Chapter 77 - the discussion of shops

You and Lukas sat together on the balcony of the new central longhouse that morning, overlooking the growing settlement. The two suns were just rising, casting warm golden light over the fields where the new refugees and original villagers were already working together. Miya and Liora were inside preparing a light breakfast, giving the two of you space to talk as brothers and leaders.

Lukas leaned forward, his cosmic crown faintly visible, shadows curling thoughtfully around his fingers.

"Big brother… now that we have more people — over five hundred souls now — we need to make this place a real city. Not just homes and farms. We need shops. Different kinds of shops. Places selling fresh food, weapons and equipment, magic stones, potions, clothes… a proper blacksmith for tools and armor, clinics for healing. And most importantly — an Adventurers' Guild and a Merchant Guild. That way our people can find real jobs, earn their own coin, and outsiders will come here for business. Merchants will bring trade, adventurers will bring news and protection. It will grow faster that way."

You nodded, a small smile forming.

"You're thinking like a true ruler already, Lukas. You're right. A city needs life, jobs, and trade — not just protection. Let's make it happen."

You stood up and snapped your fingers once — a calm, deliberate motion.

Reality shifted across the entire settlement in moments.

New buildings rose smoothly from the ground along the main streets:

A row of colorful shops appeared — a bakery with fresh bread scents wafting out, an equipment store stocked with tools and weapons, a magic-stone shop glowing with enchanted crystals, a blacksmith forge with ringing hammers, several clinics with healing herbs and runes, clothing stores, potion shops, and more.

At the heart of the new district, a grand Adventurers' Guild building materialized — complete with quest boards, training grounds, and dormitories.

Right beside it, a stately Merchant Guild hall rose, with trading floors, storage warehouses, and offices for caravans.

The new structures blended perfectly with the existing stone-and-wood architecture, looking as if they had always belonged there. Runes of protection and prosperity glowed faintly on every building.

The villagers and new refugees stopped their work, staring in awe as the city expanded before their eyes. Cheers and excited murmurs spread quickly.

Lukas laughed softly, shaking his head in wonder. "Every time I think I've seen the limit of your power… you do something like this. Thank you, big brother. This will give everyone purpose — and bring more people here safely."

Miya stepped out onto the balcony, tail swishing with approval. "The city is truly coming alive now, my lord."

Liora smiled beside her. "Our people will have real lives here."

The four heroes (who had been helping with morning patrols) approached and bowed respectfully to Lukas.

"We will help manage the new guilds if you wish, Cosmic Lord," Kael said humbly. "We can train new adventurers and organize trade routes."

Lukas looked to you for final approval, clearly excited but still deferring to his big brother.

The growing city of Eldenwood now had the foundation for real economic life — jobs, trade, and growth.
