Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Useless Plans

In fact, the Prime Minister didn't even need to say it; a helicopter had already been prepared, waiting for him to arrive so it could depart.

And so, just as Godzilla surfaced, emerging from the depths and slowly stepping onto the Land.

Within this City, the capital of a nation, countless helicopters took flight.

The moment Godzilla surfaced, it keenly sensed that it was being targeted!

Even if the island nation's reaction was slow, three days was enough time for them to deploy all their forces.

Compared to that, countless weapons were now aimed at it.

Thinking this, Godzilla saw tiny flashes of fire appear on the ground not far away, and then, countless shells struck its body.

Boom boom boom ~

After various explosions erupted, they didn't stop.

Godzilla's feeling about this was—it felt nothing, except that it was a bit noisy!

This was the kind of attack that didn't even scratch the paint, let alone penetrate its armor.

Godzilla had no intention of taking a beating without fighting back.

You started it.

"What is that?"

Those observing Godzilla through satellite monitoring and other equipment all had the same thought simultaneously.

Godzilla's dorsal fins lit up with a strange glow, and its head lowered slightly.

Godzilla opened its mouth wide, its lower jaw splitting into two halves, and then, terrifying flames erupted from its mouth. The flames instantly reached the ground, then spread outwards, setting the earth ablaze.

But this was not the end; rather, it was just the beginning!

The flames spewing from its mouth gradually converged, forming a blue beam of light.

This beam of light not only possessed extremely high temperatures but also terrifying penetrative power!

Simply by Godzilla raising its head and changing direction, any building struck by this ray in its path was instantly pierced through.

Every area swept by the ray melted into magma.

Godzilla's target, however, was not these buildings. It rotated its head, sweeping the tanks on the ground.

With just a slight turn of its head, the tank division on the ground was completely annihilated!

Next, it was the aircraft in the sky.

This was a bit more troublesome, requiring Godzilla to sweep a few more times.

And it was these few sweeps that made the already damaged City appear as if it were truly in a molten inferno, with nothing but flames visible.

And standing amidst the flames was—Godzilla.

This scene left everyone observing Godzilla via satellite speechless.

They had not anticipated that Godzilla possessed such terrifying abilities.

"Does it, perhaps, intend to destroy the world?"

The abilities Godzilla displayed were, without a doubt, capable of destroying the world.

In just a few minutes, or perhaps even less, a City was largely destroyed.

If Godzilla were to reach other places, it is likely that everywhere it went would be turned into a sea of fire, wouldn't it?

At this moment, they had only one thought: to kill Godzilla!

But was Godzilla really that easy to kill?

Looking at the hellish scene before it, Godzilla surprisingly felt no fear.

Perhaps because it was no longer human, it didn't feel much fear regarding the death of life.

Of course, it's also possible that those people didn't die right before its eyes.

After all, under the Atomic Breath, not even ashes remained of them.

Those few bursts of Atomic Breath just now didn't consume much of Godzilla's energy.

Simply by taking in air and water, it could obtain enough energy through fusion reactions, and this small consumption was quickly recovered.

After defeating the forces of the island nation, Godzilla did not continue its activity but stood still.

Even if Godzilla displayed terrifying power, humanity would not let it go; they would even be determined to kill it as quickly as possible!

Unless all of humanity's current weapons were incapable of killing it, then humanity might settle down.

At least until they developed weapons that could kill it.

In that case, it would have enough time to develop.

Godzilla could clearly perceive that its current size was not the maximum size it could achieve.

It could still grow!

Now, it was a race to see whether humanity's weapons development was faster, or its growth!

Just after Godzilla "fell asleep," the entire population of the island nation went mad!

The island nation was now on the verge of collapse.

But now, no one cared about these ordinary people anymore.

The remaining high-ranking officials who were still alive wanted to execute their previous plan of using a coagulant against Godzilla.

But the problem was, no one cooperated with them, and not even much of the crucial coagulant had been produced.

It could be said that, apart from a plan document, they had nothing to show.

It's worth mentioning that the cabinet officials who boarded the helicopters were unfortunately hit by the Atomic Breath and all perished.

To eliminate all aerial units, Godzilla had specifically amplified the power of its Atomic Breath, extending its range.

It was also at this time that those in the island nation who were still holding out were reporting everywhere that they had found a way to deal with Godzilla, and that using a coagulant would suffice.

But it was already too late, because the American Empire had already decided to use nuclear bombs.

They gave those still in Tokyo half a day to evacuate; once the time was up, bombers would drop nuclear warheads!

This time, they had no chance whatsoever.

Because compared to the so-called coagulant, they trusted nuclear bombs more.

Because no Creatures could survive under a million degrees of high temperature!

Those still in this City also understood this.

But once nuclear bombs were dropped, it meant that for decades or even centuries to come, the entire Tokyo, and even further, would be uninhabitable.

And the impact would not be limited to just these things.

But they were unable to prevent the deployment of nuclear bombs.

"We were so close!"

"We had found a way to deal with Godzilla, why aren't they even giving us a chance to try!?"

Tears of regret flowed from their eyes.

Compared to the deceased elders, the passion of some young people had not yet cooled, but passion couldn't solve all problems.

"It's not that they're not giving us a chance, but that Godzilla isn't giving us a chance. No one knows when Godzilla will act again, and giving us half a day is already doing more than enough."

"He's right. Our top priority now is to evacuate as many living people as possible. If Godzilla wakes up early, who knows how many more people will die then."

Time slowly passed, and during Godzilla's bored wait, its radar detected something approaching in the air.
