Chapter 42 - Ultramarine Daemon?

Vashtorr, the Master of the Soul Forge, was still forging weapons for other daemons.

He had a grand plan, which was to become an entity on par with the Four Chaos Gods.

For this purpose, he had been operating in the realm of malicious craftsmanship for many years.

He even had other Chaos daemons under his command, and he even had some that belonged to the Greater Daemons of the Four Chaos Gods.

It could be said that using other Chaos daemons as pawns was Vashtorr's idea.

Treating daemons as laborers was his goal.

Vashtorr even once believed that only he had the strength to make daemons from other realms work for him, except for the Lord of Change.

However, it wouldn't be long before Vashtorr would meet his "big daddy."

As his soul forge sizzled, Vashtorr realized, his hard-earned base, Forest Star, had actually been stolen!

A large number of Fallen Angels suddenly appeared at his spawn point.

They bore the marks of The Cursed One and launched a fierce assault on other areas of Forest Star.

His hell-beasts were slain by these skilled knights, and the profane machines and daemon engines stockpiled there were banished by these knights wielding holy swords!

A mere thousand people dared to be so presumptuous, they simply didn't take him seriously!

"Foolish invaders, you know nothing of divine technology!"

"Since you have come, then die under my latest developed daemon engines!"

That soul furnace, constantly spewing flames, was forging Vashtorr's body.

Originally, he didn't want to descend into the material universe so quickly, but now that the Primarch of the First Legion had come knocking, Vashtorr, who considered himself capable of becoming the next Chaos God, naturally had to go meet them.

Vashtorr intended to use the daemon engines and daemon titan cannon in his warehouse to meet these invaders.

As a result, he took one look at the warehouse and discovered that those powerful daemon titan cannons had already been borrowed by Khorne Daemons.

Come to think of it, the daemons from Khorne's side could be considered long-time customers of Vashtorr.

Normally, for the sake of war, they were relatively trustworthy.

Some time ago, the daemon titan cannon he forged had been ordered by a Khorne Daemon.

Come to think of it, that Khorne Daemon still hadn't come over yet...

I don't know what's wrong with that guy, is he trying to default on the debt?

[Caleb: Your creditor might be a bit dead.]

Looking at this profane battlefield, even Caleb, who was gradually adapting to the power of Chaos, couldn't help but feel that this battlefield was truly disgusting.

Everywhere were scenes of tentacles intertwined with metal; those profane daemon engines would even grow all sorts of twisted flesh.

These daemon engines were originally manifestations of the Warp's distortion, and through repeated abuse of technology, they gradually became twisted and hideous.

Even on the gameboard, these daemon engines could emit their own roars.

Near the monastery beacon where Lion was located, the Angels of Absolution had constructed a seemingly solid defensive line.

However, on this planet full of distortion and mutation, there was no such thing as a defensive line.

The trenches you dug could Warp at any moment, the tools in your hands could grow tentacles and mutate at any time.

Here, everything felt chaotic, even barriers made of concrete could grow tentacles and walk away on their own.

"What the hell is this!"

As the Commander of this battle, Zabriel was almost sickened to the point of vomiting by this planet.

Is this hellhole really our home?

It felt like every inch of land in their home held hostility toward these angels.

They hadn't even killed many enemies yet, and they were already in bad shape from the things in their own home.

If it weren't for the weapons blessed by the God-Emperor, every soldier would have died three times in just that intense battle.

"Can't even construct a defensive line?" Caleb muttered repeatedly beside the gameboard.

He saw many absurd scenes and knew that it was very difficult to construct a defensive line on the surface of this planet.

"This won't do!"

"It seems I have to wrong the Emperor a little; perhaps I need to support them in another way!"

Caleb took out a water cup, then took out the Emperor statue, and soaked his feet in the water.

Since the Emperor's foot bath water could create holy relics, wouldn't splashing the foot bath water directly down purify the land?

Thus, Caleb used a paper towel to wipe the Emperor's shoes.

Then he put this foot bath water on the gameboard.

[Activating skill: Designate]

[Please input the entry you need!]

[Caleb: You are holy water blessed by the Emperor; you have been tainted by the Emperor's bath water and can purify the land!]

[Player has completed the Designate item. Using this item will occupy 50 deployment points for a short time.]

Caleb splashed the holy water in his hand without hesitation, and the Angels of Absolution, who were still fighting hard, immediately felt like they were receiving sweet dew from heaven.

