Earth. (Similar to our real world, with only the names of countries and cities changed.)
Country Veston. State Daren. City Nilo.
In the southern part of City Nilo stood an average residence, unnoticeable among the hundreds of houses and apartment buildings around it.
In the kitchen, a man in his mid-thirties sat reading a newspaper, dressed in formal clothes for the office. He was waiting for his wife to finish cooking so he could leave for work.
His wife, Shen, who took care of the children and managed the household, was preparing food for her family. Dressed in casual clothes, she had strikingly beautiful features. Though she was also in her mid-thirties, age had failed to leave marks on her skin, unlike her husband, Aven.
While cooking, she occasionally glanced at the stairs leading to the upper floor, waiting for her cute and lovable children to come down.
At the top of the stairs, a room door stood slightly open.
Inside the room, a little girl was sleeping soundly on her bed, carefree and at ease.
Though young, she had inherited every bit of her mother's beauty. However, her sleeping position at the moment was far from graceful. She was on the verge of falling off the bed, and just a slight movement could send her down.
At the same time, in the bathroom attached to the room,
A young teenager named Shuron stood in front of the mirror. Small droplets of water still clung to his face. He had just finished washing it.
He remained silent as he looked at his reflection, but his mind was busy deciding his next course of action.
"Okay… so now I know that I've come back 15 years in time. And I can't go back, even if I want to. This is my reality now. My situation."
"Though I want to know about my mom and sister after I disappeared from my previous world, I'm helpless. There's nothing I can do."
"Where they are now… which world, which timeline… I don't know. I can't reach them."
"And how I came here, I also don't know. Who did this? I don't know."
"Was it a god's mistake or a devil's prank? Do they have some plan for me? I don't know. But I'm not thankful. I never wanted this."
"But even if I find out who they are, what can I do? If they can send me here, they must be powerful. I can't do anything against them."
"Now I know that beings capable of changing space and time exist in this world. Though I'm shocked, it's not completely earth-shattering for me. Reading novels has made my imagination quite strong."
"Inside this vast universe, how can only humans exist? Just like that powerful being, there must be more mysteries out there. We humans simply haven't discovered them yet. And if those mysteries have already discovered us… I don't know. But one thing is certain—the being who sent me here knows about me and humanity."
"And what it wants by sending me here… I don't know."
"My situation now is similar to those protagonists in novels who travel back in time. But they all have some kind of golden finger or special power that makes them stand out."
"So where is my golden finger? Will the being who brought me here give me one?"
"What will be my power?"
"Will I get a system? And what kind?"
"A beast system? Or a check-in system?"
"When would I get it? A month later? A year later? Or will some event trigger it?"
"Will I even get one?"
"…No. Let's stop guessing for now. There's no point without any real information."
"And there's another possibility. It could be some artifact or ancient treasure that brought me here. But I can't see anything like that. There's nothing on my body… and I can't say anything about my soul."
"Anyway, forget that for now."
"Let's focus on the dream I had while waking up today."
"I didn't see anything in the dream. I only heard a voice. Was that the voice of the being or item that brought me here? And what did it say? Yes… it said something like, 'All things are possible… believe in yourself… become a pioneer…'"
"Though I understand the words, I don't know what they truly mean. It's a mystery. Does it represent something? What could it mean?"
"Hmm… I can't think of anything for now."
"Forget it. Let's just wait for my golden finger to appear. If I don't get anything within a month, I'll give up on the idea of a golden finger or any cheat and live normally with my family in this world."
"Even if this family isn't truly mine, they still belong to this body. I should live properly with them. It's my responsibility now."
"As for my family in the previous world… let's not think about them. I'm helpless. I don't even know their situation. There's nothing I can do except hope they are safe."
"If I keep thinking about them, I'll act strange around this family. I should focus on the people here. And this family…is complete. Dad is here."
After deciding to wait for his golden finger before making any further decisions, Shuron left the bathroom.
Returning to the room, he saw his sister still sleeping. He moved closer to wake her up. Climbing onto the bed, he reached out and placed his hand on her.
Just then, something unexpected happened.
Her body, already near the edge, slipped off the bed and fell down easily.
He reacted instantly, trying to catch her, but he wasn't fast enough. He could only watch as she fell and woke up in that same moment.
His expression turned awkward. He didn't know whether to feel amused or apologize for waking her like that.
Just then, his sister's voice reached his ears. Though soft and cute, her words were filled with anger.
"BROTHERRRR, WHY DID YOU PUSH ME DOWN?"
Shuron tried to explain that it was an accident and he hadn't done it on purpose. But Roxa only stared at him suspiciously, clearly not believing him.
As he was about to explain further, both of them heard voices from downstairs.
"Shuron, what happened?"
"Both of you, come down here now!"
The loud voices had drawn their parents' attention from the kitchen.
Hearing them, Shuron gave Roxa a wry smile. "First, it was an accident, so don't look at me like that. Second, go freshen up. I'm heading to the kitchen for breakfast. That's all."
After saying that, he moved toward the door. As he opened it, he called back, "I'm coming, wait."
Roxa, on the other hand, sat on the ground. She wasn't angry because of the fall, but because her sleep had been disturbed.
"Humph."
Seeing her brother leave, she simply huffed and chose not to dwell on it. Her sleep was already ruined.
She stood up and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
After getting ready, she left the room and headed to the kitchen. Her mother was cooking, her father was eating while reading the newspaper, and her brother was already there, talking about what had just happened.
She joined them. While eating, she scolded her brother for his mistake. Even though he apologized, she didn't forgive him and simply ignored it.
No one noticed any change in Shuron. He acted just as he had as a child—laughing, chatting, and joking. He had replayed scenes of his family being together countless times in his mind, and now that it was real, there was no awkwardness in him.
At that moment, he forgot that he was mentally a 27-year-old adult. The child within him, buried for years under responsibility, finally surfaced.
His eyes often drifted toward his father. Happiness filled his heart at the sight of him. He wanted to hug him, to feel his warmth again, but he held himself back.
Though his body was young, his mind had already hardened. Acting on that impulse felt strange, so he restrained himself. Seeing his father again was enough.
After breakfast, his father left for the office. His mother returned to her household work, and his sister went back to her studies.
