Another night spending time with my friends in the game of [Yggdrasil] another day began within the Multiversal Shop.
I sat there playing on my phone and playing some of the various games across the multiverse that I could in between the times customers would show up.
I came to stop really giving a shit about the customers anymore in the first place as all I could do was talk to them like a 'loyal employee' to sell them things.
'I need a weapon that can slay a Dao Immortal Star Ancestor, does this place sell anything that can?'
'My world is being ravaged by an incurable disease! Does this place sell a cure?!'
'I was just wandering around the space port I'm at, do you really sell slaves?'
Things like that, some of these people might have been famous in their worlds or stories and some might just be some random background character with barely anything at all.
Anyone can appear here from a stories protagonist to a random Joe off the street as the store's door can appear anywhere and everywhere in the Multiverse.
Hell sometimes it's not even people or sentient beings that end up on the ship, sometimes the door appears where an exceedingly rare material or item has been discarded and lands into the shop which is converted into credits where I get a small sum of the amount as that item is added to the never ending catalog of items available for purchase.
Soon enough another day ends, I play with my Pokemon, Make some food for all of us, let them go play while I go back to play Yggdrasil for the night then later go to bed before waking up to start the next day.
Rinse and repeat it's the same thing over and over again, I mean besides being forced to work in this store permanently it's not terrible it's just boring.
I can't do anything at all besides playing with my Pokemon and playing video games, but there's a full multiverse out there but I can't even go see it because I'm stuck here.
And so the days passed by as usual, making sales, and earning some extra profit while taking care of my Pokemon in my pocket dimension where I went and bought them toys to play with when I'm not around.
Though as the days passed the timer went down more and more with each day being akin to a full month on the timers count down.

59 days had passed since the countdown began and no sign of the owner anywhere to be seen with the countdown ending when this work day ends.
And finally after what was two full months of being stuck here, or three if we include the first month before the countdown started it finally ended.
[Owner has not returned in over 5 Years]
[Ownership of the Multiversal Shop shall now be transferred to the highest level employee of the shop]
[Ownership has been transferred over to-]
[Error name not located in databanks]
[Searching]
[…]
[Name found, Ownership has now been transferred to employee [Orian] and all functions of the shop has been transferred to your hands]
'Orian? Isn't that just my player name in Yggdrasil?' That's not my name when I was alive it's -

"Ow fuck! My head…." I shout as I grabbed my head in pain before realizing…. I can't remember my name anymore.
The only reason I chose Orian as my name was because I was fascinated by the constellations in the night sky when I was a child so that why I chose that as my username but now I guess it's my real name now as well.
[Under New ownership the store will now be reset and all previous customers from the multiverse will be barred access to the store]
"Isn't that a bit harsh?" I couldn't help but say to which it responded.
[No, because that has restricted only one copy of and infinite number of versions of that person with the difference between them being one of the Myriad number of minor decisions that they could have made in their entire lives with them ultimately being the same person, they will just now be a person that you haven't interacted within the store.] the shops system goes onto explain to me.
"Oh, I guess that makes sense." If the differences are so miniscule then in the end it doesn't matter and gives the store a fresh restart on customers.
[As the owner now you have a 75% discount on all purchases within the shop and all sales 50% of the profits will go to you.]
[However as the new owner you no longer make passive profits and the only way to make money is through sales]
[However outside of profits made from selling items through the shop customers can also do contracts for other worlds to gain Credits by helping them with there problems so long as they can offer credits in comparison to the problem/goal they wish to accomplish with the higher amount of the contract will be worth with an additional 30% needing to be paid for the contract to be posted here in the shop.]
"Why didn't I know about that before?" This was news to me.
[Anyone who purchases an item from the shop becomes a card member as you know and as such they will have access to the contract system outside of the shop, other customers can place contracts but major world events in other worlds can also form contracts that those outside can participate in, these have a much larger payout as a result.]
'Oh, so that's why I never knew about this….' I thought to myself I guess that was another way the shop made money.
[The Door will appear at random across the Multiverse for any willing customer, along with the doors appearing near forgotten relics, ancient artifacts and rare materials across the multiverse these will be given to the owner to sell]
[Detecting over 100 miscellaneous items gathered since the last owner has been here, does user wish to sell off all items?]
"Oh yeah, things have popped up over the last 3 months I've been here." As an employee these were items that the previous owner owned so I could only store them away.
I didn't really care about them as I treated them like the owners mail so I tossed them, a screen appeared and I saw all the stuff gained.
More than 90% of the materials I got were basically junk so I sold it off for a good price with five only being real discarded items after all.

[Phoenix Down]
Of the 5 only 3 were interesting to me, that being the Bow, Master Ball and Phoenix Down, Master Ball was obvious because I do want to go to the Pokemon world at some point, maybe I could go out on an adventure to capture a legendary Pokemon.
The Phoenix Down was from final fantasy meaning that I could revive myself once after I die, well if I die that is, and the Bow of Orion well had my new name and this gauntlet bow combo was really cool, especially when you pull on the string a magic arrow appears so I don't even need to reload.
As for the scroll of eternal youth was pointless to me because I don't age since being reincarnated in this shop and I have no use for the Seal of the Mad god.
"Holy shit! It's going for how much?!" I couldn't help but exclaim as I literally found the jackpot with this seal as selling it goes for 500,000 Credits! Hell with my time being here I only have earned over 5,000 credits and most was used up for getting my personal pocket dimension.
So I sold off the seal and the scroll of youth and with everything I have I now have 500,950 I only had 450 on me and the scroll sold for 500 giving me the amount of credits and now I had plenty of money to buy whatever I wanted.
Well at least anything of the low tier stuff even with my discount as their are still plenty of things in the multiple of millions to even billions when it comes to the mid tier and upper tier grade items in the multiverse.
But since I have no desire to conquer the universe I'm pretty satisfied with what I got.
[With that Everything has been said and the shop now officially open] the system said as the shop went silent and the door now activated.
So I went behind the counter and sat on my chair as I waited for my next customer to arrive.