The sky, which was originally raining frost, suddenly rained sweet dew, and golden raindrops sprinkled onto the ground, bringing purification.

The fortresses that had grown legs and were preparing to run away were immediately purified by these holy raindrops.

Those solid fortresses shimmered with golden light, as if they were positions blessed by the God-Emperor.

[Emperor: Can it be played like this?]

Watching someone play tricks with his foot bath water, the Emperor also began to silently accumulate experience, intending to do the same in the future!

Sure enough, that mysterious existence was simply a genius.

The Emperor didn't even know his own foot bath water was so stylish!

Watching the golden raindrops hit their armor, the Angels of Absolution, who were still fighting hard, couldn't help but look up at the sky.

To get showered by this holy water, they took off their hoods, when a ray of sunlight shone on their armor.

Their hearts felt a long-lost tranquility!

"It is the Emperor's blessing!"

A company Librarian shouted, his psychic powers also allowing him to see the essence of certain things, so he quickly understood that this was the Emperor's holy water!

Everyone's hearts were moved, because they had never received the Emperor's blessing so tangibly before!

"Praise the Emperor!"

"For Lioness, for the Emperor!"

Without too much hesitation, all the warriors took their weapons and launched a counterattack against the enemy.

Those profane daemon engines couldn't even step into this sanctuary.

Once these daemon engines moved into this holy realm, they would not only suffer from the erosion of the holy water.

They would also suffer continuous strikes from God-blessed weapons.

"It can still be like this?"

Vashtorr had learned something new; indeed, the power of The Cursed One was just so unreasonable.

He had heard many legends about The Cursed One from the Four Chaos Gods.

However, as a pawn, he had never actually faced this power.

Vashtorr silently took out the bill; it was time to summon other daemons to work for him.

Now he had quite a few soul contracts of daemons on hand, as long as some daemons owed him a debt, they had to repay it through certain events.

Come to think of it, there was a Chaos daemon named Kuves who had owed him a debt.

Before, when he was corrupting worlds, he had asked him to forge plague machines.

Obviously, summoning him directly at this point in time was the most reasonable choice.

He set up a magic circle on the ground and used the soul contract in his hand to summon this daemon.

"For Ultramar!"

[Vashtorr:???]

When this blue lump appeared on his gameboard, Vashtorr was confused.

Then the shout the other party let out left Vashtorr stunned.

Why would a daemon say something ghostly like "For Ultramar"?

What does a Great Unclean One like you have to do with Ultramar?

After Kuves came out, he first looked left and right at the surroundings, then immediately took out a large bell and gave the surrounding daemon engines a violent beating!

He rang the large bell happily, and while ringing it, he was still roaring loudly.

"For Ultramar, for Macragge!"

"I am an Ultramarine!"

"The quiet Garden does not need you dirty guys, get out of here!"

Vashtorr: "Not right!"

Looking at the reckless brute summoned before him, jumping and hitting things in his own home.

Vashtorr couldn't bear to watch anymore.

To prevent the other party from continuing the destruction, Vashtorr pointed to the distance and ordered him.

"You should work for me properly and kill my enemies with all your might!"

"Not elbowing teammates here!"

"Great Unclean One Kuves!"

"I command you to kill those Dark Angels!"

Vashtorr wanted to use his soul contract to bind the other's essence.

However, at this moment, Kuves, holding the large bell, also very politely took out his own soul contract.

It wasn't the big mouth above that spoke, but the big mouth below.

A huge crack split open on his belly, and then Kuves pointed to the treaty above and said.

"You asked Great Unclean One Kuves to work for you, what does that have to do with me, the Great Daemon of Macragge?"

"Although the true name and ID on it are indeed the same, our units are not the same!"

Vashtorr:???

Vashtorr had an expression like he had seen a ghost; in this Warp, he had never heard of any Greater Daemon rebelling against their own patron god.

Of course, it was very likely that Vashtorr himself lacked experience; in fact, things like one's own Greater Daemon stabbing their own patron god hadn't never happened.

"For Ultramar!"

"I'm going to blast you away!"

Vashtorr, whose debt had inexplicably disappeared, was thus hit hard by a bell.

Fortunately, he was at least a demigod; a mere Greater Daemon was not enough to destroy him!

Many parts on his body were knocked off, and his own reorganization plan was interrupted by this sudden Great Unclean One.

No, now this guy should be called the Great Daemon of Macragge.

I don't know what's going on with this blue Great Unclean One.

