She turned to Lin Yu, unable to contain her own curiosity. "Little brother, what is the name of this game? Why haven't I heard of it before?"
Lin Yu smiled. He had prepared his answer while Guinaifen was preoccupied with the game. He didn't want to reveal himself as the developer just yet. Even with Newbie Protection, it only prevented strong entities from observing him; it didn't make him invincible. He needed to earn his "first pot of gold" to draw some self-defense abilities from the system.
"It's a newly released mobile game," he answered. "I only just saw it on the store a short while ago. The name is: Honkai: Star Rail."
As soon as he said the name, he checked the system. The back-end data showed that the downloads, which had been in the single digits, suddenly jumped to dozens. Then hundreds. Within thirty seconds, it had surged past a thousand!
That was the power of promotion! And the numbers were still climbing. Lin Yu's grin widened. This was his capital.
At that moment, Guinaifen waved to the camera. "Fam, Little Gui is ending the stream for today! This game is actually really fun! I'm going to download it on my own Jade Abacus and study it. Tune in tomorrow at the same time, and we can discuss our progress."
She moved to shut down the stream, clearly captured by the game's charm and eager to play it herself. However, the screen was immediately filled with protests.
—"Don't go, Little Gui! I can't play right now, I have to watch you!"

Her voice was quiet, but Lin Yu heard her. He said calmly, "It's fine. I think you're destined to have this account. I'll just give it to you. Look at the ID in the bottom right; it represents the order of registration. This one happens to be 10001."
"Oh, it really is," Guinaifen noticed. "Then, thank you."
Since there was a ready-made account, Guinaifen didn't stand on ceremony. She had already finished a bit of the story, so she might as well keep it instead of starting over.
However, the viewers in the chat were indignant.
—"The streamer just says 'thanks' and that's it? No way, right?"
—"I heard early game IDs are very valuable. There's a company called Penguin that even hypes up IDs for profit."
—"Streamer, show some social awareness. He brought you into the game and gave you the ID. You have to give him something in return!"
Lin Yu scanned the messages. He remained stoic on the outside, but inside, he was giving the viewers a massive thumbs up! This batch of viewers was so sensible! He loved them!
Guinaifen blushed. "I... I was planning to repay him! I was already going to thank him properly!"
