me.
