Chapter 34 - A Life Within Her”

The flashing red and blue lights painted the night in chaos.

Victoria stood frozen, her confidence completely shattered now. The same woman who once walked with pride now trembled as officers approached her.

"Put your hands where we can see them!"

"No… you don't understand—" she tried, her voice breaking.

But it was over.

Cold metal cuffs clicked around her wrists.

A few feet away, Luca didn't resist. He simply smiled—that same unsettling, dangerous smile—as if even now, he wasn't done.

"This isn't over, Alexander," he said calmly as the officers grabbed him.

Alexander didn't even look at him.

Because nothing mattered except—

Isabella.

🚑 The Ambulance

Inside the ambulance, everything felt suffocating.

Machines beeped.

Paramedics moved quickly.

"Her pulse is weak!"

Alexander sat beside her, his large hand gripping hers tightly, as if letting go would mean losing her forever.

"Isabella… stay with me," he whispered, his voice raw. "You promised me… you said you'd never leave me."

No response.

Her face looked pale. Too pale.

And for the first time in years…

Alexander felt completely helpless.

🏥 At the Hospital

The moment they arrived, she was rushed into the emergency room.

"Sir, you need to wait here."

The doors shut in his face.

Just like that.

Alexander stood there, frozen.

Time passed—but it didn't feel real.

Minutes stretched into something unbearable.

His mind replayed everything—

Her smile.

Her laughter.

Her voice saying "I love you."

His chest tightened painfully.

"This is my fault…" he muttered. "I let her go…"

For once, the powerful Alexander Reyes looked broken.

⏳ The Wait

Hours later…

A doctor finally walked out.

Alexander was on his feet instantly.

"How is she?"

The doctor gave a small, reassuring nod.

"She's stable now."

Alexander exhaled sharply, like he had been holding his breath for hours.

But the doctor wasn't done.

"There's something else…"

Alexander's brows furrowed.

"What is it?"

The doctor hesitated slightly—then smiled.

"Congratulations."

Silence.

Alexander blinked.

"I'm sorry… what?"

The doctor's smile widened.

"She's pregnant."

💥 The Moment Everything Changed

The words didn't register at first.

Pregnant.

Isabella…

Carrying his child.

Alexander stood completely still.

Then slowly—

Shock melted into realization.

Realization turned into something deeper.

Stronger.

Happiness.

Pure, overwhelming happiness.

"She's… pregnant?" he repeated, his voice softer now.

"Yes," the doctor confirmed. "She likely collapsed due to stress, exhaustion, and early pregnancy symptoms. But both mother and baby are okay."

Mother.

Baby.

Alexander ran a hand through his hair, letting out a breath that almost sounded like a laugh.

A child.

His child.

With her.

For a moment, the world felt different.

Lighter.

Brighter.

Like everything finally made sense.

💖 Seeing Her Again

When he was finally allowed into the room, his steps slowed.

Isabella lay on the bed, peaceful but fragile.

Alexander walked closer, his expression softening completely.

He reached out, gently brushing her hair back.

"You scared me," he whispered.

Her fingers moved slightly.

Then—

Her eyes fluttered open.

"Alex…" she murmured weakly.

Relief hit him instantly.

"I'm here," he said quickly, holding her hand. "I'm right here."

She looked at him, confused.

"What… happened…?"

"You're safe," he said. "That's all that matters."

She blinked slowly, then whispered—

"I was so scared…"

Alexander leaned closer, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.

"I know. I'm sorry. I should have never let you go."

💎 The Reveal

She looked at him again.

"Why are you smiling…?" she asked softly.

He chuckled lightly, unable to hide it.

"There's something you need to know."

Her brows furrowed slightly.

"What is it?"

Alexander took her hand and placed it gently on her stomach.

His voice dropped—soft, emotional.

"You're pregnant."

Silence.

Isabella froze.

"…What?"

"You're carrying our child," he said, his eyes locked on hers.

Tears instantly filled her eyes.

"A baby…?" she whispered.

He nodded, smiling.

"Our baby."

A tear slipped down her cheek.

This time—not from fear.

But from overwhelming emotion.

"I… I didn't know…" she said, her voice shaking.

Alexander leaned down, resting his forehead against hers.

"Neither did I," he admitted softly. "But I've never been this happy in my life."

💞 A New Beginning

Isabella let out a small laugh through her tears.

"I was wondering why I felt so tired all the time…"

Alexander smiled gently.

"You're not allowed to stress anymore," he said. "No more work. No more worries."

She looked at him, amused.

"Bossy…"

"Protective," he corrected.

She squeezed his hand.

"I'm happy," she whispered.

Alexander looked at her—really looked at her.

The woman he loved.

The woman carrying his child.

His future.

"I'm more than happy," he said quietly. "I have everything now."

He leaned in and kissed her softly—this time not with urgency, not with desperation—

But with love.

Deep.

Certain.

Unbreakable.

🌅 Ending

Outside the hospital room, the world continued as usual.

But inside…

Everything had changed.

Because what started as danger and fear…

Had become something far more powerful.

A new life.

A new beginning.

A forever they never saw coming.
