The hyena had fired his arrow. But Sunnie was quick enough to toss a stick in that direction. The stick brushed the arrow off in another direction, preventing it from hitting the baby.
The baby still sat there, smiling and giggling at the scene as though nothing had happened. It probably didn't even know the gravity of what was happening right before her.
Sunnie gasped, letting out a sharp breath as she approached the baby. "Are you okay...?" She could quickly feel the connection as she picked up the baby in her arms, cuddling her warmly while patting her hair. "Are you okay...?"
The baby smiled in her arms, still giggling.
Sunnie let out a soft gasp of relief while she glared down at the baby. She couldn't help but smile.
