Chapter 67 - back to the ruins village

You spent a calm, peaceful morning with everyone in the large house.

The survivors had slowly begun to smile again — the children played quietly in the garden, the elders helped prepare a simple but hearty breakfast of fresh bread, eggs, fruits, and warm tea. Miya sat right beside you, tail curled affectionately around your leg under the table. Lukas and Liora sat close together, occasionally sharing soft glances and small touches. The atmosphere was warm and healing.

You let the morning unfold naturally, enjoying the quiet normalcy after everything that had happened. No one rushed. No one spoke of revenge or gods. Just people sharing a meal together.

After breakfast, as everyone helped clear the table, you stood up and spoke clearly so the entire house could hear:

"It's been a week already. The survivors have rested and recovered enough. Let's head back to Eldenwood together — all of us. We will rebuild the village, make it stronger and safer than before, and relocate everyone there permanently if that's what they wish. This is your home again… and we will make sure no one can ever take it from you."

The survivors' faces lit up with a mix of joy, tears, and hope. The elders bowed deeply, and the children cheered softly. One little girl hugged Miya's leg, whispering, "We get to go home…?"

Miya smiled gently and ruffled the child's hair. "Yes. And we will protect it this time. Together."

Lukas nodded firmly. "I'm ready, big brother. I'll help rebuild it with my own power."

Liora stood beside him, determined. "I will assist in any way I can."

With everyone in agreement, you didn't waste time.

You snapped your fingers once.

All the survivors' belongings (clothes, supplies, toys, and everything you had given them) packed themselves neatly into floating storage orbs. The house's protective wards transferred with you. In a gentle swirl of starlight, the entire group — you, Miya, Lukas, Liora, and every survivor — teleported directly to the ruins of Eldenwood.

You reappeared at the edge of the Whispering Woods, overlooking what remained of the village.

The four otherworldly heroes were already there, working hard alongside a small team of volunteers they had brought. They had cleared some rubble, started basic repairs on the outer walls, and set up temporary shelters. When they saw you arrive with the survivors, they froze, then bowed deeply and respectfully — no arrogance left in them.

Kael stepped forward, voice steady. "Lord Grim… Cosmic Lord Lukas… we have begun the work as you commanded. The village is slowly coming back. We will continue until it's finished."

The survivors looked around at the ruins with sorrow, but also with renewed hope now that they were home again.

Miya's eyes softened as she took in the sight. "My lord… where do we start?"

Lukas cracked his knuckles, shadows already swirling eagerly around him. "Just say the word. I can rebuild the entire place in moments if you want."

The air smelled of pine and earth. The two suns shone down on the broken but not forgotten village.