This guy actually got infected with Ultramar?

Could it be that Ultramar has some artifact that can enslave daemons?

Just as Vashtorr was preparing to wage a great war with this Greater Daemon.

The Dark Angels, who had been feeling pressured, suddenly felt the pressure ease.

A large pile of daemon engines that were originally there suddenly stopped in front of them.

They looked into the distance along the flood of daemon engines.

Immediately, all the Angels of Absolution saw an extremely abstract scene.

In the distance, a huge blue mountain of flesh was fighting with Vashtorr's daemon engines.

That blue daemon looked exactly like a Great Unclean One, and was shouting "For Ultramar!"

The battle between the two sides was extremely fierce, although the huge mountain of flesh was gradually losing the upper hand, everyone could still see that this was a very abstract ally.

[Caleb: What are you looking at? That's an ally, hurry up and help!]

[He is an Ultramarine, you can just treat him as one of Guilliman's brats!]

Finally, under Caleb's command, these angels went up.

Although these Angels of Absolution were extremely reluctant to fight alongside this Great Unclean One.

But with such a huge meat shield like a Titan in front, the whole battle was indeed much easier to fight.

"What are you doing coming in here?"

Little Lion was guiding the Dark Angels here in the endless fog.

This was a matter that required concentration, and he didn't want this process to be interrupted by his children.

"Um, Lord Primarch!"

"There is someone claiming to be a soldier of Guilliman who wants to see you!"

"However, I want to tell you in advance, you might need to prepare yourself mentally. Although he claims to be a soldier of the Ultramarines, he looks a lot like a Great Cleanser!"

"Hmm?" Lion heard this, full of question marks.

When he saw that huge blue mountain of flesh trying to squeeze in.

The kitty was almost scared into a stress reaction!

"Ahhh!"

Lion even briefly put down the guidance device, and wearing his skirt armor, he was completely bristling!

He held his sword and shield, wary of this huge mountain of flesh.

Although he was confident he could deal with the other party, this would undoubtedly cause huge trouble for his guidance work!

"Zabriel!"

"What kind of living ancestor did you bring me?"

"Why did you bring a Chaos Greater Daemon in? Are you a traitor?"

"No!" Zabriel still wanted to quibble, but Lion's flying kick didn't allow him to quibble.

Before Zabriel could explain clearly, his figure had already been kicked away by his own good mommy.

He rotated 360 degrees in the air and then fell heavily to the ground.

Immediately after, Caleb's voice reached Lion's ears.

[Caleb: He is indeed Guilliman's soldier, at least for the time being!]

[His cognition has been permanently twisted; he has always believed he is an Ultramarine!]

Kuves kept scratching his body, and the huge maggots that fell off actually bore the Ultramarines' mark.

[Lion: What kind of joke is this!]

[Father, I believe you can capture a Greater Daemon, but Guilliman definitely doesn't have this ability!]

[Caleb: Don't worry about so much for now, you just need to know that this is an ally!]

Looking at this huge mountain of flesh in front of him, doing clean and hygienic things.

Lion suddenly felt that his father's foul foot odor didn't seem so hard to accept anymore.

Because the appearance of this huge mountain of flesh had already caused his nose to malfunction.

That malicious aura and stench, had completely crashed his olfactory system.

"Loyal warrior, you go out first!"

"I will let you see Guilliman later, of course, I hope he doesn't break down!"

"Oh, really?" Kuves shook his bell and smiled happily!

He still carried some of Nurgle's will on his body, but compared to malicious corruption and viruses, this guy was truly a Great Cleanser in the true sense.

"I am the most powerful Ultramarine!"

"It is indeed time to meet the Primarch, that's right, that's right!"

Watching the huge mountain of flesh slowly go out, Lion felt a discomfort in his heart like he had eaten shit.

Thinking about having to be teammates with this kind of thing, Lion felt incomparably dark in his heart.

Although Dad said he had evolved this guy, the pile of dung left behind seemed still hard to clean up!

"I really want to die!"

Lion looked up at the ceiling, then couldn't help but mutter to himself.

"Dad's taste is too heavy, he can even charm this kind of thing, that's really amazing!"

[Emperor: That's not right, my daughter is spreading rumors!]

[This clearly has something to do with Guilliman, what does it have to do with me?]

The miserable Guilliman was inexplicably caught in the crossfire, however, the journey of this Great Cleanser who firmly believed himself to be an Ultramarine had just begun.
