Jake stood there, with a smile on his face. He didn't think that she would change her mind in such a short amount of time. And the way she was talking now, it was quite intriguing for him.
She moved closer and took his hand, "Do you mind if I take you now?"
Jake shook his head, giving his approval.
Her eyes, dark and liquid in the torchlight, held a new, decisive fire. The raw vulnerability of the alcove confession was gone, replaced by the bearing of a chieftainess.
"Not here," she said, her voice low but resonant in the stone corridor.
"Not where any drunken fool might stumble upon us. This should be done between us, no third eye should witness our union."
Without waiting for his agreement, she turned, her wide hips swaying with a purposeful, hypnotic rhythm beneath the simple linen of her gown.
