Chapter 54 - Frenemies

Jay's POV..

Oh!! This Canvas is really pissing me off.

"Oh, Jay Jay! Can't you even handle five dresses?" Freya said, glancing at the shopping bags hanging from my hands.

I looked down at them.

Then at her.

Then back at the bags.

"Five dresses?"

"Yes."

"These things are practically attacking my arms."

"Oh, please. You're acting like I asked you to carry the entire store."

"You could carry them yourself."

"But then what's the point of bringing you?"

I stared at her.

"You brought me here to use me as a personal shopping trolley?"

"Exactly."

"At least pay me."

"With what?"

"Your dignity."

She laughed.

"Bold of you to assume I have any."

I rolled my eyes.

"Freya, I'm really tired of carrying your stuff."

"Girl, it doesn't weigh in kilograms. It's not that difficult to hold."

"Then why don't you hold it?"

"Because they're my dresses."

"And these are my arms!"

"Your arms seem to be doing a wonderful job."

I gave her a death stare.

She smiled sweetly.

I hated that smile.

Mostly because it meant she knew she'd won.

"Why did you even have to bring me shopping with you?"

"Because I didn't have a choice other than bringing you."

"You could've asked one of your Canvas members," I muttered.

Unfortunately, she heard me.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"I heard you."

"You're imagining things."

"Jay Jay."

"Freya."

"Don't 'Freya' me."

"Then don't 'Jay Jay' me."

She narrowed her eyes.

I narrowed mine back.

For approximately three seconds, we had a silent staring contest.

Then she burst out laughing.

I couldn't help it.

I laughed too.

"See?" she said. "you're idiot."

"Speak for yourself."

"Oh, I am. You're worse."

"That's rich coming from someone who spent twenty minutes choosing between two identical dresses."

"They were NOT identical."

"They were literally the same dress."

"One had slightly different buttons!"

I blinked.

"You're hopeless."

"And you're jealous because I have better fashion sense."

I looked at the dress in her hands.

"That's a very creative way of saying you have terrible taste."

She gasped.

"You're impossible."

"And yet you brought me shopping."

"Unfortunately."

"Deep down, you love me."

"Don't push your luck."

I grinned.

She rolled her eyes.

Failed..

I noticed.

She noticed me noticing.

"Don't."

"I didn't say anything."

"Your face did."

"My face is innocent."

"Your face is annoying."

"Your face is..."

"Pretty?"

I paused.

She smirked.

"Exactly."

I rolled my eyes.

"Keep dreaming."

Ohh I know I am More beautiful...

She's just jealous of me..

She laughed and hooked her arm around mine.

"Come on, Jay Jay. One more store."

I groaned dramatically.

"One more?"

"Yes."

"You said that three stores ago."

"And I'll say it again."

"You're evil."

"And you're still carrying my bags."

"Unfortunately."

"Good girl."

I immediately dropped one of the bags.

"Oops."

She stared at me.

I smiled.

"Look I am here since I want to go on a date with Edrix"

Heheh!!

"You told it to me about 500th time now" I said in a dramatical way.

And just like that, our so-called shopping war continued.
