Syl's heart was full of questions, but she couldn't show it now. She just smiled at Pasha, trying her best to appear friendly.
"Thank you, Your Excellency Saintess of Hope."
Pasha reacted quickly, adjusting her emotions and continuing with feigned surprise, "I am so surprised. You are much more beautiful than in the photos... please forgive my lack of words. May Wisdom walk with you."
This set of reactions looked like a normal encounter with a high-ranking figure from another church, appearing a bit clumsy due to nervousness.
"May the goddess of hope bless you." Syl also smiled and gave Pasha a salute, asking, "What are you all doing? Why are so many people heading towards the South District?"
"Perhaps some clues were found, but I'm not quite sure of the details," Pasha said truthfully, scratching her head.
After all, they were both from Orthodox Churches, and the other party was a top-tier figure in one. Pasha didn't think there was anything wrong with revealing information to the Saintess of Hope. No one would think a Saintess of an Orthodox Church would know that Green-haired Woman—they were completely unrelated.
"Oh... may the goddess of hope be the guide," Syl had originally intended to say let the goddess of hope be the guide for them, but realizing the person in front of her was not from the same religion, she felt it might be inappropriate. So she changed her words, "be the guide for Ibiza out of its confusion."
"Is something wrong with the Ivisa District?" Pasha asked subconsciously.
Then Pasha realized she had asked too much and quickly added, "I didn't mean to pry."
"Uh..." Syl was a bit confused by Pasha's attitude. She asked curiously, "Don't you think the people of Ibiza live in too much poverty?"
"Too much poverty? Hmm... maybe?" Pasha said uncertainly. "Perhaps it's related to not being diligent enough? If they study hard, they might be able to live a better life... after all, studying is truly a tiring thing."
Pasha's words suddenly reminded Syl of a fitting phrase from her past life—'Why don't they eat meat porridge?'
Perhaps church personnel who were born into monasteries or academies had never experienced poverty; their lives were peaceful and fulfilling.
Never having been poor, never having experienced the despair of poverty, they couldn't understand the feeling of being in an abyss, trying to climb up while countless hands tried to pull you down.
Diligence? Studying hard? When even basic food and shelter are problems, and one is exploited by labor from a young age, where would the time to study come from?
Syl didn't speak up to refute Pasha's words. This prejudice was deep-rooted, at least in Suramar. Syl couldn't change anything for now.
Syl guessed that the only reason the Church of the Goddess of Hope came to help was that the Monastery of Hope mostly recruited poor orphans.
Only those who have truly experienced that kind of poverty can empathize with the lower class.
"Perhaps you're right, but I want to do what I can to help them live a bit better," Syl said with a smile. "I won't disturb your shift any longer, lovely girl. I'm leaving now."
"Alright... May your rationality persist." Pasha offered the highest blessing of the Church of Generosity and Wisdom to Syl, then raised her right hand, clenched her fist, and placed it horizontally between her eyebrows in a church salute.
After watching Syl's figure disappear at the end of the street, Pasha finally snapped out of it.
"The Saintess of Hope... she's too naive and kind," Pasha sighed to herself, thinking, "If she weren't church personnel, I might have liked her and become friends with her."
No one dislikes someone with a pure and kind heart. At least from the conversation just now, Pasha was certain of this and prepared to report this trait to the organization.
"But now... I also have to see what exactly happened over there." Pasha looked at the place where green light spots were floating in the air, frowning slightly.
If they had found that Green-haired Woman, Pasha might even have to find an opportunity to save her at the risk of exposing her identity. After all, this was the person the organization said to contact at any cost.
Because she and that Silver Crow both belonged to the same mysterious hidden organization, they could only contact that organization through them now.
