The space was soon dug, faster than they ever thought. Sunnie and the rest stood there staring and blinking, impressed.
"Wow, that was faster than I thought..." Little Black looked closer. "And it sure does look like a river space."
Sunnie smiled. "That's more like it."
The beavers were done with the finishing touches. They all crawled out of the hole and stood before them.
"They're asking what they need to do next," Little Black informed.
Sunnie folded her arms as she looked ahead and explained. She explained how they now needed to dig deep from a corner in the hole. One person would need to do it—digging deeper and deeper until they arrived at the right spot.
They would go through some things like dirty water and rock and all. Sunnie explained that after that, they would get to what was needed: the clean water that would flow upward and into the stream.
