Chapter 52 - Her First Day

Her First Day

The morning came faster than expected.

Sunlight slipped gently through the curtains, resting softly on the bed where Isabella lay.

But she was already awake.

She hadn't slept much.

Not because of fear.

Not because of danger.

But because of excitement.

And a little bit of nervousness.

Today was important.

Very important.

She turned her head slightly, looking at the small figure sleeping peacefully beside her.

Their daughter.

Curled up under the blanket, hugging her pillow tightly, her tiny face relaxed and innocent.

Isabella's lips curved into a soft smile.

"My baby is growing up…" she whispered.

Her heart swelled.

Pride.

Love.

A little bit of sadness.

Because moments like this—

They reminded her how fast time moved.

A Nervous Morning

"Mama…"

A sleepy voice broke the silence.

Isabella blinked and looked down.

Their daughter stirred slightly, rubbing her eyes.

"Is it today?" she asked softly.

Isabella smiled warmly.

"Yes, baby. It's today."

For a second—

There was silence.

Then suddenly—

She sat up.

"TODAY?!"

Isabella laughed.

"Yes, today."

The little girl jumped out of bed immediately.

"I'm going to school!"

Her excitement filled the room instantly.

But then—

She paused.

Slowly.

"Mama…"

Isabella noticed the change immediately.

"Yes?"

Her small hands tightened slightly.

"What if they don't like me?"

That question—

Soft.

Innocent.

But it hit deep.

Isabella's heart softened instantly.

She stood up and walked over, kneeling in front of her.

"Hey…" she said gently.

She held her hands.

"They will love you."

"How do you know?"

Isabella smiled.

"Because you're kind."

"You're smart."

"And you're amazing."

A pause.

"And if someone doesn't like you…"

She leaned closer.

"That's their loss."

A small smile appeared on the little girl's face.

"Really?"

"Really."

Daddy's Entrance

"I agree."

A deep voice came from the doorway.

They both turned.

Alexander leaned casually against the doorframe, already dressed in a sharp suit—but his eyes soft.

"Anyone who doesn't like my daughter…"

He stepped forward slowly.

"Clearly has a problem."

Their daughter giggled.

"Daddy!"

He walked over and lifted her into his arms.

"Ready for your big day?"

She nodded quickly.

"I'm excited!"

Then she leaned closer.

"But also a little scared…"

Alexander's expression softened immediately.

He kissed her forehead.

"That's normal."

"Really?"

"Even I get nervous sometimes."

She gasped.

"You do?!"

Isabella laughed softly.

"Don't believe him too much."

Alexander smirked slightly.

"I'm serious."

He looked at his daughter.

"But being brave doesn't mean you're not scared."

A pause.

"It means you do it anyway."

She blinked.

Then nodded slowly.

"Okay…"

Getting Ready

The house was filled with energy.

Outfits laid out neatly.

Shoes polished.

Hair brushed carefully.

Isabella helped her get dressed in the outfit she picked the day before.

A soft, elegant dress.

Simple.

Beautiful.

When she finished—

She stepped back.

And froze.

"You look…"

Her voice caught slightly.

"So beautiful."

Their daughter spun around happily.

"Do I look like a princess?"

Alexander, standing nearby, nodded without hesitation.

"The most beautiful one."

She beamed.

The Drive

The car ride was quiet at first.

Their daughter sat in the back, looking out the window.

Watching everything pass by.

New streets.

New places.

New life.

Her hands rested on her lap.

Nervous again.

Isabella reached back gently, holding her hand.

"You're okay."

She squeezed it slightly.

Alexander glanced at them through the mirror.

His heart softened.

This—

This was what mattered.

Arrival

The school stood tall.

Clean.

Bright.

Full of life.

Children everywhere.

Parents talking.

Teachers welcoming.

Energy filled the air.

Their daughter froze slightly.

"There's so many people…"

Isabella knelt beside her again.

"And soon… they'll be your friends."

Alexander stepped out of the car.

Then walked around to open her door.

He offered his hand.

"Ready?"

She hesitated.

Then slowly—

She took it.

The First Step

They walked inside together.

Hand in hand.

But as they reached the entrance—

She stopped.

Her grip tightened.

"Mama…"

Isabella leaned closer.

"Yes?"

"Will you stay?"

That question…

It hit differently.

Isabella smiled gently.

"We'll be right here."

Alexander added softly—

"Always."

She nodded slowly.

Then took a deep breath.

And stepped forward.

Alone.

A New World

The classroom was bright.

Colorful.

Full of small chairs and tables.

Children sat in groups.

Talking.

Laughing.

She stood at the door for a moment.

Watching.

Unsure.

Until—

"Hi!"

A small girl walked up to her.

Smiling.

"Are you new?"

She nodded slowly.

"Yes…"

"I'm Lily!"

A pause.

"Want to sit with me?"

Her eyes lit up slightly.

"Okay…"

And just like that—

The fear began to fade.

Outside

Isabella and Alexander stood quietly.

Watching through the window.

Their daughter sitting.

Talking.

Smiling.

"She's doing it…" Isabella whispered.

Alexander nodded.

"She's stronger than we think."

She leaned slightly into him.

"She got that from you."

He shook his head slightly.

"No…"

He looked at her.

"She got that from you."

Her heart melted.

A New Chapter

Inside the classroom—

Their daughter laughed softly.

For the first time—

She wasn't just their little girl.

She was… growing.

Learning.

Becoming.

And outside—

Two people watched.

Proud.

Happy.

In love.

Because this—

This was what everything had been for.

Not power.

Not money.

But moments like this.

A simple beginning.

A new life.
