Chapter 124 - Chapter 123 You're a Sword Saint

"You should squeeze the water out of your brain and stop thinking about nonsense all day, understand?" Leticia was speechless. Truly speechless. Had this woman completely turned into a love-brain?

You're a Sword Saint, a Sword Saint! Your brain isn't just for decoration.

"I have two plans right now. One, I return directly to the Demon Realm, and whatever happens next has nothing to do with me."

"No!" Hearing that Leticia wanted to return to the Demon Realm, Melanie hurriedly spoke up to stop her.

A few days was nowhere near enough.

"I don't want to go back so early either. So, the second way is to send Eriko somewhere else. That way, even if she is tracked down by the Elves, it won't affect us."

After saying that, Leticia paused to observe Melanie's reaction. Seeing that Melanie was seriously considering the proposal, she spoke the rest. "But, you have to figure out how to explain it to Leticia—explain why you're sending away her new best friend."

"Furthermore, until this matter is over, you cannot let Leticia go looking for Eriko. Otherwise, Leticia's safety cannot be guaranteed."

"I can't stop Leticia." Melanie immediately stated that she absolutely could not get past Yori's side of things.

Leticia rolled her eyes at Melanie. She knew this woman would say that. An incurable siscon was truly difficult to deal with.

"Keeping her here is still very dangerous. Besides, the Elves' public claim is that she stole a precious treasure. Who knows if that treasure actually exists, and if it does, what its effects are?"

"If what she stole is a highly destructive item, and she's forced to use it under the Elves' pursuit, can you guarantee Leticia's safety?"

Melanie fell silent for a long while.

She couldn't even protect herself, let alone protect Leticia.

The result of high attack power was paper-thin defense. Melanie's path was too extreme—so extreme that when she wanted to protect those around her, she could only use attacks to cancel out attacks. Defense? She didn't know such skills.

"Alright, now the problem arises: how do we send Eriko out without Leticia knowing?" Leticia spread her hands, expressing helplessness at her own question. "If all else fails, just ask those old friends of yours for a favor and have them take Eriko away."

With Melanie's connections on the human side, wouldn't accomplishing this be a breeze?

"What if she misunderstands?"

"What do you mean?"

"What if she thinks we're pushing her toward the Elves and triggers the item early to take us down with her?" Melanie's brain finally started working. Truly worth celebrating.

"That's unlikely; you're her benefactor."

"If she really thinks that, we'll be her enemies."

"What a mess. I'll just pack up and go back to the Demon Realm to hide. Tell me when you've settled things here." Leticia gave up on thinking. She, a Demon, wouldn't get involved in the ill-fated entanglement between humans and elves.

Time to slip away.

Seeing that Leticia really intended to leave, Melanie quickly pressed down on Leticia's shoulders, pushing the girl back onto her bed.

"You... what are you doing?" Leticia swallowed hard, her eyes involuntarily drifting toward Melanie's loose collar.

She could vaguely see those two small mountains, and... Whoa, what was she thinking?!

Too filthy. She absolutely could not become a person like Melanie, whose head was full of perverted thoughts.

"Before you leave, can you help me one last time?" Melanie also knew her current actions were a bit aggressive, but she didn't have time to think much more.

"Is this the attitude of someone asking for a favor?"

"Please don't mind the details." Melanie sat down beside Leticia and voiced her request. "Can you explain the situation clearly to Eriko and then tell her what we plan to do?"

"You go?"

"I can't." Melanie lowered her head, rarely admitting she wasn't up to the task. "Can you... go?"

"Why should I? I'm a Demon, the Demon King, you understand?" Leticia almost pointed at Melanie's nose to scold her. "Why should I get involved in your messy troubles?"

"But you're the only one here with the ability."

"Luna, Kira, Candice—can't they all do it?"

"But they all listen to you." Melanie's words explained why she was talking to Leticia.

Leticia was the leader; Melanie had no way to bypass her to ask the others to do anything.

"But why? What's in it for me? Why should I help you?" Leticia crossed her arms and huffed. "I'm not poor now; I won't be bribed with money."

"...Then, how about beauty?" Melanie winked at Leticia. "Sleep together tonight?"

Heh heh heh.

Leticia directly raised her hand and gave Melanie's head a thump. Though she knew this wouldn't knock the water out of Melanie's brain, she felt that thumping her might still save her. If she didn't, the Sword Saint would truly be ruined.

"Please cherish your body, Malanie," Leticia said fiercely to Melanie. "Am I such a shallow person? Do you think I would succumb to such low-brow tastes?"

"I'm telling you, it's impossible!"

And could this even be considered a reward? Wasn't this Melanie collecting a reward from her instead?

She was working for Melanie, and she had to pay Melanie back too?

What a joke!

"Pursuing love is a high-brow taste!" Melanie retorted.

"But you as a person are too low-brow."

"In a bit, you can use my computer to play games."

Ah, the trump card.

Leticia's hands were indeed itching after not touching a computer for two days. She felt her physical strength gradually recovering, so playing for a little while shouldn't be a problem.

But Kira didn't think so. Her younger sister still strictly controlled Leticia's daily activities—for example, not letting Leticia play games.

"I'll handle the explanation. Just say whether you agree or not." Melanie found that she really had a talent for negotiation. Looking at Leticia, who just had a face saying it was impossible to agree, she was now starting to show a conflicted expression.

As long as she added a bit more fuel to the fire, she could sleep while holding Leticia today.

Wow, this was simply heaven!

She had to work hard; she must make Leticia stay!

"Kira definitely won't let you play games. And not just today, but tomorrow, the day after, and even the day after that. As long as you haven't recovered, Kira won't let you play at all." Melanie's voice was like a demon's whisper, eroding Leticia's psychological defenses.

She didn't really want to sleep with Melanie, but she didn't dislike sleeping with her either. If it was for the sake of playing games, sleeping with Melanie for one night wasn't unacceptable.

She shouldn't be losing out, right?

Last time, wasn't it Melanie who lost out while she won completely?

Probably, maybe, surely, there shouldn't be any problem?

"Let's get this straight first: no touching. If you dare to have any improper thoughts about me, I'll slap you right across the face."

"I definitely won't touch you!" The softening of Leticia's attitude made Melanie instantly excited. Sleeping with Leticia! She couldn't wait!

"Fine, I agree to your request. But I have to go home and take a shower first. Kira should be finished by now." Leticia finally succumbed to the games.

Unable to withstand temptation—that described people like Leticia.

"You can shower at my place!"

"Please don't push your luck, thank you." Leticia reached out her finger and gave Melanie's forehead a hard poke. "Do you think I'm like you, liking to shower in front of others?"

Although she had been letting Kira help clean her body these past few days, one was her sister and the other was an enemy; the two were completely different. Leticia wasn't so brain-dead as to let her enemy help her bathe.

Right, brain-dead Malanie?

When Kira learned that Leticia planned to spend the night at Melanie's house today, the young girl was dumbfounded.

She stared into her sister's eyes for a long time before confirming that her sister wasn't under any magic spell. Sleeping with Melanie really was her true intention.
