Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

Agung didn't hesitate. The thought of a warm kitchen and a steady supply of fresh milk was too much to pass up. He tapped the "Buy Bundle" button, watching his credit balance drop to zero with a satisfying cha-ching sound.

Almost instantly, two new eggs appeared in the Hatchery's specialized climate-controlled pods. One was a sturdy, cream-colored egg with pink spots (Miltank), and the other was a smaller, hexagonal yellow egg that hummed with a faint vibration (Combee). In the corner of the Mansion's kitchen, a sleek, stainless-steel bread oven shimmered into existence alongside a jar of active starter yeast.

"Now we're talking," Agung said, wiping a smudge of city dust from his forehead. "No more sweeping for scraps. This is a real home."

He walked back to the Central Computer, his reflection in the marble floor looking a bit more like a Warden and a little less like a janitor. He cleared his throat. "Hey, System. I see all these biomes out there—the mountains, the graveyard, the deep sea. Are they just empty rooms waiting for me to fill them, or is there already something moving in the shadows?"

The screen flickered, and a map of the ranch expanded, showing the various biomes in glowing detail.

> [SYSTEM RESPONSE: ECOLOGY REPORT]

> Warden Agung, the Ranch is a living ecosystem.

> * Wild Pokémon: Yes, all habitats currently contain "Indigenous Wild Pokémon." These are untamed creatures that migrated here through dimensional rifts or were part of the sanctuary's original seeding.

> * Density: Currently Low to Medium. Without a Warden's care, wild populations remain stable but do not thrive or produce high-grade eggs.

> * Capture: You may use Poke Balls (like your Lure Ball) to catch these wild inhabitants. However, be warned: wild Pokémon in certain areas (like the Dark Caves or Jagged Mountains) can be territorial or aggressive.

> * Special Spawns: Occasionally, the System will detect a "Rift Signal," indicating a Rare or Shiny Pokémon has appeared in a specific biome for a limited time.

Agung leaned in closer, studying the map. "So, if I go for a walk in the Ancient Forest to look for those flowers the Combee like, I might run into a Beedrill or a Scyther?"

> [NOTIFICATION]

> Correct. The Ancient Forest currently shows activity from Bug and Grass types. The Crystal River where you found the shard is home to several schools of Magikarp and the occasional Psyduck.

Agung looked at his two new eggs. They would take time to hatch. He had a Lure Ball in his pocket, a Rare Candy in his inventory, and a vast, wild world right outside his front door.

"The eggs need a few hours," Agung mused. "Maybe it's time I did some 'patrolling' of my own. No broom this time—just a Lure Ball."
