Chapter 165 - Chapter 7: Inheritance

The Star Corridor was still quiet when Takeru spoke again.

"…Me and Maki can go to the Zen'in Estate."

Everyone turned slightly.

Takeru continued, steady and matter-of-fact.

"…To retrieve their weapons."

A pause.

"…If Megumi owns full rights to the Zen'in assets, access should be valid."

Megumi blinked.

"…That's… technically true."

Maki crossed her arms.

"…You're saying we just walk in and take what we need?"

Takeru nodded once.

"…Yes."

Silence.

Hakari leaned back slightly.

"…That sounds like trespassing with extra steps."

Kirara sighed.

"…It is trespassing."

Choso tilted his head.

"…Zen'in clan territory is hostile?"

Maki's expression darkened slightly.

"…Always has been."

Yuji looked between them.

"…Is that gonna be a problem?"

Megumi answered quietly.

"…No one there will help us. But they also won't expect us to be organized."

Takeru nodded.

"…Then timing and speed are advantages."

Maki smirked faintly.

"…Good. I wasn't planning on asking permission anyway."

Yuta exhaled.

"…We still need coordination across all groups."

Takeru glanced toward him.

"…This is one component of resource acquisition. Not the full operation."

Hakari grinned.

"…Translation: we're gearing up for war."

Choso's voice was calm.

"…War has already begun."

Yuji looked down for a moment.

Then nodded.

"…Yeah."

Megumi straightened slightly.

"…Then we split tasks."

Yuta agreed.

"…Some go for weapons. Others prepare for Gojo's situation and the Culling Games entry points."

Kirara nodded.

"…That's manageable."

Takeru stepped forward slightly.

"…Me and Maki proceed to Zen'in Estate."

Maki looked at him.

"…You sure you're coming with me?"

Takeru met her gaze.

"…Efficiency is higher with two high-output fighters."

A beat.

Maki smirked slightly.

"…Fair enough."

Hakari stretched.

"…Just don't burn the place down before we can use it."

Takeru replied flatly.

"…Noted."

Choso watched them quietly.

"…You all prepare for different battles."

Yuji nodded.

"…And we all end up in the same one anyway."

Silence followed that.

Not fear.

Not doubt.

Just understanding.

Takeru turned slightly toward the exit path.

"…We move at dawn."

Maki followed his lead.

"…Good. I'm done waiting around here."

And just like that—

plans began turning into motion again.
