Chapter 120 - Chapter 119 Someone Came Looking

Although she was a bit puzzled, Melanie still obediently closed the door.

It was better not to defy Leticia at this time. Having spent so much time with Leticia, Melanie had finally figured out her temperament. For instance, in the situation just now, Leticia absolutely would not have accepted her help.

However, she also didn't leave. Instead, she restrained her presence and stood quietly outside the room, listening intently to the various movements coming from inside.

If any problem arose, she would immediately open the door and enter the room.

Leticia, of course, didn't know that Melanie was still standing at the doorway. She watched Melanie close the door, and as her presence gradually faded, she thought that this annoying person had truly left.

Lifting the blanket, Leticia carefully got out of bed. Compared to yesterday, her condition today was much better, and walking these few steps was completely fine.

Although her body was a bit weak, it wasn't to the point where she couldn't walk at all.

One step, two steps, three steps; she leaned against the wall and slowly walked to the side of the light switch.

Click, the room darkened.

The artificial light source was turned off, but the natural light source was still inappropriately forcing its enthusiasm into Leticia's room.

Still have to go pull the curtains, she thought.

Thinking this, Leticia laboriously walked step by step to the window and pulled the curtains shut.

Now the room was completely shrouded in darkness.

Next, it was time to go back to bed and happily drift off to dreamland.

Just a few more steps, it's very simple, there definitely won't be any problems, right?

That's what Leticia thought, but her body didn't think so.

It seemed that her physical exertion for the day had reached its limit. Just when she was only a few steps away from the bed, Leticia's legs suddenly went weak.

Damn it.

Watching the floor getting closer and closer, Leticia instinctively tried to mobilize her magic power, wanting to cast a spell to steady her body.

But she clearly forgot that she was still in the recovery period.

For a period of time after burning her blood, until the blood she burned was replenished, Leticia had no magic power in her body.

Therefore, her effort failed.

Thud!

Without any surprise, Leticia fell.

Lying quite disheveled on the cold floor, Leticia's heart was as cold as the floor; she really hadn't expected herself to be so weak that she would fall after walking just a few steps.

"Are you okay..." Hearing the sound, Melanie immediately pushed open the door and walked in.

Then, she saw Leticia lying on the floor, only a few steps away from the bed.

Looking again at the darkened room, Melanie only had to think for a moment to know what Leticia had just been doing: turning off the lights, pulling the curtains, and then having an accident while returning to bed.

"Get out, get out!" Leticia tried hard to make herself crawl up from the floor, but her body felt as if it had been burned out, completely unable to muster any strength. In her shame and annoyance, she shouted at Melanie.

Losing face like this in front of Melanie, she would literally die of shame.

"This time, it's better if I don't listen to you." Melanie ignored Leticia's murderous glare and quickly came to her side. "Wouldn't it have been better to just tell me about such a small matter? In your physical condition, it really isn't suitable to get out of bed without someone taking care of you."

As she spoke, she gently picked Leticia up from the floor. The girl's weight was very light, almost negligible for a Sword Saint.

Soft, warm; the feel of holding the black-haired girl was quite nice, and Melanie subconsciously held her a little tighter.

"Let me go!" Leticia was still struggling, but she couldn't resist Melanie at all right now. "I'm going to kill you, I'll kill you!"

"Before you kill me, focus on getting your body healthy first." Melanie didn't indulge in this wonderful sensation; she just deliberately slowed her pace, increasing the time she spent holding Leticia by a little bit.

Placing the blushing Leticia onto the bed and covering her with the blanket, Melanie turned and sat on a chair in the room.

"You're not leaving?"

"After what happened just now, I'm afraid you might accidentally fall again later." Melanie indicated that her intentions were simple. "Don't worry, I won't disturb your rest."

You being here is the biggest disturbance, Leticia wanted to say.

But after thinking about it, she finally decided to let Melanie stay here if she wanted to. Even if she refused, Melanie wouldn't leave anyway.

It would be better to just get a good sleep and recover her energy.

She pulled the blanket over her head, intending to be out of sight, out of mind.

Had to admit, Melanie controlled her presence very well. After closing her eyes, Leticia couldn't feel the other person in the room at all.

But that person definitely existed. Leticia peeked at Melanie from under the blanket; the white-haired girl already had headphones on and was looking down, scrolling through something on her phone.

Sigh, today was truly embarrassing. Being seen in such a disheveled state by Melanie, and even being carried in a princess carry by her, Leticia really wondered if she had been favored by misfortune today; otherwise, why would such things happen?

Fatigue made Leticia's thoughts gradually become chaotic. She yawned and closed her eyes.

This time, she was truly asleep.

The sound of breathing gradually became steady. Melanie took off her headphones at the right moment and walked to the side of the sleeping Leticia.

The sleeping Leticia shed her usual hard exterior, revealing the softness that belonged uniquely to her.

Such a Leticia could undoubtedly star as the sleeping beauty in a fairy tale; no, she was even more beautiful than the sleeping beauty.

Melanie reached out her hand, wanting to touch Leticia, but at the very last moment before touching the girl, her hand stopped.

Can't do that, she told herself.
