Friday night arrived faster than expected.
The school hall looked completely different—decorated with lights, balloons, and soft music filling the air.
Sharon stood outside, smoothing down her outfit nervously.
"You look amazing," Mia said.
"Thank you," Sharon smiled.
"Someone's going to be speechless tonight," Mia teased.
Before Sharon could respond, she heard a familiar voice.
"Hey."
She turned.
Dylan stood there.
And for a moment…
She forgot how to breathe.
"You look…" he started, then shook his head. "Wow."
Sharon laughed softly. "You don't look so bad yourself."
"Just 'not bad'?" he teased.
"Okay, you look good."
He smiled.
"Ready?" he asked, holding out his hand.
Sharon took it.
They walked into the hall together.
Music played, students danced, and laughter filled the room.
After a while, Dylan turned to her.
"Dance with me?"
Sharon nodded.
As they moved slowly to the music, everything felt calm.
Right.
Dylan looked down at her.
"Funny how things changed," he said.
"Yeah," she replied softly.
"From enemies…" he added.
"To this," Sharon finished.
They both smiled.
And as the night continued, one thing became clear—
This wasn't just a dance.
It was the beginning of something neither of them expected.
But both of them wanted. 💕📖
