He growled, his eyes bleeding black. "I did it for your protection."
"Oh really?" I laughed, but there was nothing warm in it. I crossed my arms. "Your protection."
"Yes," he said tightly.
"What protection? Hunters wanting my blood? That has nothing to do with why you have not claimed me. Nothing at all. It has been killing Cel to be this close to you and not have you. It has been hurting me to carry all these contradicting emotions with no explanation for any of them." My voice was getting louder and I was past caring. "Just tell me the truth!"
"I will tell you everything if you calm down!" he shouted back.
