Sunnie scoffed as she rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Keep dreaming, then."
He smiled as he pulled her closer to rest on his chest while staring into the walls. "But I already have you. I have Luka and the rest... and everyone here now. I have this home now. So I think I'm already okay." He smiled. "I already have people who love and support me... people who genuinely make me happy now. So I guess I'll be fine. I don't have to think about those things."
Sunnie smiled with a nod. "That's good... that's good." The two of them lay cuddled there while staring into the distance, their thoughts running far.
Just then, Luka and Azure approached. Or rather, Luka was approaching.
Luka had had the most uncomfortable sleep yet where he had lain with the other beast husbands, so he wasn't happy at all. He made his way to the cave room with complaints.
